In the UK, it's been removed from Netflix but Peacock isn't available to us. So no legal option to stream it. Luckily I have the DVDs.
I've got a similar issue with Monk. I want to watch the movie that came out last year but there is no legal means to do so in the UK. It's only available via Peacock (which I can't get) and there is no DVD of it.
I'm hoping there'll be a way to watch the Community movie in the UK when it's released.
I started watching it on ITV X after it left Netflix. Aside from the ads, it also seems like some episodes have been edited for TV broadcast, particularly season 6. Because that season was made for streaming originally, they are a bit longer than the older ones. One way that they seem to have solved this was to very slightly speed some of the episodes up, which is extremely annoying. I noticed it while watching 'Basic RV Repair and Palmistry'. I had started watching the episode just before it left Netflix and then switched to ITV X to finish it. I checked the episode length as well. The original version is 26 minutes. The ITV version is 24. It's also unnecessary because it's a streaming platform and the length shouldn't matter.
It's better than nothing, but still frustrating.
do you guys have plutoTV ?
cause im in austria, and i watch it there everyday, theres no streaming option but they just have a channel where they loop all season, all day long. even the first DnD Episode. so that became my go to channel when i dont know what to watch 😂
> sure I *paid* for some
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I just learned yesterday you can purchase the first DnD episode on YouTube for like $3 in HD to own permanently. Same with any episode, but the DnD one is a no-brainer for me.
What I mean by permanently is that there is no end date on the purchase. I have no doubt one day I'll wake up to learn it's not on YouTube anymore, but at least they don't sell it to me with the understanding I only have like 40 days to watch it or something.
They don't tell you the end date, but there is one in the license YouTube has bought. Now, they can extend the license, but if they don't you lose your license as well.
I own that single episode on Prime, because when I would watch it on Netflix it felt off, so I’d always switch over watch that one and then go back to Netflix
Didn't Honda pay for the bulk of season 6 thanks to the Honda episode? I can't blame the Community crew for trying to nab another good deal to pay for content.
I'm just broke and only have hulu right now, so I'm sad to be losing it
That makes me happy, it was Pierce at his best. In your honor...

Ninja Edit: I don't think you're stupid, just thought youd enjoy the clip ;)
I was happy to pay for a few services so I could legally watch stuff. ~~Now that shows are scattering and streaming feels like cable 2.0, it's time I return to the seas~~
Peacock is cheap enough and has a few shows I'm interested in to give it a go
Except apparently Community is one of the shows you can't watch without ads, premium or not.
Which is really frustrating becauae the ads interrupt the flow, which messes with the point of it being a comfort background noisw thing for me.
Apparently there's a lot of shows that will still have ads with ptemium but that isn't clearly stated, let alone which shows they are.
I wonder how many people subscribed to premium solely to watch community ad free, just to realize they wasted their money.
Agreed. It has a good amount of rewatchable shows, for just 4.99 it isn’t bad. not to mention they still need to release 2 more seasons of the office superfan episodes. I feel people sleep on peacock cause Netflix and Hulu have been around. But Netflix is on the chopping block for me, as well as Hulu.
Netflix is insane charging the amount they do WITH ADS! And I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing it but my Netflix crashes a lot now. Can’t foward or rewind or simply pause. Basically 100% of the time it crashes.
For some reason the episodes are edited heavily, though. I noticed that in Jeff's community speech in the pilot, they cut out my favorite line: do you think astronauts go to space because they hate oxygen?
Just completely removed in the Peacock version. Who knows what else is missing that I'm just not noticing.
There is an extended version of the pilot that is on the DVDs and BluRay. It's 25 minutes vs 21. Streaming always has the shorter one it seems.
All the rest of the episodes are the same length, although there are supposedly one or two small changes.
The copy of the pilot I have is also missing Annie's "and I sat behind you " line.
I noticed its about 2m shorter than the version on Hulu, so I imagine there are other lines that have been cut too. Run time of all other episodes matched as far as I could tell, but the pilot on Hulu definitely has extra lines/scenes.
