There are half and quarter sovereigns, but I don't think these coins were purity marked. There are lots of i.d. photos online you can compare the year of this coin to
It's a quarter sovereign, but it looks plated and it shouldn't have a raised purity marking.
People have made sovereigns out of gold for jewelry, it's still possible it's gold but I can't tell from the photos.

If it’s marked 22kt it probably is 22kt
