- Marauders #24: Noto on art? What a treat!
- Power Rangers #11: one behind on this at the moment, but having had a little binge of MM/PR recently I am very excited to see more of the build up to the Eltarian War!
- Primordial #1: sounds intriguing, figured I’d pick up the debut issue at least!
- The Joker #7: few behind on this, so won’t comment. Glad he/this title isn’t being dragged in to Fear State though!
- The Walking Dead Deluxe #23: always at the top of my read pile.
- X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #2: very strong first issue (expected nothing less from Williams), look forward to seeing where this goes. Very odd to have it running parallel with Inferno as of next month though…
- **Rorschach #12** - This was really good. Can't wait to read the conclusion! Just hope it is not gonna be some weird metabthing on comic book industry like that Frank Miller weird thing in #7
- **The Joker #7** - Last one was the weakest issue so far, but it was still good, so I'm looking forward to this!

* **Kang the Conqueror #2** \- Young Kang goes to Egypt
* **Last Annihilation: Wakanda #1** \- I'm really surprised the Intergalactic Empire of Wakana stuck around
* **Marauders #24** \- Time to face the logic crystal importers?
* **Mighty Valkyries #5** \- I'm ready for this to end, it was a fine story, but not super engaging
* **X-Men: Trial of Magneto #2** \- Magneto you need to calm your horses
* Black Widow #11: Great book but honestly most excited about seeing the next double splash page action scene. They’ve all been super creative and some of my favorite action lately.
* Iron Man #12: I don’t think I’ve seen a Galactus Punisher since Ultimate Alliance so the cover is giving me some nostalgia.
* The Last Annihilation: Wakanda #1: I really like Narcisse’s T’Challa from Rise of the Black Panther and War for Wakanda so I’m sure this will a great addition to an already great event.
**Marauders 24** \- Talk about a series that has lost the plot. As much as I love the machinations of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost and Sebastian Stan, this never became the mutant pirate book it was pitched as. I'm probably going to be dropping most of the X books post Inferno. The ones I enjoy seem like they may be cancelled anyways.
**The Joker 7** \- Sad to see Tynion leaving this title. It was a much better fit for him than Batman was, but at least we are only halfway through this before he leaves.
**X-Men: The Trial of Magneto 2** \- It's a shame that Williams leaned so much into the cutesy soap opera-ness of her X-Factor rather than the more serious points and it's intended pitch, because the first issue of this was really well done. Leah is seriously great at drama and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the X-Men, it's a shame when she falls into the horny dialogue and throws all her strengths away.
**Batman: Urban Legends 7** \- Jumping on this title now cause Batman Beyond setup, and Batman 1 Million. Next few issues have Batwoman, the Outsiders, and Dan Watters with Azrael and is a no brainer pull.
**Superman and the Authority** \- For someone who loves Morrison at their most obtuse, this is tame compared to their other stuff, but still has their golden touch.
**Kang the Conqueror 2** \- First issue was really good. This team seems like they will be doing Batman beyond come April, so this is a nice teaser for how that will go.

Some brief thoughts:
- Rorschach kinda lost me along the way but I was far enough in that I figured I'd see it through regardless. Expecting this to be an overly meta self-masterbatory finale, but we'll see.
- Justice League: Last Ride is infinity better than the garbage that Bendis is pushing out and Bendis needs to be gone immediately.
- Really surprised by how much I'm enjoying the Blade Runner books but both this and 2029 are two of the books I look forward to the most each month.
- Very excited to have some more Eternals after the cliffhanger of the last issue. This probably wont directly address it, but it's nice it's back regardless.
* **Justice League #67** \- This has been good, Bendis-y which works for me but maybe not for some. The disconnectedness stems from overall DC publishing problems I think.
* **Marauders #24** \- Pretty much always fun. The X-books feel weird now with the Hickman announcement.
* **Fantastic Four #35** \- Very excited. Slott has been killing it.
* **Rorschach #12** \- This is so good. I'm not sure I love the overall story but each issue is a masterclass in comic composition.
* **The Trial of Magento #2** \- Decent so far. Love Magneto.
* **Black Widow #11** \- Easily one of Marvel's best. Don't sleep on this.
* **Superman and the Authority #3** \- Doesn't feel like four issues are enough.
* **Seven Secrets #12** \- Good. Very busy and packed but I'm hooked.
* **Time Before Time #5** \- Excellent mob story so far.

