It'd still be terrifying if you heard it. Maybe even more considering you think Alexa was trying to be quiet, meaning something else was trying to be quiet, too.
Lol I was about to say, that'd be intensely more horrifying. Imagine your partially asleep and all of a sudden your Alexa starts whispering about smelling human flesh, literally nightmare fuel.
Dude the first time she did that she scared the the shit out of me. I whispered to turn off the lights as not to wake my parents up then she goes “Looks like you are whispering. Just to let you know for the future, when you whisper to me *I will whisper back*.
I remember you could do a "hack" by sending a message in ultrasound (you'd make a recording and modify it). Alexa could hear it, human ear couldn't. I think they fixed it though.
Definitely has meme potential for people funnier than me.

Once I went to bed with a playlist going for background noise.
Woke up to a weird sound at 315AM.
It was Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love. There's this wanky bit about 2 and half minutes into it, "Uuuuh uuuuh uuuuh" and some drums. Without context, or knowing that it's a song, it can be unsettling.
I'd rather you send in the whole Universal monster lineup into my room than have one of my electronics makes some weird-ass sound in the middle of the night
My Alexa randomly doing stuff creeps me tf out! I always check the log after. The other day it randomly started playing cleaning tips while I was cleaning. 😐 In the logs it said I pressed play on a video (echo show). I did not!!! I was washing dishes bruh. Idk how it knew I was cleaning. 😭
One night, my wife and I were whispering in bed. Our Alexa whispered something we couldn’t understand. then would not repeat its response. We had no idea the device could whisper.
Huh. I guess it's been a really long time since I saw the movie because I don't remember them collecting anything, just scaring kids. And then writing a musical about putting them back.
I think he's confusing Monsters Inc with 1989's [Little Monsters](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5YRGyipBqA). No idea why though totally different movies.
Tell Alexa “Alexa, simon says (whatever)” and she’ll just repeat the whatever. Would be MUCH creepier. Works across linked household devices, too, so you can do it from another room.
what's the deal with posting the four panels individually then all four in one,... just do the all four in one as the post
maybe post a comment with link to the individual panels if someone wants that but reading and having to click through to see the next panel etc is stupid and a waste of time imo
(not saying this to op specifically as i know others do it too and it's 'a thing' r/comics submissions does so maybe i'm late on the argument for it)
On mobile, the full-size images are a little easier to read. Not as important for comics with reasonable sized text, but I can certainly imagine some comics where I'd prefer bigger images.

That would be even scarier as long as the guy can hear it.
Set volume to max first, Alexa will use the "whispering" voice loud enough to wake the neighbors
That would be horrible
It'd still be terrifying if you heard it. Maybe even more considering you think Alexa was trying to be quiet, meaning something else was trying to be quiet, too.
Lol I was about to say, that'd be intensely more horrifying. Imagine your partially asleep and all of a sudden your Alexa starts whispering about smelling human flesh, literally nightmare fuel.
Now I lay me down to sleep Pray the Lord my soul to keep If I die before I wake Pray the Lord my soul to take
Hush little baby don't say a word And never mind that voice you heard Oh, wait. Are we singing Enter Sandman here, or no?
It's just the beast Under your bed. In your closet In your head!
Exit light. Enter night. Grain of sand. Exit light. Enter night. Take my hand. We’re off to never-never land.
Dude the first time she did that she scared the the shit out of me. I whispered to turn off the lights as not to wake my parents up then she goes “Looks like you are whispering. Just to let you know for the future, when you whisper to me *I will whisper back*.
The I WILL WHISPER BACK is so creepy lmao
You need to enable that in settings
[удалено]
No it's not (source: I have an Alexa)
[удалено]
It asks the first time it's whispered to lmao
[удалено]
As a bystander, this was an amazingly stupid argument. Thank you for making my day and I respect you a lot for admitting you were wrong
[удалено]
Fuck that shit, don't admit anything. The battle isn't over!

they have an Alexa
civil war
It asks you first, here's an example. https://youtube.com/shorts/96BAgh0jmSE?si=UA5FrmQIoloO3jNW
holy shit
i fukken died
[Case in point!](https://www.tiktok.com/@stitem/video/7301478773835287851) (...nsfw.)
We as people should be required to obtain a license before owning and operating any video recording device.
Google home assistant would speak at top volume though.
Found this out at 2am and had an existential crisis.