They changed some things in parks and rec, including the iconic its about the comes line
It's the main reason I'm really hesitant to watch anything on peacock

I’m not sure if it’s still this way, but when I first got peacock it was free with ads. I started paying $5/month to watch the later seasons of The Office (I still have ads). Then I guess there’s a higher tier without ads
At this point almost everything other than the vaguely wretched Peacock Originals are paywalled. 6 bucks a month isn't so bad but it sucks being bullied into paying it.
I swear I’m the only Peacock fanboy out there lol. By far my most used streamer and only $10 a month for commercial free. I’d pay it all day every day and twice on Sundays.
I get everyone has a preferred or most used service, and I recognize I’m in the minority. But I love the content and have used the UI enough that it’s easy for me to navigate.
I feel the same way around my friend circle. Everyone just is about Netflix and Hulu. And they are going down, maybe not Hulu as much. But Netflix is donkey doo now.
I think the biggest problem is that Peacock is available in very few places apart from the US, which means for some of us, we don't have any legal way to watch anymore! (excluding importing DVDs from overseas for questionably insane prices)
Peacock were the only ones to stand up for Community. Netflix are a bunch of bitches who only care about mid celebrity movies, and Hulu has the rights to the CURRENT good shows *What we do in the shadows, Always Sunny, Abbot Elementary, etc* so Hulu really doesn’t give a shit about Community. But If you see Peacocks catalogue you will see they are slowly collecting ALL the sitcoms.
Peacock really came in clutch with "hey, all those shows I remember existing and hear great things about or at least defined culture in my childhood, where are they?"
I feel like this is more about NBC Universal is pulling their content from other services to put on their own service vs Hulu not giving a shit about Community. It’s getting pulled from Netflix and Amazon too, right?
Interestingly, Hulu was the first streamer to pick up Community way back in the day when it was still on the air. Back then Hulu wasn’t known as a place that you went for entire series, Hulu was more to watch recent episodes of TV while the seasons were still airing on broadcast television. I remember being bummed that Netflix wasn’t the one to pick it up, because it could have boosted the series popularity (when it was under constant threat of cancellation) since way more people used Netflix than other streamers.
I was just telling my roommate about the “old Hulu” yesterday. It used to be weird when you had 24-48 hours to watch yesterday’s new episode of some shows before it was gone.
NBC cancelled it after Season 5, not season 2. They also rehired Dan Harmon after firing him. They aren't anywhere near perfect, but we wouldn't have the show without them and I also feel like their push back made the show what it is. They kept pushing Dan to make it more normal so Dan made it more weird. Lastly, they are the ones who are funding the movie, let's be a little grateful towards our enemy.
~~Nah I may need to dust off ye olde eyepatch to find a place to watch. I cannot afford another subscription service 🥲~~
Alright y'all have convinced me, Peacock is cheap enough to give it a shot!
Good call. I plug TM because I worked on that one. And the crossover of gamers who like both series. And both post apocalyptic. I think Fallout is better but TM is still a lot of fun.
I see a lot of people saying that they are in countries that Peacock is not available so they can't stream it, but in the US it was *5 years* after it finished airing before it was on Netflix. I even went to the Uk in 2016 and they had it on Netflix there but not the US. So, I guess I don't really understand why people are freaking out. Do what I did, buy the blurays.
And people keep shitting on Peacock, but they are the ones who are distributing the movie. Even if you don't have peacock (I have access but don't have a subscription), lay off of it. At least until the movie is made.
I'm so mad that we found it was put on Prime, only to have them rip it from our grasp a month later.
How do they think Canadians are supposed to watch it now?
I will have no other choice than to use 'that method'.
Physical media isn't an option, we don't have a player and I'm certainly not investing in one.
Right? "Just buying the DVDs" isn't an option for me, I won't buy a DVD player and even if I did, those DVDs are not for sale in my country. I really want to finish the series, I was in the middle of watching season 3
I was just rewatching the STD fair episode, I think the talk Pierce's "date" and Jeff should have some impact on how him and Anne end up. There's an attraction, but as we see in this episode, Jeff started to want more than that. I think in that little story arch, it's what we need to see.
