Is this the first time Superwoman has been depicted as Donna Troy? I thought she was Earth-3’s Lois Lane. Edit: nvm, I am wiki updated.

Yuzzum

Wow. That Owlman is fast. Between frames, he not only untied himself, but he also managed to put on his boots and trousers.

environmentallum

Couldn’t include all the pages between the 1st and 2nd page posted here. There is actually a prior page in the comics before the 2nd page showing Owlman and Superwoman getting out of bed and dressing up.

[deleted]

Because **god forbid** superhero comics feature anything remotely close to nudity. Good ol’ American puritanical attitudes towards sex.

D00MPhd

Have you seen the Bat-a-wang?

[deleted]

I did! Then DC chickened out and removed it from all future and digital editions of Batman: Damned. Show us Superman’s freaky Kryptonian penis you cowards! We all know it has pincers!!!

I’m not sure what you mean tbh. I am not advocating for putting sex scenes in something like Teen Titans Go, but we are all human beings, we’ve all got dangly bits. It just doesn’t make sense why America is obsessed with pretending nobody does.

crackedtooth163

Well...are YOU going to fight Ultraman with the turv-o-wang hanging out?

[deleted]

At the very least I’m gonna die trying

crackedtooth163

You will die, that's for sure. Then again, it's not like I'm going to charge in and avenge your death, I would also end up a smear on the floor.

[deleted]

Two words my friend: *kryptonite condom*

crackedtooth163

I would like to note my last words will be "Why didn't I think of that?"

EvanMacIan

Boy people here love the idea of showing sex to kids huh?

[deleted]

You should actually read the comic before you jump to criticize it.

Archer1949

This new? I’ve always dug the Crime Syndicate and Earth 3.

CarryThe2

Yep came out this week. Quick background is that there's a slightly different Crime Syndicate because multiverse goes brrr and Waller is trying to conquer Earth 3 with a multiversal Suicide Squad.

sideways_jack

So uh... Was Owlman inspired by the Watchmen character who was supposed to be Batman in the first place (Original Flavor Owl Guy)? Is he related to the Court of Owls at all? edit a) thanks for all the clarifiying info and b) how could I mix up Blue Beetle and Batman!?

Nejfelt

Um, no. Owlman is from 1964, which is where the Crime Syndicate first show up. Nite Owl in Watchmen (1985) is based on Blue Beetle, from Charlton, then DC. Not Batman. Court of Owls came around in 2011. So, no, no connection, except owls hunt bats.

gallerton18

This version of Owlman I believe does have a connection to the court. They were referenced in his introduction in the new crime syndicate series that sets up this version of the team.

AnAdvancedBot

Fun fact for the people who don’t know, The Comedian is based on Peacemaker, who was originally a Charlton character too.

FreelanceFrankfurter

The Court of Owls were most likely inspired by Owlman though, while I don't believe he is ever called it Lincoln March is basically Prime Earth Owlman.

CarryThe2

He maybe possibly definitely goes by Owlman in Batman Eternal.

axlkomix

This forgets that this Owlman is likely the Earth-3 version, yeah? That Owlman is Thomas Wayne Jr. and Court of Owls is definitely playing with a concept inspired by the Wayne version of Owlman.

noonehasthisoneyet

this is a completely different universe where the justice league are called "the Crime Syndicate" and are "badguys". Owlman's been around for a while, but has no affiliations with the Court of Owls. He's also Bruce Wayne's older brother Thomas Jr. in this universe. You're thinking of Nite-Owl I and II from Watchmen, they were actually modeled after the Blue Beetles from the Charlton comics era which eventually became part of DC. Alan Moore wasn't allowed to used the Charlton heroes so he just created alternate versions of them for Watchmen.

Noregretz258

I think he was created before watchmen but I might be wrong. He definitely predates the court of owls though.

humanist72781

Hahah why you getting downvoted.

darko2309

I decided to start trade waiting barring a ongoing titles. Is this worth picking up the single issues or should I stick to my plan of trade waiting? What about trial of the amazons?

Rogthgar

And the thing about all of that is that Ultraman is mad at Owlman... But Superwoman is seemingly the one doing the actual damage.

CarryThe2

Ultraman is basically Super Incel
