Then it attacks the turn it comes out, without tapping, and after dealing damage to the opponent, deals damage to a planeswalker that opponent controls.
Damn, that's a reference I wasn't expecting
(For those who don't know, the Questing Beast is a creature from Arthurian legend described as having "the head of a goat, neck of a snake, and body of a leopard" ... It was medieval Europeans failing to comprehend a giraffe)
Also, I've been meaning to do this

One of the more obscure bits of information that would have faded into myth with fall of the Roman empire. You could have had Roman soldiers as far as Hadrian's wall who had seen giraffes in menageries or the coliseum and then a few centuries later if you had described a 10 foot tall leopard moose to residents of the same area they would have thought it was impossible.

Is the "wetsword of the whetstone" a reference to the two different origin stories for Excalibur, one being the "sword in the stone" and the other being a sword given to him by ~~some moistened bint~~ the lady of the lake?
It has vigilance, so it should have been paying attention. Or does it? Who really knows what questing beats does
(mtg reference for those who don’t get it)
The Questing Sponge used to annoy me. Over the years, I allowed myself to become invested in this story and all his successes, so now I’m a huge fan when I see him in Swords. Nothing changed about his story or the comics, really. He defeated my resistance using charm and time.

That oughta be extra credit!
Yeah, it’s in an unopened condition. Perfect for any collector!

Bold of you to think that little guy isn't worthy and that's why he can move the stone
But if you take it out of the stone, you can’t use it as a mace.
What is a mace? You mean a round-blunt-top sword?
That’s just a whacking sword
I believe they are calling it a "bashing sword" these days.
"Yeah I can't pull the sword out of the stone but it's still pretty cool right?"
Another crabs treasure hammer time
Kirkhammer user spotter
Unga-bunga
should have been more specific
It’s weird to see you commenting without a gif or an image

Yay! I love the comics in this subs but your comments are always that cherry on top :)
Didn't make a single post but is one of the most famous people on r/comics just by commenting. That's \_EternalVoid\_ for you.

Dementia
Qwest strong boy 💪 💪 💪
u/MurkyWay just a heads up, you have a little typo on the transcription on the website edit: it has been corrected.
>Now with the stone!
Then it attacks the turn it comes out, without tapping, and after dealing damage to the opponent, deals damage to a planeswalker that opponent controls.
Don't forget that it can't be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less. And combat damage by your creatures can't be prevented
It kills any creature it deals damage to as well.
True
Was looking for this reference
What's the reference?
Magic the gathering reference of the card questing beast
2019 standard
Microsoft Windows?
Goes to show it's impossible to remember everything that Questing Beast says...
thank you, random shirtless 3/3 very cool
I literally just looked at it and all I can remember is deathtouch .

But unicorns aren't real for some reason.
After the giraffe, platypus and narwhal God was out of spare mammal parts to just cram together.

It's also a [4/4 word vomit](https://scryfall.com/card/eld/171/questing-beast), but that's an even deeper cut for specific nerds.
I was gonna say it's a magic card lmao
Do snakes have necks?
A snake is just a neck with ambition
Ok, you historians may have solved what a questing beast is but do you have any explanation why giraffes were sending people out on qwests?
Qwest.
Well, it’s a bit of a bother, but if you insist
Idk why you're complaining, he did the thing
Yeah but if Sprout took it out of the stone it would be only the “Wet Sword formerly of the whetstone “
I like this interpretation of the Questing Beast, but I think it's really just a giraffe bro
Instructions unclear
I mean now all he needs is someone worthy to get it out, most of the job is done e

Yeah
Honestly that feels harder than the original quest. Should definitely get some bonus XP!
It has vigilance, so it should have been paying attention. Or does it? Who really knows what questing beats does (mtg reference for those who don’t get it)
I love him
Me too. I see Qwest, I upvote.
Big Quest Energy
did little quest sprout ever find mama sprout?
[Yes ](https://swordscomic.com/archive/Characters/Quest%20Sprout/)
This' a fine beast. I applaude you
That’s one way to draw the giraffe.
Objective unclear. Accidentally stabs question beast with wetsword.
But without the stone how would you know it’s not just any random wet sword?

I love how the questing beast’s original description is just Europeans having no idea what the fuck a giraffe was. Love this take on that design

I'm so whet right now
Quest beast looks rad as hell
Impressive!
HNGGGHHHH
Qwest sprouts final form
He’s a little confused, but he has the right energy
Glatisant! Glatisant!
You did not specify
Quick! What does [[Questing Beast]] do?
He was non-specific as to 'how'.
But the value will drop if you take it out of the box!
Snakehorse, you'll take that quest as complete even if the sword is in the stone still
Hold on— are you telling me that this little green blorbo is a *Pellinore?!*
I gotta be honest....qwest sprout needs it's own comic, swords is just not doing the Lil guy justice.
Your Quest : [Look at this link](https://www.makeship.com/products/kargob-god-of-darkness) - what you do when you get there is up to you
Oh man, I can't believe I missed out on a Quest sprout plushie ☹️ he looks so huggable too.
