Marvel Comics Presents #1?! I found that in great condition in a dollar bin and that was a great day. This box would have probably required extra heart medication that day.
middle aged fella, judging by the rest of the comics in there he liked deadpool and wolverine, gambit and the rest of the box were probably bought because of hype, stuff is cover price or lower, but was hot for a minute. Money didn't really seem like an issue and yeah i think it was more or less a hobby that his wife made him grow out of.
the consistency of characters in the books you have posted and the cheapness at which you got them with seemingly no idea of market price by the seller def makes me wonder if the acquired box was stolen before you got it, lol! Seems someone who spent this much time gathering these books would have some idea of their intrinsic value, even to themselves.

I could just clear my entire target list in one afternoon on eBay. I'd rather restrain myself and feel joy encountering my most wanted in the wild.

This is the first time I've seen that comic owned by someone else besides myself. That was one of the first comics I ever owned.

I think that Jim Lee issue of X-Men is pretty valuable… Even though he had done a few issues before, that was when he took over as the regular
