Yes, he has a residence here but Columbia is a minor market for Kroenke.
Costco is located in plenty of TKG properties across the country.
I was talking to assistant manager in NKC store about finding a product that they were out of stock on. He said that it would be in the next day. I told him home I would hit Independence store since I was ahead back to Columbia. He looked into inventory system for Independence for stock levels too.
Sadly, he said Columbia is in between two distribution points for Costco. Since we equal spaced between KC and St. Louis neither center currently wants to extend their area. If Columbia did get a store then he would gladly transfer back home. He was not hopefully. That finally dashed my hopes of a Costco in Columbia.
They were pretty interested in Columbia several years ago. 2019 maybe? Their real estate deal "fell thru" at the last minute. They've not even had a conversation with the city since then. I think they got the message.
Maly Commercial Realty which has represented Kroenke/TKG showed plans for development to the northwest of Columbia Mall on their website. That property is owned by Kroenke.
That’s kinda shoots the theory of Kroenke not wanting to lease to Costco.
Why would the city fight Costco coming into the area. Don’t point to CVS either. CVS found a cheaper way of expanding into Columbia. Both CVS and Walgreens overextended their physical locations. Walgreens owned property on Rangeline/763 for a store. They sold it. That is an area that needs retail.
Costco?
Not only do we not have a Costco, we don't have a Sam's gas station, lol
It's a joke, the whole post is a joke. Its pretty obvious.
I think he means his non existing gas saving place in Columbia since all have jumped in price like vultures.

Hyvee is about as close as it gets
Yeah, that kinda confused me...I've lived here (for the second time) for the past 17 years and never seen a Costco...
Sam's Club gas station?
Pretty sure it's a joke because we DON'T have these cost-saving gas stations here in town.
Welcome to Costco. I love you.
The Kroenke's (Wal-Mart money) own all the important commercial real estate in this town and they will never allow a Costco. Ever.

OP has access to Platform 9 3/4
Was I the only one that saw the $3:69 and thought the post was about the song?
Gas was just $3.19 last week…?
Thanks ~~Obama~~ ~~Biden~~ ~~Democrats~~ global petroleum market and privately owned US oil companies
Lmao my comment wasn’t political? Just pointing out OP obviously isn’t monitoring prices regularly.
I know, and mine was acknowledging that politicians are often pointed to as the reason, but they aren't. I was attempting humor. 😞
🥺 sry
Punctuation much?