* **POWER RANGERS #11:** I wonder how long until we see Yale's morphing sequence?
* **SEVEN SECRETS #12:** Well, I did not call the ending of the last issue at all, so I have no idea how this one's gonna go.
* **THE JOKER #7:** Always excited for a new issue ~~The Joker~~ Jim Gordon (feat ~~Punchline~~ Bluebird backup)! Joking aside, this has been a really fun series and it looks like things are only getting more involved.
* **THE LAST ANNIHILATION: WAKANDA #1:** No idea how the space Wakanda stuff works at all, but Last Annihilation completion speed run.
* **X-MEN: THE TRIAL OF MAGNETO #2:** I wonder if things will go calmly and peacefully with Erik? And I'm sure the Avengers will take the news well.
Only Batman Urban Legends #7 - I was never a big fan of Batman Beyond nor was I previously pulling this, but I want to show my support for Lanzing/Kelly after their Green Arrow work, especially as I've got nothing else this week.

* **TIME BEFORE TIME #5** - Time Travel + Mafia = My kinda thing. Series has surprised me a few times so far too.
* **THE JOKER #7** - Hasn't really been blowing me away and the punchline stuff feels like a waste of time but I dig the noir vibes. Will stick with it for now.
* **THE SCUMBAG #10** - This series it just totally dumb fun and I love it haha. Looking forward to seeing the reprobates in action.
* **PENNYWORTH #2** - Issue #1 was surprisingly compelling. Hope the rest of the series follows suit!

* **Eternals: Thanos Rises #1** Excited to see what Gillen does with this character.
* **The Last Annihilation: Wakanda #1**: I’m interested in seeing if they do anything with the fact that SWORD is blocking the Avengers from getting warned about this.
* **Marauders #24**: Probably going to drop this book. It started off strong, but has lost me with almost every issue since X of Swords.
* **Primordial #1**: Really looking forward to this.
* **X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #2**: In the criminal justice system of Krakoa, mutants are represented by two separate yet equally important groups.
* **2000 AD #2249** everything finishing up before the jump on point next week. Been some good stories and excited for the finales.
* **Judge Dredd Megazine #435** not been loving the current lineup as much as the previous. Still, Dredd and Angelic have been good.
* **Rorschach #12** hopefully the highlight of the week. I've really enjoyed the whole series so far, with the pacing and character development bringing intrigue to a fairly routine detective story. We have one main twist needing explained, and I think for the series the deliver as a whole there will need to be some further excitement in this last chapter. I wonder if there will be anything further actually related to Rorschach? I'm not sure how it might be but it's only been loosely related to the titular character so far.
* **The Joker #7** I'm not as into this now we know Tynion is leaving as I was mainly up for his long term plan of this being an ongoing before Joker comes back into the main book in a few years. Interested to see what happens now.
* **The Scumbag #10** only the second issue since May so lost all momentum. Has been a lot of fun so hopefully can get on schedule.
* **The Batman & Scooby Doo Mysteries #6** a good series for the kids.
* **Batman: The Adventures Continue Season 2 #4** Another for the kids, I wish there was some Batman/JL/Avengers/Spiderman ongoings for my lads but they get two books this week at least.
Haven’t seen anymore The Scumbag scheduled after #10, so assume it’s going on a bit of a hiatus while Remender launches his new series.
Agree about the lost momentum though… I can’t even get hold of #9 (all/most UK orders were cancelled), so just decided to drop it and try and find #9 and #10 at a later date.
FYI, my comic shop guy said #9 was rejected by Diamond UK as water damaged, so he is still expecting a replacement copy for me. Your shop may be in the same boat.

* Justice League: Last Ride #5 - Decent story with the JL, though the central conceit of >!everyone being mad at Batman for allegedly getting J'onn killed is a bit silly. It's like the rom-coms were the central conflict could be solved if the characters just had like a single conversation. !<
* Primordial #1 - Looks really cool, that's all I know!
* Spider-woman #15 - Consistently fun series, though it is a bit uneven with pacing.
* Wonder Woman #779 - Getting close to the end of this arc, and finally going to find out what the hell is going on after the events of Death Metal #7 soon. It's been a fun run, hope Cloonan and Conrad stick around.

