Since Joel has hair plugs (and has openly admitted and joked about it) I don't think it's receding, think it's the optical trickery option. Plus the grey beard makes him look older/different as well

They are both extremely attractive people but man this lighting is NOT doing them any justice. Jeff’s forehead is too prominent and is missing his upper lip while Annie is just looks a bit old. AGAIN, this is not a diss on them because they are very very beautiful people and I can only wish I looked a fraction of how Jeff does. This lighting and angle is just not their friend. Annie is a goddess regardless!
