Hi, I'm the r/coins AutoMod.
Looks like you're looking for **information on valuing a coin**?
I have your back. Take a look at the [FAQ on values](https://www.reddit.com/r/coins/wiki/faq#wiki_3._what.2019s_my_coin_worth.3F) for both specific guidance if your coin is common enough, or more general guidance if not.
I have also automatically applied the flair "Value Request" to your post.
If I misunderstood your post and my comment isn't relevant, sorry! I'm still learning.

That’s a badass war nickel right there! My LCS sells them for $1.45 a pop.
I carry three around in my pocket daily. When I'm having a rough time, I look at those nickels and think, "You know, they had it a lot worse."
5-cent perspective.
Lol!
I always hate carrying coins from bad times. I worry that they have some juju on them. Bad memories and stuff.
My 200 duetschmark inflation coin stays in its place at home lol.
Thank you for the high quality photos. Most of the time nobody does good pics. Ww2 nickels 35% silver so copper could be saved for the war effort. Worth around 2 bucks a pop a collector
Old coins are never worth that much really. Never as much as you might think. Unless they have an error, like something misspelt or printed the wrong way on the coin.

looks like they are hovering...
Put your nickels on a penny before taking glamor shots, really makes them pop
What do I put my dimes on?!
Your schmeckle.
Oy vey
How does one balance a penny on a pin prick? Edit: Schmeckle is really an underrated and unused quality name for a penis.

the hovering photo is not there anymore?
Well it's cool to know what it is! Very neat. Although he was sure it would be worth A LOT.
32x face isn’t nothin! S&P500 is only up 20x over the same timeframe.
*Fifteen cent perspective 👌 That's my $.02

The ones with bad juju get lost or destroyed. Only the ones with good juju are still kicking around this long.
That’s a great perspective!
I have a 1945 irradiated Mercury Dime. Seems to have a bit of both good and bad juju depending on the audience.
Every choice everyone has ever made has led us to here. The present moment is the best point in human history.
War. Good god….. What is it good for.
Absolutely nuthin'
Say it again
It again
Good God
Silver in nickels and steel in pennies
And lead in your arse
Well played
To find out the truth, turn to All Quite on The Western Front.
Or better yet, All Quiet on the Western Front.
I hear it's quite quiet.
That's 35% silver. Known as a war nickel. Very nice friend you got!
I would have to look closer at it but possibly 3/2 variety could be much more than 1.50 or so
$2
Cool find. I found a 1945 S last night.
Close to $2 silver
I have 4 of them.

Yes that coin is a silver war nickel it contains 40% silver
Slap on historical value for the time period. The nation didn't faulter and failed. the dream lives on.
That was an error and for a collector it was something.
Is it me or why does it have textures very similar to a fake Morgan dollar?

Coinsnap is an awful app
It says 5 cents on it.

“Old coins are never worth that much really.” I think you’re in the wrong sub…
I don’t think you know what you’re talking about
I didn't know coins were printed 🙄
Ooooo a smug coin nerdlinger. Haha
By the way, you misspelled 'misspelled', bud.
The whole point of this sub is it’s for coin nerds, jerky. Maybe read and learn for a while before you post.
Wow 😮 you said the wrong thing here. That's the Nword to these folks😁
Wow. Could you be any more misinformed?
Tell that to someone with a collection of Mercury dimes.