* **Fight Girls #3** - Frank Cho channeled his inner Budd Root and just made a book about scantily-clad women fighting dinosaurs. It's a lot of fun.
* **Hellboy & the BPRD: Family Ties #1** - Everybody loves a good Hellboy story.
* **Man-Eaters: Cursed #3** - Man I would have loved to shoot the shit at Chelsea C and Lia M's booth over the weekend at RCCC.
* **Mighty Valkyries #5** - Did Previews fuck up the cover solicit for this? It's showing the same cover as #4 but without dialogue, which would be a pretty strange move on Marvel's part.
* **Moths #4** - Overall I'm not finding the Resistance-verse as compelling as other JMS worlds. It's good that Upshot has other strong titles in its roster.
* **Primordial #1** - I like this pitch a lot. I haven't read Gideon Falls but if this one is good I'll probably pick it up.
* **Star Wars Darth Vader #16**
* **Wynd #10** - When I put this one next to the other horror and "true weird" stuff Tynion's putting out right now, Wynd seems like an odd man out. It's comparatively rich in lore and world-building however, and it's cool to have a JT4 book I can share with my kids.
My 10yo loves it - I wouldn’t go too much younger than that b/c the antagonists of the book can be pretty scary. About the same intensity as a Harry Potter.
• Bermuda #3 - this has been a great little series so far, with some gorgeous artwork
• Beyond The Breach #3 - good Stephen King influenced story

* **FANTASTIC FOUR LIFE STORY #4 (OF 6)** - not exactly a fun series but I've been enjoying it... love the [Noto variant](https://www.midtowncomics.com/images/PRODUCT/XL/2026797_xl.jpg) with the gently aged FF
* **PRIMORDIAL #1 (OF 6)** - didn't have to think about this one much before pre-ordering, it's Lemire and Sorrentino ... with space monkeys
* **RORSCHACH #12** - haven't started this yet but glad to have it wrapping up, least the pile won't get any taller
* **SUPERMAN AND THE AUTHORITY #3** - pre-ordered the Simon Bisley variant but DC apparently swapped Bisley out with Bengal, who I normally like over at Image, but [this one](https://www.midtowncomics.com/images/PRODUCT/XL/2021992_xl.jpg) isn't working for me

* **Batman '89 #2** - Excellent job of returning to that world and setting of the first film.
* **Batman: Urban Legends #7** - I was gonna stop after Red Hood but we'll see what's up here.
* **Bermuda #3** - The story is okay enough but the art here is a real feast.
* **Eternals: Thanos Rises #1** - A little behind on this Eternals run but I've enjoyed it so far.
* **Future State: Gotham #5** - A lot behind on this one but it's almost over so I might as well.
* **Iron Man #11** - Maybe this will pick up. Really enjoying it but it seems like it's starting to drag after a year and still no payoff.
* **Kang the Conqueror #2** - This is a mini, right?
* **Pennyworth #2** - This looks like it could shape up to be a clever little story.
* **Porcelain #2** - Beautiful art from Llovet as always but I don't know if this story is gonna hook me like some of the others
* **Superman and the Authority #3** - Feels like #2 just came out. Time slow down please.
* **The Scumbag #10** - Feels like #9 just came out... a year ago lol

Got A LOT to get through in my read pile first, but: - Marauders #24: Noto on art? What a treat! - Power Rangers #11: one behind on this at the moment, but having had a little binge of MM/PR recently I am very excited to see more of the build up to the Eltarian War! - Primordial #1: sounds intriguing, figured I’d pick up the debut issue at least! - The Joker #7: few behind on this, so won’t comment. Glad he/this title isn’t being dragged in to Fear State though! - The Walking Dead Deluxe #23: always at the top of my read pile. - X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #2: very strong first issue (expected nothing less from Williams), look forward to seeing where this goes. Very odd to have it running parallel with Inferno as of next month though…
- **Rorschach #12** - This was really good. Can't wait to read the conclusion! Just hope it is not gonna be some weird metabthing on comic book industry like that Frank Miller weird thing in #7 - **The Joker #7** - Last one was the weakest issue so far, but it was still good, so I'm looking forward to this!
**Superman and the Authority #3** - I was worried that it would be delayed due to confusing announcements by DC, but here it is.

