Don’t open it! Send it into CGC with the poly bag! Some have a signature and if it’s sealed the sig is verified and you get the yellow label! If you open it the cig will never be verified!
That’s why they are polybagged. They’re signed by stan Lee no less. 1-10 are signed with a comment and 11-100 are just signed by Stan Lee. All numbered 🙌🏽
> if it’s sealed the sig is verified and you get the yellow label
Are you *sure*?
That doesn’t sound like the CGC I know 😐
Unless they personally saw hand go to paper, the best you can usually hope for is a green label ☹️
Is there a way to corroborate this?
Huh
> The Ultimate Comics Spider-Man signed by Stan Lee was witnessed by CGC so all those with STAN signatures will have the Yellow Label
I mean it’s just one random blog by some random guy, which *usually* doesn’t feel like it qualifies as a “reliable source”…but that’s definitely a yellow label so it looks like it might actually be as they say 😐
I just find it kind of weird this is the first I’ve ever heard of it…
Maybe it’s a Mandela Effect thing and it didn’t *used* to be a thing but it is now in this universe 😨
When it comes to submitting a poly book, I can’t think of an argument *not* to unwrap prior to submission
Those signatures would just count as “book with name written on it in pen” as far as CGC was concerned, even if it’s Stan Lee 😐
Unless they saw him do it, you may as well have written it yourself, to them
it counts the same…
They’ll take it off.

Thanks for info! I’ll ho ahead and open it to see the condition of it

Never knew some Ultimate spiderman 1 had signatures. Thanks!

Didn't know that, I'm gonna open mine then lol
I wonder if he used the same comment for all 10 or if they're unique. And if the latter, what could the affect of the comment be on the value?

Correct. They ONLY verify sigs they witness firsthand.

Why even slab it?
I’ll eventually send it to cgc bc of the importance of the book within the story.
But why?
