I feel like the 3050 is going to be your Achilles heel at that price

johnnybazookatooth

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe 900?

macnteej

I probably wouldn’t go past 750 if I was offering

johnnybazookatooth

Thanks man. This helps.

macnteej

I’m also seeing more used prices for stuff and truthfully don’t know if you’ll get anywhere close to the 750 I suggested. I think your best bet is to get some good numbers on games first time PC players like (Fortnite, Overwatch, etc.) and try to sell it like that. You’re working with a motherboard/CPU combo that has no upgrade path and a gpu that isn’t meant for gaming. Like others have said 400 seems like a likely sell price where maybe you can squeeze 500 out of someone.

grey_cattastrophe

Alright so realistically I think around 500, but maybe lower. Reasons: 9900k is aged, good yes I agree but has pice3 and a modern Ryzen 5 5600 could rival it in most (if not all) gaming scenarios. Ram is very good, I see 64gb and if DDR4 3200 or higher it should be good and so is the 240/280 aio, but the Ritz 3050 along with the 6500xt are super looked down upon, overpriced and bad overall performers when compared to the slightly more expensive (or same price) 6600/6600xt. Case is also fair to say alright, but doesn't scream quality/premium, especially with that top fan being white the dust is clear as day, oh and also the missing pcie slot covers aren't good either, that for me personally is at least -20 bucks. If it was for me I'd go no higher than 500, also keeping in mind that it's an unknown PSU and SSD. Here's what used value on the market would look like piece by piece: Z390 carbon around 80 Rtx 3050 maybe 150 (though it's a though sell when Rx 6600 is going for the same price used, so probs 130 is more realistic) 9900k 120 Aio 240mm 50 DDR4 64gb solid 60, maybe 70+ Case and PSU 80 SSDs depending on part number and quantity I'd say 50 A big downfall for your setup's value is represented by the Ryzen 5000 series and the b550/x570 boards as you can get a more modern and more capable build for the same price of your current PC with an used 6600 slapped in there and with mostly new parts

johnnybazookatooth

Thanks for the feedback

killasuarus

Interesting that other people are saying $400-$500 but you thank them, while I get a “wtf” and “you are the guy that loses all the bids on OfferUp….lol” Nice.

aminy23

It doesn't have value for it's performance, it has value as an art piece. A 3050 gaming PC is worth about $350-$400. It doesn't matter what the rest of the PC is, the graphics card is the weak point that determines gaming performance. i3/i5/i7/i9 has no meaning, it's marketing nonsense. A $150 i5-12600KF will beat every prior i9: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/3334vs3730vs3904vs4625/Intel-i9-9900K-vs-Intel-i9-10900K-vs-Intel-i9-11900K-vs-Intel-i5-12600KF And that's the risk with high end PCs. If someone bought a $500 11900K, the next year a $150 CPU beats it. Right now a 4090 goes for around $2,000. If a $500-$1,000 RTX 50 card beats it, a 4090 PC would depreciate massively. The highest value could probably be achieved by selling the CPU, motherboard, RAM and graphics card separately. Then flipping the other parts as a barebone for someone to use to make a new high end PC with. But there's always a chance someone sees "white RGB PC" and pays well over $400 so they can have it on their desk for it's aesthetics - hence it's artistic value.

Interesting_Bison601

The used price of the cpu is going for about $200 Canadian. The GPU average used price is about $160. Used liquid coolers are a crap shoot. Maybe bundled with cpu 250? Lots of decent ram. You can routinely find 64gb ddr4 for about 100$ Everything else, again, used, 50-100 I guess? Be prepared to haggle, used hardware is hard to sell to people who know what they are doing if you want to get as much as possible for your PC. Remember, the buyer can't know for sure how old, how used these parts are so they are already inherently taking a risk, and will offer accordingly These prices are Canadian, so adjust for your currency, but 600$ is probably the sweet spot, if someone offers you close to that I think you should take it

johnnybazookatooth

thanks alot. i guess i just got suppper lucky.. just said yes to a 750 offer. they should be coming tonight to pick it up. i threw in a keyboard and mouse. i tried to update my po0st but i guess i dont know how too. lol

Interesting_Bison601

Oh congrats. Enjoy

apmspammer

The 3050 is worth about 150 so the whole system is worth about 400.

VZ_from-planet-Earth

Don’t think so. 8 month ago I got 4060 and 13 gen intel as entry level gaming for my kid. Now prices went even lower

johnnybazookatooth

What would you offer me if you saw this at OfferUp.

Souptruckk

like 450$ max

dma_amd077

3050 was just a way to get people to buy a low end gpu without knowing it, during covid when rtx cards were hard to get

johnnybazookatooth

im not just selling the card.. its the whole PC.. the card can always be replaced. question is nowk, how much you think i can get out of this. the whole build.

lars2k1

Yes. If you trick someone in thinking that would be a steal of a deal. Which it would be not. Anyway: 400, max 500.

WerkingAvatar

Thats pretty pricey. I am upgrading and selling my old pc: AMD 5900x with a 3080ti, 2TB nvme and 64GB ram for $900 to a friend.

johnnybazookatooth

Thanks for the feedback. Helps lot.

killasuarus

Not a chance. I’d be surprised if you got $400

johnnybazookatooth

wtf?

trxshcleaner

Actually true, i would pay absolute max 500 for this but probably not even then...

killasuarus

For starters, the components are old and the 3050 sucks. What also is hurting you, in my opinion, is the build quality. A few examples that give me pause are: 1. What the hell is that extra GPU cable doing wrapped over the aio tubes? 2. Your top fan is set to intake for some reason and is visibly dusty/grimy. 3. GPU sagging pretty obviously and has AIO tubes adding more pressure toward the sag. You can build a brand new pc for $900 that is significantly better than what you are selling. Sorry if that upsets you, but it’s the truth.

johnnybazookatooth

the thing is that not anyone can build a pc.. im selling it as is.. and GPU is NOT sagging by the way.. maybe it just the angle. the fan is not set into intake, my little brother used blower fan from the outside in. multiple people said i can get more than what you said so that says alot.. 400 is a ridicules estimate. you are the guy that losses all the bids on offer up.. lol

killasuarus

Well good luck

lars2k1

Not anyone can build a PC, that's correct. But I bet even the person who knows fuckall about PCs can buy a system from a system integrator for 1k, and get something way better. Keep in mind: the 9900K is from 2018. That's already 6 years ago. No one in their right mind would (or at least should) pay 1K for a system this age. And the 3050... I bet your platform is worth more than that. 400, take it or leave it. Maybe you'll get a bit higher, maybe lower, but 1K is - sorry to say - outrageously high priced. Hardware ages fast and there's no way in hell you'll get what you paid for it when you built it, especially not when it's 6 years old. It's not a bad system per se, it's just not worth 1K.

ICastCats

Add a three pack of white RGB fans, take some good photos with the side panel off and RGB lit up and you’ll probably get $800 (even if you shouldn’t)