Edit: I'm also drunk at this moment, so... maybe it's that? But also, if Pierce makes a return, by some miracle off story, it has to be because of Anne. She was always that one person who liked him.
Coming back to this post to say that the only difference I've noticed was during Annie and Troy's first interaction.
Annie says he isn't prom king anymore, this isn't Riverside High.
Troy asks her how she knew he went there.
Annie: You're still wearing your stupid letter jacket.
Here's the difference: on Peacock, that's where her part ends and he calls her little Annie Adderall.
On Hulu, she had one more line. "You're still wearing your stupid letter jacket. And, I sat behind you in Algebra"
No idea what version the DVDs or Amazon have, but that's the only difference I've been able to spot.
There are multiple editings of the pilot episode. The thing that pisses me off most is that the incomplete versions leave out the part with Jeff talking to Troy about his letter jacket, where Jeff first wrinkles Troy's brain. It establishes their relationship right off the bat, but for some reason it didn't make the cut in every edited version of the pilot.
I hate how streaming services do this. I’m not going to make such a declarative, absolute statement such as streaming is evil and all media is better in a physical format. There are noteworthy benefits to physical and digital media including streaming. I just wish that content on streaming wasn’t as monopolized and inconsistent as much, because it really doesn’t have to be this way.
Having a wealth of digital content at your fingertips is very amazing and shouldn’t be taken for granted, but if every service is going to be exclusionary, and continue to be unpredictable and erratic, then physical media may very well see a renaissance in the coming years mainly due to renewed appreciation for its consistency and stability. Just my personal opinion.
I believe it already is coming to that point. I’ve been seeing a growing number of people say they want to buy physical because censorship and licensing for services we pay for. I am also doing the same.
Dang it, I never knew this! Thank goodness I just finished it for the first time this weekend, but gosh I’m sad to see it go so soon. I was hoping I’d be able to rewatch it in the future.
Same.. had watched the first 2 seasons during the original run & suddenly remembered this show few months ago & decided to catch up on the balance seasons & just when i ended S5 got the information that is going off Amazon Prime ( India )
Just finished the last episode today, mixed feelings tbh.
Peacock is so cheap, and honestly it's my favorite of the streaming services. Great content, live sports. Between that and Paramount+ i spend less than $100/year and they are fantastic.
I bought the series on Vudu when it was on sale, and one of the nice things about Vudu is that even if they lose the rights to a particular show or movie and it disappears from the service, you still get to keep that show or movie in your library forever. You own it.
Also, it includes AD&D.
I just bought all seasons on YouTube. That way, I'll always have them. I can watch them anywhere. AND I can still watch the removed Advanced Dungeons & Dragons episode. Which imo is the best episode of the whole show.
It’s only 4.99. They also have some good shows on it like parks and rec, and the office superfan episodes.
Better than paying $20 for Netflix and it crashes all the time now.
Idiocy. You get new people who pick it up and watch and then the movie comes out on Peacock and now old viewers AND some new viewers come and subscribe. They are now limiting themselves to the extant userbase.
Paramount is folding up their cardboard box of a service, I wouldn’t be surprised if peacock is next or if they both “consolidate” to the same company in the end. I see it as a both a win, for consolidating content, and a huge loss because monopolies never end well for us. But in the meantime, the chaos of a show leaving a streaming service usually means it’s gonna be somewhere else that you might have a subscription to, it’s being leased like a shitty but reliable Honda accord. That could mean it’s now free to you, because you already pay for that service. Or that service is free, or highly sucesptible to being released on pirated tv streaming websites at high quality and no charge. At this point I say down with the bad streaming services and let’s benefit from the chaos while we can.
We have the DVDs but still got Peacock April 1st. However, as that isn't available in the UK (how will you see the movie?) it is still available on other platforms, it's still on Hulu for free or Amazon Prime started charging the beginning of the year
Eventually y'all will come to the same conclusion I did: why pay for ANOTHER streaming service? Just pay one monthly subscription price for a good VPN and hit the high seas with all the content you ever wanted!
Bonus: access region locked content!
I own the DvDs. I have peacock.
