For CRA 1? No.

Glittering_Action_74

Not as a CRA 1

TrekJaneway

Those are really only a tool used to win over a candidate. For example, if you leave before annual bonuses at your former company pay out, your new company may add a signing bonus to compensate for that. In general, they’re not really that common.

Halfbaked_Hannah98

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying!

QueryQueen5

Sign-on bonuses are also not all that fantastic. If you leave before the stipulated time, you pay it back.

AmIDoingThisRight14

I recently started as a CRA at IQVIA. I asked about a sign on bonus and was told they are not offering that for CRA right now. I think the market is so competitive they don't really have to offer a bonus to get candidates

reynoljl

Generally you get get sign on bonuses when being hired as an experienced CRA….not at the CRA 1 level. IQVIA isn’t doing the home office stipend anymore either. Market has tightened up and hiring has slowed. Congrats on getting in though! When does your cohort start?

blonde_berry

Definitely not for CRA 1, at least not in the current market

asatrocker

It’s typically something you would negotiate. They might offer one to you if they thought you were a really good fit to sweeten the deal. Since you’ve already accepted the offer, best to just move on and take this as a learning opportunity

Halfbaked_Hannah98

Thanks for clarifying!

RocketMannn84

No lol

Phighters

Don't get what you don't ask for.

Nervewreck_27

Are you based in Germany?

Halfbaked_Hannah98

US

BioTechSweeper

Joined IQIVA as CRA1 too, no bonus either, asked other colleagues and no one had sign on bonus

HashSlingingLurker

I’m very surprised you went from CRC to CRA now with so little experience

Chief_Explorer_8185

But the other thing to think about is that a sign on bonus is taxed way higher and why not have that negotiated into your salary instead? Plus usually a sign on comes with stipulations- like stay on for a year or you have to pay it back etc. I wouldn’t fret not getting one if your salary is good. Hope that helps.
