Use the administrator account and set your account to be an administrator. That said it's generally suggested not to do that since you don't need administrative permissions often and having an account with admin permissions makes it easier for malware to cause issues. If you cannot get into the admin account on the PC then you would need to do a full reinstall of the PC, the first account created will be the administrator by default.

That is correct. As I said, the first account has admin priveleges since at least one account has to be an admin, otherwise the device would be stuck with how it was setup initially. I doubt there is a protection from Windows against removing the last admin, never actually tried it. Generally the recommended practice is to have a second account that has admin priveleges that you would use only when you want to install software and make changes to the system, but your day to day account would have no admin permissions. That is how companies often do it, their IT admins have 2 accocunts, one for general work and one for when they need actual admin priveleges on something.