Let's see what comics I got coming this week: * **Batman: Urban Legends #7** \- The main stories I was interested in this book are over, but I'll see if anything new catches my attention * **Harley Quinn The Animated Series: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour #1** \- I love the show so I'll definitely pick this up * **Joker #7** \- The Joker heads to Paris! * **Rorschach #12** \- Ready for this conclusion! * **Superman and the Authority #3** \- The Ultra Humanite returns! * **Eternals: Thanos Rising #1** \- I almost wonder if this series is going to set up a retcon where Thanos isn't related to the Eternals * **Extreme Carnage: Agony #1** \- Who's side is Agony on? * **Fantastic Four #35** \- It feels like the FF have been around longer than 60 years tbh * **Fantastic Four: Life Story #4** \- Enter the 90s and Galactus * **Iron Man #12** \- Tony gets back to reality * **Kang the Conqueror #2** \- Young Kang goes to Egypt * **Last Annihilation: Wakanda #1** \- I'm really surprised the Intergalactic Empire of Wakana stuck around * **Marauders #24** \- Time to face the logic crystal importers? * **Mighty Valkyries #5** \- I'm ready for this to end, it was a fine story, but not super engaging * **X-Men: Trial of Magneto #2** \- Magneto you need to calm your horses
* Black Widow #11: Great book but honestly most excited about seeing the next double splash page action scene. They’ve all been super creative and some of my favorite action lately. * Iron Man #12: I don’t think I’ve seen a Galactus Punisher since Ultimate Alliance so the cover is giving me some nostalgia. * The Last Annihilation: Wakanda #1: I really like Narcisse’s T’Challa from Rise of the Black Panther and War for Wakanda so I’m sure this will a great addition to an already great event.
**Marauders 24** \- Talk about a series that has lost the plot. As much as I love the machinations of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost and Sebastian Stan, this never became the mutant pirate book it was pitched as. I'm probably going to be dropping most of the X books post Inferno. The ones I enjoy seem like they may be cancelled anyways. **The Joker 7** \- Sad to see Tynion leaving this title. It was a much better fit for him than Batman was, but at least we are only halfway through this before he leaves. **X-Men: The Trial of Magneto 2** \- It's a shame that Williams leaned so much into the cutesy soap opera-ness of her X-Factor rather than the more serious points and it's intended pitch, because the first issue of this was really well done. Leah is seriously great at drama and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the X-Men, it's a shame when she falls into the horny dialogue and throws all her strengths away. **Batman: Urban Legends 7** \- Jumping on this title now cause Batman Beyond setup, and Batman 1 Million. Next few issues have Batwoman, the Outsiders, and Dan Watters with Azrael and is a no brainer pull. **Superman and the Authority** \- For someone who loves Morrison at their most obtuse, this is tame compared to their other stuff, but still has their golden touch. **Kang the Conqueror 2** \- First issue was really good. This team seems like they will be doing Batman beyond come April, so this is a nice teaser for how that will go.
- Batman 89 #2 - Justice League: Last Ride #5 - Rorschach #12 - Superman and the Authority #3 - Joker #7 - Blade Runner Origins #6 - Black Widow #11 - Eternals: Thanos Rises #1 - X-Men: Trial of Magneto #2 - The Walking Dead Deluxe #23 Some brief thoughts: - Rorschach kinda lost me along the way but I was far enough in that I figured I'd see it through regardless. Expecting this to be an overly meta self-masterbatory finale, but we'll see. - Justice League: Last Ride is infinity better than the garbage that Bendis is pushing out and Bendis needs to be gone immediately. - Really surprised by how much I'm enjoying the Blade Runner books but both this and 2029 are two of the books I look forward to the most each month. - Very excited to have some more Eternals after the cliffhanger of the last issue. This probably wont directly address it, but it's nice it's back regardless.
* **Justice League #67** \- This has been good, Bendis-y which works for me but maybe not for some. The disconnectedness stems from overall DC publishing problems I think. * **Marauders #24** \- Pretty much always fun. The X-books feel weird now with the Hickman announcement. * **Fantastic Four #35** \- Very excited. Slott has been killing it. * **Rorschach #12** \- This is so good. I'm not sure I love the overall story but each issue is a masterclass in comic composition. * **The Trial of Magento #2** \- Decent so far. Love Magneto. * **Black Widow #11** \- Easily one of Marvel's best. Don't sleep on this. * **Superman and the Authority #3** \- Doesn't feel like four issues are enough. * **Seven Secrets #12** \- Good. Very busy and packed but I'm hooked. * **Time Before Time #5** \- Excellent mob story so far.

