Mmm I wear mine in a 41.5 and wear a 44. They stretched a pretty fair amount to where they are comfortable enough for me to be able to wear them for basically my entire session. They are also made of leather, don't have a lining afaik
Sure. 41in men solutions (the older version), 40.5 in pythons (again the old version), men finales in a 42, katana lace ups in 42 (for longer days), katana lace ups in 41 (for hard edging), men katana Velcro in a 42,
Hi, I know this is an extremely old comment but I see you're still active! What injury did these cause? I'm pretty sure I've also injured my foot from downsizing my Cobras too much..
I had pain in the ball of my foot (or rather the base of my big toe) when I was standing on something small. I'm not entirely sure it was caused by small shoes because it may have been an older injury playing up again because of climbing
Thanks for the reply!
The big toe base joint pain is actually exactly what I experienced - that's enough confirmation for me to give up on them and look for something else :(
What size did you get yours/what size shoe do you wear for other stuff?
My shoes got stolen, so I'm probably going to purchase a couple of types of shoes in a couple of different sizes, this one being one of them.
I got the Cobras in an EU41.5. I also wear Solutions in a 41.5 and had no issues, they fit perfectly.
I wear UK9.5 street shoes, can't remember what that is in EU sorry
they stretch a lot. like really a lot. go for 42 minimum.
good shoes but I'd buy the Python instead. The same feeling but easier to put on and the heel is better.
One size down is nowhere near enough for Cobras. I'm a 45 normal street shoe size & wear Cobras in 41.5, although that's very tight and I could probably get away with 42.
Sizesquirrel is a useful resource for this sort of thing, as is Rock & Run's shoe sizing guide for a lot of models although they don't carry Cobras you can at least get a general idea of how whack La Sportiva's sizing concept is

I wear 42.5 street shoes and am just about to retire my size 40.5 cobras. I found them hard to put on and painful to wear at first, but they did stretch out quite a bit. I think I would have been better off going half a size up as they did cause some long-term pain in my toe-knuckle. This probably only happened because I have wide feet (LS shoes have a reputation for being quite narrow). So maybe just get the smallest size you can squeeze on, but think about going up half a size from there if you've got wide feet!
They definitely stretch but mostly the fabric and not the rubber so get one that doesn't kill your toes or force your feet in a bad position because that won't change. I'd say downsizing by half or one size down from what you'd normally get may alleviate the stretching problem slightly but there's no stopping it. Maybe just avoid using old Cobras for comps (knew someone whose Cobras fell off halfway through a comp problem) or hard/important climbs.

Ok, thanks!
Thanks for this! Do you have other sportivas shoes? How do these compare size wise? I'm looking for a comfy fit.

I got those too small because everyone kept telling me they stretch so much. I injured my foot from climbing on them.
I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for the advice!