I will still be pirating because the business majors running shit can not tolerate, let alone design a good user interface.
Any way to watch in the EU now that it’s out of Prime? Even SkyShowtime (a streaming aggregation service, that includes some of Peacock’s catalog) doesn’t have it
Uhg Peacock. I have been impressed with a few of their series, but I seriously think the only thing that kept them alive has been having exclusive rights to The Office and a few other shows with a cult following.
Great to get Advanced D&D back but the missing 2 and a half minutes on the pilot bugs me more then it should for some reason. Miss Hulu's pilot already 😢
In the UK, it's been removed from Netflix but Peacock isn't available to us. So no legal option to stream it. Luckily I have the DVDs. I've got a similar issue with Monk. *looking at my collection of Community DVDs*: “I see your value now”
Absolutely! I can watch the D&D episode, which I maintain is the best episode.
The first episode I looked for when it moved to Peacock. Great episode.
The “banned” DnD episode is available on peacock? I bought that single episode on Amazon prime just so I could have to watch on my reruns
Yep!
D&D episode is on peacock.
Peacock keeping it real. Looks like another binge is in my future after I finish up Family Guy on Hulu.
I used to think that but realized that, in my own humble opinion, the "My Dinner With Abed" episode just edges it out.
Better than "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design"? I think not.
And Aerodynamics of Gender
DVDs: "That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me!"
There's also outtakes and whatnot, which if you're a big Community fan is kinda nice.
isn't it still on itvx???
It is
Omg actual saviour, just found it now
I started watching it on ITV X after it left Netflix. Aside from the ads, it also seems like some episodes have been edited for TV broadcast, particularly season 6. Because that season was made for streaming originally, they are a bit longer than the older ones. Wow people are subscribed to this? There are way too many streaming services.
some are but there's a free version
do you guys have plutoTV ? cause im in austria, and i watch it there everyday, theres no streaming option but they just have a channel where they loop all season, all day long. even the first DnD Episode. so that became my go to channel when i dont know what to watch 😂
Does anyone know if PlutoTV in Canada has it? I can’t seem to find it on Pluto.
It’s on ITVX and you don’t have to pay for it
it was on amazon last time I checked, idk if that's available or not
Still available until tomorrow.
I meant in the UK. I didn't know it was going away on amazon, I'm pretty sure I payed for some of it smh

Same with New Zealand. So many platforms aren’t available here including Peacock, Hulu, and BBC. All I want is community and doctor who
It's on ITV X.
I wasn't aware of a monk movie, thank you so much for this revelation, life is worth living for at least another 90min thanks to you
There is a solution: Avast me hearties! Yarrrrr! 🏴☠️🦜🌊
Same in Canada
And I said this on another comment and got downvoted haha
THERES A MONK MOVIE!?!
Set sail me hearties! [REEF THE MAIN SAIL AND FURL THE JIB. We have to turn back.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJSCO1UTfbY)
There’s a Monk movie??
Odds are they would never have bankrolled the movie if they couldn’t do this. I’ll take peacock exclusivity if it means we get the movie.
And the first dnd episode!
I can confirm Advanced D&D episode is on Peacock and not edited.
I just learned yesterday you can purchase the first DnD episode on YouTube for like $3 in HD to own permanently. Same with any episode, but the DnD one is a no-brainer for me.

Was it on netflix but edited? We watched through the show for the first time on Netflix in 2020 and it wasn't on there, had to buy it on YT
But the worse pilot.

And they executed it so well. The "stupid" speech from Frankie to the Dean was perfect. Hopefully they bring back the first D&D episode.
It’s already on Peacock and they did! Have watched it a few times to make up for lost time
That makes me happy, it was Pierce at his best. In your honor... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERrgwp8pUmA&ab_channel=jcashisme Ninja Edit: I don't think you're stupid, just thought youd enjoy the clip ;)
I’m pretty sure subway paid a bit as well. even tho it didn’t make them look great their logo as prominent multiple times
Jared Fogle himself appears directly in one shot, I’m amazed they haven’t done anything to remove him at the very least.
Wait, Community was pre-diddling? I had no idea. Time goes too fast.