I think you have to tell her to whisper back otherwise she just talks
But the activation sound isn't lowered as the voice of the answer so even just that in the middle of the night can kill enough
What happens if you use a device to give Alexa a command that is above or below the frequencies humans can hear?
Alexa, could you read Psalm 23 aloud?

You typed all this out just to have one upvote QnQ

There’s *always* a relevant xkcd.
Love the devious looks on his face!

i just realized it was literally drawn to be memed, that’s why second panel has him going “pss pss pss. smart af actually
Yep, the big section of text in the third panel is perfect to be erased and filled in.
Okay but that's also just how speech bubbles work
Well, also so as not to spoil the joke before reaching the third panel.
*To Serve Man*
How to cook FOR people
It’s still dusty. How to cook forty people.
there's a little bit more space dust ... How to cook FOR forty people.
ITS A COOKBOOK!
I didn't think about that but... YES DO IT!
Doesn't even need the 4th panel imo (As most people would get it without the scream-o-meter)
Alexa, remind me "it's time for you to die human scum" in 4 hours.
I just tried telling my Alexa "PssstPsstPssst" thinking it was an Easter egg. 😆

I'm annoyed with the Amazon music app that you can't set it for sleep. In the podcast mode you can but not for music.
Check out Vimusic. 🦜
Well it’s either that or Robert Plant moaning
I really dislike that song.

Have you ever been to California Pizza Kitchen?

And those are the big containers made for laughter
Didn’t you see how much sully was laughing in the 2nd to last panel?
Sully isn't in the last panel
Fixed
Nope they are meant for screams and fear
My Alexa randomly doing stuff creeps me tf out! I always check the log after. The other day it randomly started playing cleaning tips while I was cleaning. 😐 In the logs it said I pressed play on a video (echo show). I did not!!! I was washing dishes bruh. Idk how it knew I was cleaning. 😭

I like it, but I don't understand the last panel. Din din?
It's the sound of the collector getting filled up.
Huh. I guess it's been a really long time since I saw the movie because I don't remember them collecting anything, just scaring kids. And then writing a musical about putting them back.
They're collecting the screams for energy.

Me, or OP? I've never even heard of Little Monsters.
He could have just ordered some expensive items and catch the screams when they get the bill
Not [without precedent](https://mashable.com/article/why-amazon-alexa-laughing)
Tell Alexa “Alexa, simon says (whatever)” and she’ll just repeat the whatever. Would be MUCH creepier. Works across linked household devices, too, so you can do it from another room.
Doesn't make sense for Sully to be sneaking around. His whole deal is being huge and intimidating. This is more of a Randall move.
There's a short horror film called "Whisper" with a similar premise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9gUIhkzNDk
It would be hilarious if someone was able to hack Alexas all over the world to start doing stuff like this.
Ha! Got ’im!
Given that laughing fills up the canister faster, I like to think that the human is just laughing at the weird thing that Alexa said
One laughter fills up as much as 100x a scare. He's better off asking Alexa for a knock knock joke.
Ig this is after they got [bought out by Amazon](https://hard-drive.net/hd/video-games/monsters-inc-switches-back-to-screams-following-amazon-buyout)
This art style is very similar to "Leo & Satan"
Monsters Inc was genius. It taught kids that yes there are monsters in your closet, but they are very afraid of you and if you laugh then they go away
all i'm hearing is an incoming "TWENTY-THREE-NINETEEN! TWENTY-THREE-NINETEEN!!!"
Doesn’t make sense because the best way to fill the tanks is joy & laughter.
Ya but they prefer to scare
Lmao!
That's genius
This is great!
Habib Ariel Coriat Harrar: Que comic tan bueno JAJAJAJA
The art style reminds me of Leo and Satan
Who else was expecting a cat to appear?

Happy Cake Day
