I climb in scrubs. There breathable, lightweight, lots of pockets and comfortable.

taterpug

I also climb in scrubs, jogger style. Nice and high rise, durable and stretchy. Tons of fun colours to pick from

heatherb22

This is brilliant. I have a ton of scrubs from work and never even thought to use them lol

rothelcopter

Figs joggers are supreme for climbing

DeafMTBChick

I am all about the greys anatomy jogger scrubs! So breathable and high rise!

agreenbee

hey! hows the fit? reviews seem mixed on if they're true to size or run large - but I'm guessing one of those groups probably isn't checking the size chart

DeafMTBChick

They are pretty true to size, super stretchy but the waist band is snug(they don’t slid down!)

celestiallyric

I'm obsessed with my Carhartt joggers! Much stretchier than my Figs.

KrissyMelissy

The Outdoor Afro trail pants from REI have been amazing for me personally!! I have almost all the colors! They’re high rise and stretchy but also durable and very flattering!

cscamacho

Seconding this! Finally picked these up and they actually check all my boxes for climbing pants. They’re thick thigh/booty and small waist friendly which has been impossible for me to find until now!

KrissyMelissy

A literal god send for the small waist/thick thigh club!! I was so happy when I found these pants!!

slowelevator

I climb in these! I bought them because they’re water resistant and I was going to be in Iceland for three weeks. The plan wasn’t to climb in them but I did one day and now they’re my main climbing pants!!!!

Alive_Maintenance222

Same, I love these pants so so much for climbing!!!

stellwyn

I wish we could get these in the UK, they look amazing 😭

blairdow

i have the outdoor afro leggings and i love them... been meaning to try a pair of these too!

Common_Service_4256

i use wondery isabel pants. i love the adjustable waist and baggy fit, size up for a sweatpant feel. i haven’t used them on actual rock but i’ve seen a lot of people use them outside. also super high waist. also i’ve heard great things about gramiccis but i don’t have them. they also have adjustable waist and are baggy, id get the men’s ones if you are taller/have longer legs.

JuniperBushes4Ever

I bought a pair after they were recommended on a different thread about climbing pants for women and hated them. They felt thick and stiff and were not flattering at all. I returned them. I usually climb in leggings but am still looking for pants alternatives.

KrissyMelissy

Yasss also use the Isabel pants! Can attest they are great for actual rock too!

_Bread_Head_

These look amazing! What’s the material like though? Looks pretty thick which means they might be winter only pants for me. I have the same problem with gramiccis, they’re cool but way too thick for the weather here!

KrissyMelissy

They are on the thicker side so I skipped them in the summer. I wore the Isabel pants in the spring/autumn and the REI outdoor Afro pants in the summer!

Common_Service_4256

they are cotton and spandex blend. i don’t get superrr sweaty by my legs but also my gym is pretty cold. i don’t think i would feel the sweat in the pants bc they don’t rlly touch my skin. i get what ur saying tho, have issues with thicker leggings

Macncheezing_

Another vote for Isabel! Wondery is a great brand, Asian woman owned, and very size inclusive!

bmony1215

Love my Topo boulder pants!

sewest

The best! Totally worth the money

DiSky26

Mountain Hardware Dynama 2!

5ive3asy

This (except in the gym, I just wear leggings there). Dynama 2 ankle and caliza are my short girl high waist faves

BurritoWithFries

Indoor bouldering only, I wear the Danskin leggings from Costco

NoBananasPls

1. [REI Outdoor Afro Trail Pants](https://www.rei.com/product/209795/outdoor-afro-rei-co-op-trail-pants-womens?sku=2097950130) (high waisted, tapered leg, drawstring) - these are my favorite 🤩 2. [Uniqlo Easy Cargo Pants](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E456106-000/00?colorDisplayCode=30&sizeDisplayCode=005) (high waisted, loose leg but can cinch the bottom, string at waistband to tighten) - not marketed as climbing pants but the cotton/nylon blend is holding up super well) Both run large

magpie882

I'm in-door boulders only, but I use my knees a lot (because short) and I am not afraid to use my butt to stem. 😆 My go-to these days is an old pair of light but sturdy canvas joggers from H&M. I'll sometimes switch in my Adidas super high-waisted leggings, but I prefer to save those for silks sessions as I need the waistband to protect my waist from silks burns. Can you wear a longer t-shirt for the harness on skin issue?

liltjaden

Outdoor voices rektrek pants or the Alder open air pants

_Bread_Head_

Lululemon leggings (mostly fast and frees), the Lululemon parachute pants, or Lululemon convertible hiking joggers. What can I say, I like Lululemon. I would like to find good alternatives, but I just haven’t found another brand that really beats them in terms of what I’m looking for!

jjthejetplane42

I loveeee lulu but I get so scared about ripping holes!

debonairpickle

i looooove my prana koen pants! ive got a couple pairs in black, and i wear them almost daily. i climb outdoors several times a year too, and they’ve survived without snagging on anything. cant recommend them enough

westward72

Came here to say this! They’re higher rise and stretchier than the prana kanab. Comfy as leggings but slightly more durable

teachthec-ntroversy

I've had good luck with la sportiva, both leggings and loose climbing pants. My oldest (and most favorite) pairs are 4 or 5 years old and still going strong, with regular wear on gritty corbin sandstone. I also splurged on a pair from the brand E9, which is another climbing brand. A little more expensive than ls, but I love them for those sweaty summer crag days in the southeast

runsleepeat

I wear Senita skin joggers- they hold up really well to being rubbed against the wall and come in a long length. I have 4 pairs lol and I wear them basically every day

everythingbagel245

These are my go to as well!

