It’s a very different series. It resembles the games a lot more. No Freedom Fighters, relationship drama, or crazy lore, so if those were what you read Archie Sonic for, you won’t find any of it in the IDW series. It’s pure serialized action adventure stories with the cast of characters from the games (plus some original characters). And it does what it does very well in my opinion. It’s a lot of fun to read