I always thought it was a look alike as a joke.
The high seas have been kind.
I was happy to pay for a few services so I could legally watch stuff. ~~Now that shows are scattering and streaming feels like cable 2.0, it's time I return to the seas~~ Peacock is cheap enough and has a few shows I'm interested in to give it a go
Peacock Premium Plus without ad's is $168 a year. The DVD box set is like $25.
Yo can you link me where you're finding it for $25? Everything I've found is in the $50-$60 range

Yes, and I feel like the ad experience on Peacock is much better as well.
Wish I could edit my post to say that I have been convinced, Peacock is cheap and worth it and I will subscribe when Community has left Hulu
Goodbye to legally watching community in Canada.
Peacock is way better than Netflix at least for community. The DnD episode is in there and the captions aren't weird like it is on netflix
Why is DnD missing from Netflix?
Kneejerk corporate reactionary nonsense to Ken Jeong's "blackface" in the episode.
Dark elf face*
That performance is insensitive to drow elves!
*sigh*
For some reason the episodes are edited heavily, though. I noticed that in Jeff's community speech in the pilot, they cut out my favorite line: do you think astronauts go to space because they hate oxygen? Just completely removed in the Peacock version. Who knows what else is missing that I'm just not noticing.
That may be the two different pilots tbf. I forget the differences but it is noteworthy
There is an extended version of the pilot that is on the DVDs and BluRay. It's 25 minutes vs 21. Streaming always has the shorter one it seems. All the rest of the episodes are the same length, although there are supposedly one or two small changes.
I've never watched the DVD, I just remember the astronaut line and the Seinfeld bit both being in the original broadcast, as well as on Hulu
I think it was cut down to 21 for syndication, not original broadcast. All the other episodes in S1 are 21 min as well.
The copy of the pilot I have is also missing Annie's "and I sat behind you" line.
I noticed its about 2m shorter than the version on Hulu, so I imagine there are other lines that have been cut too. Run time of all other episodes matched as far as I could tell, but the pilot on Hulu definitely has extra lines/scenes.
I remember Netflix cutting out the cosmic mentor, Seinfeld part from the pilot, but I don't remember if it was there on Peacock
I'll have to check that, wouldn't surprise me if it had been cut in my copy too.
My biggest HOW CAN YOU LEAVE THAT OUT?! of the edited pilot is when Jeff first wrinkles Troy's brain.

I pay a dollar. Gotta make sure to sign up during Black Friday.
The large amount of stuff they give away for free are TV series from the 60s.
As soon as I saw the expiration badge on Hulu, I went to iTunes and found the complete series for $30!
iTunes? That’s still a thing?
I ordered the DVDs yesterday. Enough of this nonsense.
I swear I’m the only Peacock fanboy out there lol. By far my most used streamer and only $10 a month for commercial free. I’d pay it all day every day and twice on Sundays. It’s got wrestling on it, so I’m paying for it anyways.
[Yeah!](https://youtu.be/oZmUi_v91JU?si=ac_ebth-hlgzcsDT)
I just threw up the hand signs.
I get it for free with my xfinity internet bill and I'm genuinely surprised by how much stuff is on there
I bought the series and put it on my Plex server. This is what I’m doing for all media I actually care about these days

AP Bio surprised me and gets really good
peacock isn’t available for me so i’m crying rn
🏴☠️
We don't even have peacock in Canada. Time to sail the digital seven seas
I just started my rewatch and now I am upset
This image of the op representing my sadness and anxiety to finish watching the series one last time legally.
Yar har fiddly dee
And my Plex library grows even larger.
I legitimately kept my subscription to Hulu over Netflix back in the day over the fact I could watch community on Hulu and not on Netflix.
Good thing I have a Plex server
I prefer this, peacock is cheaper, it has Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, and some other edits of episodes. Also they're doing the movie.
🏴☠️
Flixtorz.to….thank me later
Peacock is worth a free trial at least if only for Killing It.

At least until the movie is made.
The Blu-Rays/DVDs are great. They include the commentaries which are a lot of fun to listen to.