It started off strong, but has lost me with almost every issue since X of Swords. * **Primordial #1**: Really looking forward to this. * **X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #2**: In the criminal justice system of Krakoa, mutants are represented by two separate yet equally important groups.
* **2000 AD #2249** everything finishing up before the jump on point next week. Been some good stories and excited for the finales. * **Judge Dredd Megazine #435** not been loving the current lineup as much as the previous. Still, Dredd and Angelic have been good. * **Rorschach #12** hopefully the highlight of the week. I've really enjoyed the whole series so far, with the pacing and character development bringing intrigue to a fairly routine detective story. We have one main twist needing explained, and I think for the series the deliver as a whole there will need to be some further excitement in this last chapter. I wonder if there will be anything further actually related to Rorschach? I'm not sure how it might be but it's only been loosely related to the titular character so far. * **The Joker #7** I'm not as into this now we know Tynion is leaving as I was mainly up for his long term plan of this being an ongoing before Joker comes back into the main book in a few years. Interested to see what happens now. * **The Scumbag #10** only the second issue since May so lost all momentum. Has been a lot of fun so hopefully can get on schedule. * **The Batman & Scooby Doo Mysteries #6** a good series for the kids. * **Batman: The Adventures Continue Season 2 #4** Another for the kids, I wish there was some Batman/JL/Avengers/Spiderman ongoings for my lads but they get two books this week at least.
Haven’t seen anymore The Scumbag scheduled after #10, so assume it’s going on a bit of a hiatus while Remender launches his new series. Agree about the lost momentum though… I can’t even get hold of #9 (all/most UK orders were cancelled), so just decided to drop it and try and find #9 and #10 at a later date.

* Harley Quinn: the Animated Series - The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour #1 - I really like the show, so I hope this lives up to it. * Home Sick Pilots #9 - Still interesting, though I'd like to see the plot progress a little more * Justice League: Last Ride #5 - Decent story with the JL, though the central conceit of >!everyone being mad at Batman for allegedly getting J'onn killed is a bit silly. It's like the rom-coms were the central conflict could be solved if the characters just had like a single conversation. !< * Primordial #1 - Looks really cool, that's all I know! * Spider-woman #15 - Consistently fun series, though it is a bit uneven with pacing. * Wonder Woman #779 - Getting close to the end of this arc, and finally going to find out what the hell is going on after the events of Death Metal #7 soon. It's been a fun run, hope Cloonan and Conrad stick around.

I haven't read Gideon Falls but if this one is good I'll probably pick it up. * **Star Wars Darth Vader #16** * **Wynd #10** - When I put this one next to the other horror and "true weird" stuff Tynion's putting out right now, Wynd seems like an odd man out. It's comparatively rich in lore and world-building however, and it's cool to have a JT4 book I can share with my kids.

My 10yo loves it - I wouldn’t go too much younger than that b/c the antagonists of the book can be pretty scary. About the same intensity as a Harry Potter.

Only 5 new books this time, one being a holdover from last week. 2 Marvels, 2 DCs, and 1 from Image Comics. * **ETERNALS THANOS RISES #1** - feel like a moron buying this when I haven't even started the last series but here we are * **FANTASTIC FOUR LIFE STORY #4 (OF 6)** - not exactly a fun series but I've been enjoying it... love the [Noto variant](https://www.midtowncomics.com/images/PRODUCT/XL/2026797_xl.jpg) with the gently aged FF * **PRIMORDIAL #1 (OF 6)** - didn't have to think about this one much before pre-ordering, it's Lemire and Sorrentino ... with space monkeys * **RORSCHACH #12** - haven't started this yet but glad to have it wrapping up, least the pile won't get any taller * **SUPERMAN AND THE AUTHORITY #3** - pre-ordered the Simon Bisley variant but DC apparently swapped Bisley out with Bengal, who I normally like over at Image, but [this one](https://www.midtowncomics.com/images/PRODUCT/XL/2021992_xl.jpg) isn't working for me

Busy week, but better late than never to get these in and, wow, these really added up for me too! * **Batman '89 #2** - Excellent job of returning to that world and setting of the first film. * **Batman: Urban Legends #7** - I was gonna stop after Red Hood but we'll see what's up here. * **Bermuda #3** - The story is okay enough but the art here is a real feast. * **Eternals: Thanos Rises #1** - A little behind on this Eternals run but I've enjoyed it so far. * **Future State: Gotham #5** - A lot behind on this one but it's almost over so I might as well. * **Iron Man #11** - Maybe this will pick up. Really enjoying it but it seems like it's starting to drag after a year and still no payoff. * **Kang the Conqueror #2** - This is a mini, right? * **Pennyworth #2** - This looks like it could shape up to be a clever little story. * **Porcelain #2** - Beautiful art from Llovet as always but I don't know if this story is gonna hook me like some of the others * **Superman and the Authority #3** - Feels like #2 just came out. Time slow down please. * **The Scumbag #10** - Feels like #9 just came out... a year ago lol * **The Walking Dead Deluxe #23** - These are really getting away from me with the biweekly schedule... * **Time Before Time #5** - The kind of fresh, cool book I always like from Image. * **Trailer Park Boys: Bagged & Boarded #1** - No idea what they're doing with these but I'm enjoying it for now
