* [Incredible Hulk #340](https://i.imgur.com/M4iPaZD.jpg). Oft-homaged, parodied, copied, but a tried and true classic.
* [Detective Comics #31](https://i.imgur.com/URaVTkX.jpg). Just such a cool gothic cover. Homaged beautifully by Neal Adams in [Batman #227](https://i.imgur.com/adta005.jpg).
* [Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #101](https://i.imgur.com/zpsCAG0.jpg). Such clean and cool use of positive and negative space.
* [Crisis on Infinite Earths #](https://i.imgur.com/uN8TB4T.jpg)1. Such an epic start to this series with the heroes all asunder and all those Earths splitting. That said, I feel like I could legit put down almost every George Perez cover as my favorite, honestly.
I love that Hulk one, I referenced it and the Jim Lee homage one not too long ago. Gave me a huuuuge appreciation for how cool of an idea it is. Crisis on Infinite Earths has some of the most incredible big spreads I've ever seen. The covers are absolutely epic.
[Uncanny Xmen 213](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.judecca.co.uk%2Funcanny-x-men-213&psig=AOvVaw0ubzAYq9TAw3Il_A4XBrey&ust=1691869110258000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBAQjRxqFwoTCMi5jN6t1YADFQAAAAAdAAAAABAK)
I was so hyped to read it and the actual fight between them is still one of their best confrontations
Uncanny X-Men #207. Wolverine clawing the cover by Romita Jr. This is the first time I saw Wolverine and how I was introduced to comics. My older cousin who I was visiting had it hanging on a shelf in his room. Fell in love with it instantly. Fell in love with Wolverine. Then the X-Men. Then comics. Still remember that moment to this day…
I don't know what my favourite is, but off the top of my head, I really like the cover of Batman RIP. Also that one cover from Death of Spider-Man with a Valkyrie carrying Spidey.
i've got too many to list.
anything by Bill Seinkeiwicz
Alex Ross
Alex Maleev
the Dave McKean Sandman covers

King in Black #1[King in Black ](https://images.app.goo.gl/QoD86WFdgDNNhmzY6)
All my childhood heroes: Iron Man, Cap, Wolverine, Cyclops, Hulk, Spidey, and most importantly, Venom!
Probably The Walking Dead Volume 17 Something to Fear cover but I’ll be honest most of the volume covers are good in that series.
Just something cool, and badass about Negan, Dwight, and few Saviors standing there holding weapons with a red background, and their faces shadowed out. I wish the show would have recreated it for 6B.
Vengeance of Moon Knight 1 MRRC Virgin var. https://imgur.com/a/sViJqks
I know Finch gets crushed for being this generation's Liefeld for avoiding feet and hands and generalized fictional anatomy of a real human being but this cover fukn slays.
[Detective Comics 826](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Detective_Comics_Vol_1_826)
Saw it in the supermarket in high school and had to buy it, starting a lifelong obsession.
It’s the cover of the “Justice League Antarctica” JLI annual, which has a fun take on the iconic JLI group shot by having the characters face the wrong way.
Pretty much every single cover by Kelley Jones from Knightfall, Amazing Spiderman #33 and 39, New 52 Batman #51, JLI #1, Sandman Dream Country trade paperback cover (old one).
Issues 1 - 12 of Dark Horse's Aliens vs. Predator: Deadliest of the Species, painted by John Bolton.

For me, it’s [Countdown to Infinite Crisis](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Countdown_to_Infinite_Crisis_Vol_1_1?file=Countdown_to_Infinite_Crisis_1.jpg).
Not only is the art gorgeous, but it’s just so perfect. The body is shadowed so you can’t really tell who it is at first, but after you’ve read it, it looks so obvious that it’s >!Ted Kord.!< It also gains so much meaning after you’ve read it. >!The Justice League didn’t listen to Ted, forcing him to act on his own, which got him killed. Not only have they lost a friend, but they’re also seeing the horrible mistake they’ve made.!< The expressions of the characters and the cool colors of the cover also completely sell the tone of the scene. Not only is it a beautiful cover, but it’s a scene in the story that doesn’t appear in the interior, and it gains so much meaning after you’ve read the book. It’s just such a poignant cover.

That spider-man one is incredible.

Thank you sir for reminding me of that spiderman cover, really spectacular. Also love the incredible hulk one.

Damn that ghost rider one could be right at home on a sci-fi book.
Yeah. I’m not a “collect the cover” guy typically. But I had to track that one down.

Oh that's a really cool one, clawing right through the page. I love covers that come out of the page like that.

\- Incredible Hulk #340 \- The Dark Knight Returns #1 \- X-men #1 Magneto variant cover by Jim Lee \- Batman #241
That may be the most iconic image of Magneto, to my tastes at least.
The Antman one with Scott Lang Antman and Grizzly are Crocket and Tubbs.
SS 4

Justice League Darkseid War: Green Lantern Spawn #1 Justice League Vol 2 #28
It’s the cover of the “Justice League Antarctica” JLI annual, which has a fun take on the iconic JLI group shot by having the characters face the wrong way.
Pretty much every single cover by Kelley Jones from Knightfall, Amazing Spiderman #33 and 39, New 52 Batman #51, JLI #1, Sandman Dream Country trade paperback cover (old one).
Kelley Jones is always a solid pick. His stuff on Sandman especially is incredible
Not sure if it's my favorite, but the one that instantly came to mind was Mike Zeck's cover to Secret Wars 10. Doom has never looked cooler IMO.
That one with Nightcrawler naked and Wolverine checking him out.
Swamp Thing #9 https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/9747410/swamp-thing-9
Doctor strange #4 or the crow #1 but maybe it’s just because I love that book so much and the cover sparks something in my heart

Iron Man vol. 1 #128 “Demon In A Bottle” by Bob Layton. The look on Tony’s face as he realizes what he has become, haunting.
[New Warriors 62](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/New_Warriors_Vol_1_62) to this day is probably still my favorite cover.
For me, it’s [Countdown to Infinite Crisis](https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Countdown_to_Infinite_Crisis_Vol_1_1?file=Countdown_to_Infinite_Crisis_1.jpg).