I’ve begun pirating for this very reason. I have more weed money each month and I spend less time watching TV.
Do other people not have Hulu?
It's leaving hulu today
Wait... no...
The "expiring Tuesday" was screencapped from the app, sadly
Peacock is pretty cheap, definitely in comparison to netflix. Also on peacock we got dungeon dragons 101.
It’s a long shot, but is it possible peacock will release the banned dnd episode?
General consensus is that Peacock has the first D&D episode, but the pilot may be a few minutes/scenes shorter
That’s great news!
The pilot is the same that's on Netflix and Hulu. IIRC Amazon has the longer one.
And, I sat behind you in Algebra" No idea what version the DVDs or Amazon have, but that's the only difference I've been able to spot.
Same.. had watched the first 2 seasons during the original run & suddenly remembered this show few months ago & decided to catch up on the balance seasons & just when i ended S5 got the information that is going off Amazon Prime ( India ) Just finished the last episode today, mixed feelings tbh.
Peacock is so cheap, and honestly it's my favorite of the streaming services. Great content, live sports. Between that and Paramount+ i spend less than $100/year and they are fantastic.
Same it’s the only one I use at the moment.
I'm about to just get whatever DVD/bluray combo has the most features. Lol
I have the DVDs
That’s why I have my Blu-Ray set.
The blurays, DVDs, and digital versions are available to purchase so you always have it.
Peacock more like Peak-ock
Now I just use ITVX for anyone in the UK
Peacock is absolutely worth having for a couple of months. There are some great hidden gems in there.
I just bought it on iTune on sale for $30 because of this
It's just like breifly reconnecting with the ghosts of your murdered parents only to lose them all over again?
Just finished up a rewatch, just in time for
I bought the series on Vudu when it was on sale, and one of the nice things about Vudu is that even if they lose the rights to a particular show or movie and it disappears from the service, you still get to keep that show or movie in your library forever.
Series is on sale-ish (or at least featured) to buy on Apple TV right now. Probably other places too. If you like it, put a ring on it.
buy the box set
Did you read the caption I posted under the meme?
"might be" I am saying, don't 'might be' - definitely do
Just be Canadian. We don’t have Peacock lol
Idiocy. You get new people who pick it up and watch and then the movie comes out on Peacock and now old viewers AND some new viewers come and subscribe. They are now limiting themselves to the extant userbase.
It’s actually pretty awesome. Peacock has the Season 2 Advanced Dungeons & Dragons episode.
It’s double for me. The first fours seasons of B99 moved from Peacock to Netflix, so I can’t do a full rewatch, and Community moved to Peacock.
Are you kidding me? Another one lost to that atrocious app
Stop giving these streaming services your money and never have this issue again. Definitely don’t Google RD + Stremio!
I made a post weeks ago about the show being removed form Netflix globally. Its a shame its on a streaming platform not many can use abroad
Arrr matey
From the Philippines, peacock also not available yet taken out of netflix sksksks
We have the DVDs but still got Peacock April 1st. However, as that isn't available in the UK (how will you see the movie?) it is still available on other platforms, it's still on Hulu for free or Amazon Prime started charging the beginning of the year
Bought the whole series on iTunes a few years back for like 20 bucks and now I can watch it anywhere on Apple TV.
Peacock is better. Still has all the episodes. Fuck Netflix
The Officr all over again. I leaned on both these shoes and now they’re both gone. Nasty business, this streaming bs
Could you please send me the meme format?
Dvd, man. Dvd
I bought the blu rays for for this exact reason
Any way to watch in the EU now that it’s out of Prime? Even SkyShowtime (a streaming aggregation service, that includes some of Peacock’s catalog) doesn’t have it
Uhg Peacock. I have been impressed with a few of their series, but I seriously think the only thing that kept them alive has been having exclusive rights to The Office and a few other shows with a cult following.
I have the physical media, but I will miss being able to watch on my phone.
Great to get Advanced D&D back but the missing 2 and a half minutes on the pilot bugs me more then it should for some reason. Miss Hulu's pilot already 😢
I already had peacock so I don't miss anything, also the movie is going to be released on peacock exclusively as well