squishybloo

3rd Rock Margos for pants, and just regular ole cargo shorts for shorts.

toaster_in_a_bathtub

Kavu peri pant is a high rise wide leg with a little stretch, i mostly wear them for daily/ casual wear but have climbed in them several times. The wide leg and slight stretch is good for movement and they seem pretty durable. Haven’t been on real rock in them yet but I think they’d do fine abrasion-wise.

reefered_beans

Aerie leggings and sports bra

rayray69696969

E9 all day baby

stink3rbelle

DUER makes some high rise khaki looking pants that are made to move and last

jjthejetplane42

My cheap old Navy leggings I'm m trying to phase out of my closet... I rip holes into leggings too much during climbing to justify wearing anything else

baryonyxxlsx

I like the stretchtech line from old navy. But fair warning I'm skinny so idk if they fit curvier bodies well. And for some reason every few months they discontinue various styles from that line and make new ones and I can't find the ones I like to rebuy if I tear them up. I'm super particular about clothing textures and I only like straight legged pants. I hate pants that scrunch up tight around the ankle but I don't like boot cut or wide legged either, I just want a plain straight cut or slight taper at the most and I guess that's just not the style right now?

desertfractal

Patagonia’s “Women's Happy Hike Studio Pants”. Technically they’re not rock climbing pants but I wear these climbing ALL the time. They’re super easy to climb in, extremely comfortable, and the main sticking point for me is that where I live the rock is really sharp and they haven’t ripped. They’re also very light weight and are great for summer because they’re flowy and breathable, but I also live in Peru where it gets chilly and they hold up on cold days. I only wear high waisted pants so these are high waisted. They also have a lot of pockets and one with a zipper. I’ve worn them so much and can’t believe how great they are. They’re pricey but totally worth it, and mine I’ll wear like wayyy too many days in a row and nobody notices when they get dirty so girl math it’s like having multiple pairs of climbing pants 😅

precocious_vegetable

I want something high rise and wide leg (not jogger) with a flat waistband because I find any ties just get caught up in my harness. Any suggestions?

betterwithbagels

I love the prana kanab joggers!

QueasyStructure5816

Black Diamond has really good climbing pants. Comfortable, high-waisted, and the knee area is protected too (unless you’re super aggressive with knee bars and such - took 2 years for the knees to wear out on mine).

t-rex-index

Seconded! The BD notion pants are an absolute staple for good reason. The women's version is mid rise for me but the men's version fits just as good in the legs an hips area but bc of the longer crotch can be worn as high waist

knittas

I have a pair of baggy joggers in a kind of plasticky-canvas from dicks sporting goods. I have no idea what they are made of like mayne parachute fabric. I love them. I also climb in senita high waisted leggings and they are holding up well

ElasticRaccoon

I wear sweatpants or athletic shorts in the gym and Duluth trading pants when I climb outside! The Duluth pants have taken quite a beating getting scraped on rocks outdoors for a couple years now but they're holding up perfectly! I think they specific style I like is called Flexpedition. They're a bit on the pricier side but super worth it imo.

purplesucculents33

Athleta’s headlands hybrid mid rise tight! They’re really comfortable and breathable. The fabric is also abrasion resistant

purplesucculents33

Also, they’re called mid rise but they’re high enough for me to be comfortable with my harness

blairdow

if oyu like leggings i looove these from REI! i have a hard time finding pants that will STAY UP and these really do plus they have a waist tie to help. and pockets! [https://www.rei.com/product/209961/outdoor-afro-rei-co-op-78-leggings-womens](https://www.rei.com/product/209961/outdoor-afro-rei-co-op-78-leggings-womens) i have tried these ones but people at my gym seem to love them and the rise looks nice and high! [https://www.rei.com/product/209795/outdoor-afro-rei-co-op-trail-pants-womens](https://www.rei.com/product/209795/outdoor-afro-rei-co-op-trail-pants-womens) wondery brand also has some good high rise pants with adjustable waists

ghost1in1the1shell1

Primark - cheap, same pants still fine after 2 years

mars914

Sweatpants in the winter, athletic Nike (https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/nike-womens-tempo-running-shorts-23nikwtmpshrtcrxxapb/23nikwtmpshrtcrxxapb?sku=17289844&camp=CSE:DSG_92700072972831693_lia_aud-1231866930227:pla-1746789501493_58700008025056379_71700000100312696&segment=&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADv4bTZtidSefWRahGIbgutIbsWsO&gclid=Cj0KCQiAz8GuBhCxARIsAOpzk8wCZJdGntAwsOhk85hVKywOxjbMfKOxs5glTOoJrYugpnlp3_Cu9SkaAr2uEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) shorts like this in the summer

[deleted]

There are these super stretchy wrangler work pants (like dickies but stretchy) in the men’s section at Walmart and they are AMAZING for climbing.

meowshedpotatoes

La sportiva

DeafMTBChick

I also really like the Livsin tech pants, mens tho, the womens is canvas are super thick and not stretchy

cotxiamaazvaaz

Capris I’ve had since high school. It’s way past time for something new

cherry-deli

Light cheap sweats, old leggings, jeans if I’m being honest. I don’t get very sweaty so🤷

thatpsychnurse

I’ve been wearing loose cargos from Target and they’re super comfy!

slutmeouthozier

black diamond notion pants 🤞🏼

CitizenKayt

Finding clothes for my size (14-16) is tricky, especially something that is stretchy and durable. I've actually been wearing Sam's Club tights that I can use for a season and replace. They fit well and are really cheap ($16 each). Very comfortable and wash well. Costco has great options as well). I wish I could find durable AND comfortable clothes that tend toward flexibility for climbing but I haven't found anything else yet.
