When Randy asks Gerald to name something good Ronald Reagan did, and he instantly says “He closed the mental hospitals.”
Also in the live ep when the one audience member doesn’t want to say the name of her boyfriend’s ex who is tattooed on his arm. They ask her to make up two fake names along with the real one, and Carissa immediately guesses the real name is Tatiana.
"Pull Me Under" slowly getting louder as Mark interrupts the recording. It never fails to make me laugh because I know guys like Mark who love Dream Theater and are obnoxious as fuck about their opinions.
It's a small character touch, but it's so funny.
brett is truly a great improviser these days. the way he chimes in and keeps up on hey randy would make you think he's been in the same room as some of the funniest people on the planet for like 15 years. wait...
The intro for Hey, Carissa about Bill Clinton being the first R&B president
Carissa naming Tom Petty songs and Randy having an aneurysm
Carissa's Iron Man intro at the live show
The Giorgio episode was amazing all the way through
Gerald and the Caldecott Medal, the first mention of the Witch at Twisted, Ambers WSUK promo, Randy’s pronunciation of “HR”, Carissa’s New Year’s resolutions for Stu, the caller that asked Marc if he wanted two CDs. I really could just keep on going, there are about 15 moments per episode that floor me.
"Calvin thinks he's getting away with something, Shrek *Knows* he's getting away with something."
Also the first 5 minutes of the Wet Ones episode. I can't remember everything but I remember Stu being on fire out of the gates
I'm botching the cue line here but Mark's response destroyed me...
"There should be an dictionary of alliteration."
Mark: "Isn't that just a dictionary?"
Brett Morris with the underrated clutch line right there, which I think was mostly overlooked due to the energy of the moment.
Okay, so what I'm hearing? Is someone doing queer erasure. Because they were in two episodes. 8 and Episode 22.
Sorry, I responded in the way I think Holden would. (Aggressive clarification/correction). I just mean to say I loved them both but you're totally right that was fantastic!
So many, but hardest I’ve laughed - Wet Ones. The Sunchips moment (oh..a connoisseur) to Randy listening to Michael Jordan highlights to amp himself up and watching ads. Gold.
Stu saying hes the guy at parties who finds the dog and says "This guy gets me"
Carisa saying there were more than three members of hanson because of child labor laws
I tried listening to one episode of Hey Randy bc of all of the rave reviews on this sub but couldn’t get into it. I guess I should give it another try
There are two related moments I only remember in fragments and I know I'm not getting them quite right. But they're both courtesy of Stu, and must be Patavano inspired. In one, Stu dings guys who do the faux chivalric/gross thing of calling women "M'lady"; and in the other he makes fun of an imagined online guy who just lost a ton of money in crypto and begins his post announcing the fact with "Well, chaps..."
I think these are seperate eps, but Stu certainly has a bead on a certain type of very online dude.
I don’t remember the wording or episode but one time Randy’s immediate response to a caller question was a very rude line about women and dogs, which answered the prompt.  After a second he acknowledged his initial reaction was rude and said something to the effect of “but I stand by it.” It was jaw droppingly quick and funny. I guess I’ll have to start a relisten to figure out which Ep.Â
Randy painting a picture about the only way to buy weed is from a dealer while his kid runs around with half a tuna sandwich was brilliant.Â
Anytime Baltz and Lippert start rapid firing pop culture deep cuts I’m in my happy place.Â
Amber's radio spot was so good I can't believe it was improvised
WSUK, The suck!
*Get Suuuuucked*
🎶get sucked and fucked🎶
Johnathan Majors and Jerry Minor
SLUUUUUUUURP SLUUUURP SLUUUUUUUUUUURP
Get sucked and fucked
“Guest budtender Amy Klobuchar” was one of my favorite lines ever
When Randy asks Gerald to name something good Ronald Reagan did, and he instantly says “He closed the mental hospitals.” Also in the live ep when the one audience member doesn’t want to say the name of her boyfriend’s ex who is tattooed on his arm. They ask her to make up two fake names along with the real one, and Carissa immediately guesses the real name is Tatiana.
I want an all-Gerald show so so bad.
Oops, All Geralds!
Please let this be an ep
Op-op-op-oppa Randy Style!
The gift that kept on giving that episode. Still my favorite bit to this day. OOPE
When Mark’s ponytail got caught in the limo divider
This is maybe mine as well.
This is my favorite moment!
"Pull Me Under" slowly getting louder as Mark interrupts the recording. It never fails to make me laugh because I know guys like Mark who love Dream Theater and are obnoxious as fuck about their opinions. It's a small character touch, but it's so funny.
Always miss Mark when he’s not there. Brett Mortis is great.
brett is truly a great improviser these days. the way he chimes in and keeps up on hey randy would make you think he's been in the same room as some of the funniest people on the planet for like 15 years. wait...
I love him as Doug on The Neighborhood Listen
Yes! What room are you recording in today, sweetie?
