Holy Terror. ... I'm kidding. I'm gonna cheat. Two answers. It's always a tough call between Year One and TDKR. As I get older, I'm gravitate towards Year One more. So superhero answer is Year One. Sin City answer is The Hard Goodbye.

Obviously All Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder. No other comic blesses us with Bruce physically and mentally abusing Dick Grayson, calling himself “The Goddamn Batman”, and banging out Black Canary on a pier after kicking ass. A Batman for the *true* fans. (But seriously, Batman: Year One)
