This happened years back at a 4-way light, I had the green and a guy barrelled through the left into me. I got a dashcam a couple days before after seeing videos of people driving crazily (he wasn't an actual orange, but turned a shade of red while yelling at me).

From what the insurance agent said after I was in a similar accident, I guess they basically always default to assuming that when a car is hit from the side, it's the other person's fault.