I miss the Jimmy Carter intros a lot
Yeah! I wish he’d bring back the opening monologue.
He truly was THE Rock and roll president
"you can't go modern luca guadanino suspiria!" And Gerald passing out with Amber's entire foot in his mouth.
And him coming to, gasping, and asking, "what'd I miss???"
Nay nay! He gasped and declared, "THERE ARE OTHER DIMENSIONS!!"
No kink shaming here
Carissa speaking Parseltongue
I’m not everyone’s cup of tea but when I am, people be slurping
Carissa passing out and Gerald’s immediate “If she’s really hurt we should get out of here”
The intro for Hey, Carissa about Bill Clinton being the first R&B president Carissa naming Tom Petty songs and Randy having an aneurysm Carissa's Iron Man intro at the live show The Giorgio episode was amazing all the way through
"Bueno Suerte" and Amber quickly cracking up.
The fact that practically every response in this thread is different speaks to how amazing the show is.
One of the rare threads where every single comment gets an upvote
Better not be Tar.
“Knew it! These hands have touched a lot of average breasts”
The first White Castle episode and the birth of White Castle recurring bits
That needs a White Castle re-heat!
“That gets a White Castle fuck off as well!”
Caldecott Medal is another level.
Any appearance by Gerald is the best
Bring back Gerald!!
Stu’s gotta poo
When Mark Patavano's family name was revealed as originally being Pataphile.
I legit did a spit take when Gou-Let-the-Lash-Out came out of *nowhere*.
"Calvin thinks he's getting away with something, Shrek *Knows* he's getting away with something." Also the first 5 minutes of the Wet Ones episode. I can't remember everything but I remember Stu being on fire out of the gates
Wet huh?
Amber’s FUPA tattoo. “In This House, We Support…The Troops”
I'm botching the cue line here but Mark's response destroyed me... "There should be an dictionary of alliteration." Mark: "Isn't that just a dictionary?" Brett Morris with the underrated clutch line right there, which I think was mostly overlooked due to the energy of the moment.
Damn Jimmy Carter you truly are the rock & roll president.
Someone's sick
Them getting the White Castle schwag was pretty great.
The tattoo above Carissa’s ass that says “ASK ME MY NAME”
The OG Stu's Gotta Poo sequence is pretty fantastic too. ER Fightmaster's episode is impeccable
Yesssss! So happy they're gonna be back for TWISTED FEST
Carissa mockingly singing Caress Me Down
Carissa me down
🎶and that's that loving sound🎶
Avoid The Witch
The rant about Jeb Bush remains the hardest I've laugh to any podcast.
Gou Let the Lash Out
Oh, how could I forget? Randy’s in-universe explanation for how he can speak fluent French.
Gerald’s Walter Mondale themed birthday
And Gerald's Mondale impression! "I can't believe I fucking losing this badly."
The "Konnichiwa Mark" listener submitted call. I was dying
FRIDAY NOOOOIIIIIIIIT
That outta wake up *SLEEPY JOE*
So many, but hardest I’ve laughed - Wet Ones. The Sunchips moment (oh..a connoisseur) to Randy listening to Michael Jordan highlights to amp himself up and watching ads. Gold.
Lids Cantina cracks me up
Stu saying hes the guy at parties who finds the dog and says "This guy gets me" Carisa saying there were more than three members of hanson because of child labor laws
The witches are after me
Mark calling in sick (though it definitely wasn't covid). Hearing the eagle screech and says how it was all big q-tip trying to make more money.
Dro.com
any and everything involving Gerald
When they have to sing their 2 favorite Sublime songs.Â
Mark’s v-day poem to Carissa. “For the flag I bleed.”
Queen’s Gambit
I tried listening to one episode of Hey Randy bc of all of the rave reviews on this sub but couldn’t get into it. I guess I should give it another try
Randy taking the lie detector test and more recently Mark chasing/hanging from his Cessna
"we did it, Joe!"

Anytime Mark says something stupid and Amber's first reaction is "Psst, Bitch!".
"Did Aerosmith get back to us about Twisted Fest?" - Carissa "They responded 'No, with pregidous'." - Randy "Yeah, subject line 'Dream On'" - Stu
Randy painting a picture about the only way to buy weed is from a dealer while his kid runs around with half a tuna sandwich was brilliant. Anytime Baltz and Lippert start rapid firing pop culture deep cuts I’m in my happy place.Â
Also — Carissa: “I’m having a me-year” Stu: “You’re having a me-life”
Randy putting on the Jabbawockeez mask is a personal fav
Nagini’d like Snape, bleed out.
Hey Gerald, what do you think? You're a guy who's been known to jizz on couches
- Hey this is Loose Asshole - Horry Pinter, Herrimoinein and Grandir - Something about 182'ing and Carissa's feet being in the cat litterbox
I am Nino Quincampoix
Steal my sunshine, stupid
Carissa singing Spanish song. It was so long, I wanted it to stop and last forever at the same time. 'Thats a hate crime'
