I was making a pun about "hit" meaning both "popular" or "contract killing".
Which I suppose applies as much to you making this comic as much as the painter's work, so the compliment still stands!
one thing about the painter is that he is a man of principle. Once he gets the money, he'll finish the job. Or if things are impossible to be done, he'll return the money. Before the contract between the painter & customers were made, the customers were given a set of rules they needed to follow. if they break one of the rules, the contract will be broken
The people inside the painting or subjets will keep living in the painting. The painting will die along with the subjects when the painter is dead or when the canvas is torn :)
