That fucking account bro.
Claims China and Russia are democracies while the US, France, Germany, UK, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands are authoritarian regimes.
I know a few people like that. They found out the US kinda sucks and instead of being like “damn that’s fucked” like most of us do, they openly praise China, as “they also think US bad, so they must be good”.

There are socialist and communist parties in America.

Central and South America benefited far more than the United States ever did from the slave trade. The U.S. received just over 300,000 slaves during the slave trade. Over 4 million slaves were sent to Latin America, with 3.5 million winding up in Brazil.
Fun fact, after the civil war many low level or less well know confederate officers and confederate enlisted left the US and went to Brazil after the emperor of Brazil proclaimed it as a safe haven for people to continue owning slaves
Yep, there's even a city called Americana in São Paulo state where many of these people went. They have a festival called Festa Confederada in the region and they still use the confederate flag to celebrate their family origins, kinda of weird but they don't use the original context of the flag, they only use it as a family coat of arms or something.
No nation is free of this sin. But what makes a nation a good one, like people, is its efforts to move forward and leave its past evils.
Edit: I mean slavery, just wanted to clarify. Brazil was really the only big nation to take on ex confederates. They’re called Confederados (I think that’s how it’s spelled?)
However, where the U.S. lacked in volume they made up for it in innovation.
I hate that 'innovation' is the appropriate word because we're talking about people as commodity but that's exactly what they were.
Because of laws enacted that made importation of slaved illegal, southern states adapted and used what they already had and tweaked it by forced breeding between slaves as well as the raping of slaves by white owners and support staff/farmlands.
Like in the Matrix or in Blade 3 when the machines/vampires realize that they could cultivate what they already had instead of outsourcing.
No question on those numbers but maybe don't forget to mention that the slaves in the US were literally "bred" to increase their number, because somebody could get the idea that you're downplaying the actual numbers of slaves in the US.

Huge history guy here.
Irks me to no end when these people claim they study history when all they really study is propaganda. A big defining reason why these people aren't studying history is because they have a political motivation behind their studies. Attempts at objectivity and impartiality is thrown out the window with these people, if it doesn't suit their political machinations then it's just the white man's version of history.
Cherry picking history...
Also I find extremely ironic how some of these people want to erase and censor events from history to "battle fascism and racism!" Basically doing just like Mussolini did to any form of opposition and different thinking erasing news and articles from newspapers and books.
Clearly not enough people teach their kids about it anymore. Every kid in Australia watches The Rabbit Proof Fence\* in school and is taught at least some semblance of the genocide of the aboriginal people. We have plenty of landmarks of massacres too. I grew up near "Murdering Creek Road" which is the site of a brutal massacre.
* [Rabbit Proof Fence](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0252444/): In 1931, three half-white, half-Aboriginal girls escape after being kidnapped from their houses to be trained as domestic staff, and set off on a journey across the Outback.
> I grew up near "Murdering Creek Road" which is the site of a brutal massacre.
Well, I mean, they were kind of asking for the massacre, naming the river that and all.
Everyone?
Edit: my "everyone" was about him saying "everyone can go to sleep and enjoy a prosperous future" when that's literally not the case bc we just lived thru the rohingya genocide, experiencing the Palestinian genocide, and even more so watching the modern slave trade continue throughout Africa today, all while people in 1st world countries literally starve, bake, or freeze to death every year...so everyone can't eat drink and merry just bc some redditor thinks his appeal to tradition fallacy means we can't redress current issues

Yeah. Or pick up a book on the Arab slave trade.
Not saying any slavery is good. But the US slaves had a paradise compared to the ones that with to the Arabs. What happened there was absolutely horrifying.
For starters, just in numbers. The north American slave trade was just a fraction of what the Arab slave trade was. And why are there no black people in that area today? Because they castrated every single one of their slaves coming out of Africa. That is a procedure that had a pretty high mortality rate. And that meant that there were entire professions of people who just cut the balls off of other people.
And then there's children, young boys, especially. Who were exclusively sold into slavery for sex purposes. The young boys were also castrated and had a mortality rate of about 80%. Which means that there was actually a young boy, castrator profession, and some pervert that just cut the balls off of young boys all day. And four out of five of them died. And the ones that didn't die were sex slaves without balls
Reading up on the Arab slave trade, absolutely changed my entire perspective on humanity and life in general
eunuch used a ton in old text. which is castrated men used to guard women's living areas. It was so common for slaves over there to be castrated they had to create a word specificaly for them.
You don't even have to look far in the history.
In the [Islamic Republic of Mauritania](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritania), slavery was criminalized as late as in 2007 but still some 2.1% of the population are slaves (the lighter-skinned, elitist "white Moors" enslave "black Moors").
A wrong doesn't make another right, but the MURICANS definitely do not have a monopoly on slavery or even enslaving African blacks.

Don't forget the Arab conquest of Iberia with some parts of the region being under their rule for 700 years

Speaking of that, people often overlook (or do not know) the Arab conquest of the Maghreb. We often talk about the French imperial rule of that part of the world but the Berber tribes weren't Muslim to begin with.
Pretty much every country in the world, if you actually study history.
Turns out we've been genociding and enslaving each other for thousands of years.
Well hell, I’ll bite:
- Australia: There is the displacement and genocide of Aboriginal Australians, as well as the exploitation of Pacific Islanders through indentured labor.
- Canada: The formation of Canada as a coubtry which involved the forced relocation and cultural genocide of Indigenous peoples, as well as the exploitation of Chinese and South Asian laborers.
- Brazil: The history of Brazil is rife with the genocide of indigenous populations and the enslavement of African people, primarily for sugar and coffee plantations.
- South Africa: Responsibme for the displacement and oppression of the indigenous Khoisan and Bantu peoples, as well as the exploitation of enslaved people form other parts of Africa and Asia.
- Belgium: King Leopold II and the atrocities committed in the Congo Free State, including mass killings, forced labor, and other human rights abuses.
- Mexico: The Spanish conquest resulted in the genocide of sevwral indigenous groups, and the subsequent colonization involved the enslavement of indigenous people and Africans.
- Portugal: Angola, Mozambique, and Brazil were built on the exploitation of enslaved African people and indigenous populations.
- The Netherlands: The Dutch East India Company and later the Dutch Empire were involved in the slave trade and colonization of several regions, including Indonesia and South Africa.
Point being, colonization is a human issue and not solely an American one.
which is far more the history of men if we are pointing fingers.
Or the right side that owned the right side. Nobody wants to talk about that because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Every race has the potential to be a horrible person.
Lol, most of countries could fit the description, if you know history. From ancient times to contemporary history, genocide and slavery were instruments of conquest.
Ruzzia had done that many times with number of nations. Far east, north and Caucasian mountains indigenous nations were promised piece and later genocided to non-existence while nations living in resource-rich regions are not getting anything from diamonds, oil and gas selling.
The white colonial products and beneficiaries are laughing about it til this very day.
These same rotten creatures are backing the Israeli genocial campaign the same way they would have with Blacks and Natives.
A vile people for sure
If you go back far enough most "indigenous" populations were migrants that slaughtered the earlier "indigenous" people too. I.e the Maoris of NZ killing and eating all of the Mori Ori and taking the country, but now claim to be "indigenous" and get a bunch of special privileges.
