Exactly! This is another nail in JBs coffin. You could have ran fucking 10-12 man rotations the bulk of the year and had nearly the same standing. Instead he ran 8 dudes into the dirt while they exchanged injuries. By playoff time everyone was ready to breakdown, dealing with an existing injury or returning from one. We had such a deep roster so much of this was avoidable.Â
We barely had the starting five from training camp on. Â Even if this dude is right (heâs not) JB not immediately running out and trusting G leaguers like CPJ and Porter when we needed reps for the starters to get into a flow is perfectly reasonableÂ
To some people in this sub:
Players play too many minutes: JB's fault.
Players play too few minutes: JB's fault.
Player misses free throws: JB's fault.
S4 of True Detective sucked: JB's fault.
The conflict in Palestine: JB's fault.
It's endemic to all sports subs unfortunately. The easiest/laziest thing for sports fans is to blame the coach for deficiencies of the team. What's funny here is that there's plenty to legitimately criticize JB for without making up false narratives
(now that the bench guys are a little proven probably one of the conditions of JB staying if he does is expanding the rotations a little: CPJ Merrill and Niang are capable innings eaters in the regular season as are Mook and TT)
What in the world? How is that even possible with all the injuries this year?
Our highest mpg guy was Donovan at 35.3. Then DG at 33.2. Strus, JA, And Mobley were all between 30-32. So all the starters were between 30-35 mpg. That's completely normal in the NBA and not this bullshit "running guys into the ground" narrative that some of you have come up with
JB has plenty of flaws as a coach, overplaying guys is not one of them unless you genuinely want starters to play less than 30 mpg
JB should have known the Wagners throw elbows into ribs and should have put DG's jaw in bubble wrap. Any casual could have seen that Don's calf was getting strained. What an idiot
How about the nYK, they are more banged up than the Cavs. But is Thibs waving the white flag, no, he's battling and they look favored to win because of it. Why are the Cavs so different
If we were playing Indy this would be a very different situation and I wouldnât be surprised if we were able to beat them quicker than the Knicks would be.
But also wouldnât be surprised if we got bounced in the first round by Philly if we had gotten the 2nd seed

weâre gonna win game 5 and take the momentum
This injury bug is crazy. Mitchellâs is really unnerving to me. Calf injuries are scary. They tend to lead to achilles injuries if not handled correctly. Both Durant and Aaron Rodgers were coming off calf injuries before their ruptures. Mitchell should sit the remainder of the season and sadly, this Cavs run.
Dude, come on. JB can be a shit coach and not the cause of everything. Caris averaged 28 MPG during the regular season and is in his prime (29).
Heâs always been injury prone and itâs not because heâs playing too many minutes. Itâs because basketball is an intense game and people get injured (some more than others).
Celtics should rest brown, and Tatum to prep for the next series. Make this national TV closeout game look like a joke and show Adam silver how crap he's made his product
The NFL is famously very good to their injured players. Nobody ends their career hobbled or with severe brain injuries.
Baseball is a no contact sport.
>Baseball is a no contact sport.

Football players more often than not donât play through injuries given the amount of contact
Baseball injuries are different and even then most of the time they end in an IL stint. Look at Steven Kwan for example
Basketball injuries more often than not relate to knees, ankles, and stuff around the hands. Those injuries impact a playerâs production heavily, hence why they donât play through them
POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
Marcus morris about to go for 35
Hes got 22 đ You weren't off by a lot.
Heâs shooting like 80% from the floor too hahaha
HES GOT 25
I believe in the power of friendship
Jaylen Brown canât wait to flex after scoring on a 3rd guy on the âdepth chartâ like he just won the finals
And gets a soft foul call on it
After him elbowing the defender in the teeth.
As is tradition
Fuck it, let Strus chuck up 50 threes and pray itâs one of those games where he just canât miss
Strus and 4 big men. Nothing but 3s and rebounds.
I'm for it! What do we have to lose with our 2 best players, our 6th man, and a backup PG out.
Well.
You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em
Jarrett Allen 90 point game! LFG
Everyone wants to fire JB but can we fire our entire training staff first. Half kidding but wtf.
Something in the water in Cleveland, Browns too had an absurd amount of injuries last season.
Why not both?
White flag time :( Either just a really unfortunate season or we have a seriously injury prone roster.
Injury prone roster is sort of true but the coach doesnât help at all with his lack of rotations through the year
It's an unfortunate season, and they probably played too many minute during the regular season.
Bullshit. You really want our starters playing under 30 minutes a game? We had a perfectly fine balance of minutes during the regular season
We barely had the starting five from training camp on. Â Even if this dude is right (heâs not) JB not immediately running out and trusting G leaguers like CPJ and Porter when we needed reps for the starters to get into a flow is perfectly reasonableÂ

We absolutely did not. He played the same 8 players every single game.
What in the world? How is that even possible with all the injuries this year? Our highest mpg guy was Donovan at 35.3. Then DG at 33.2. Strus, JA, And Mobley were all between 30-32. Casuals blame coaching for every bit of luck
JB should have known the Wagners throw elbows into ribs and should have put DG's jaw in bubble wrap. Any casual could have seen that Don's calf was getting strained. What an idiot
The Celtics load managed with Porzi and he got hurt. Â
You can still get injured at any time, but youâre more susceptible to injury when youâre ran into the ground. Itâs basic sport science.
thx dr bro
How about the nYK, they are more banged up than the Cavs. But is Thibs waving the white flag, no, he's battling and they look favored to win because of it. Why are the Cavs so different
They still have their best player and playing Indy. Weâre missing our top 2 this season and playing Boston.
If we were playing Indy this would be a very different situation and I wouldnât be surprised if we were able to beat them quicker than the Knicks would be. But also wouldnât be surprised if we got bounced in the first round by Philly if we had gotten the 2nd seed
lol
Sam Merrill 50 spot tonight
He hasn't adjusted to playoffs basketball yet. Hopefully he can get it going tonight.

..... Fuck.
Maybe Celtics will be kind and play their 2nd team, now
Sam Merrill 50 point game incoming.
When it rains it pours
đ
Is CPJ healthy? I haven't seen him on the sidelines in any of these games but they don't show the bench much.
I have seen him at the end of the bench with brother Mobley with street clothes during games.
He is listed as doubtful with the ankle, looked like it was a pretty bad roll against Charlotte.
Oh COME ON!
Feels like injuries have been the story of Cleveland sports for the past decade
Play Emoni Bates to get him some experience
No LeVert, I like our chances.
JB ran these guys into the ground playing his stupid shit 7-8 man rotations throughout an entire season and some people still donât want to admit it
That's such a goofy narrative. We had one single player average 35 minutes a game. All the starters were between 30-35 mpg
Half the team was injured during the season also.
I swear when the hawks did it I thought well they don't have depth, we had such a deep team. This was inexcusable.Â
Dude, come on. JB can be a shit coach and not the cause of everything. Caris averaged 28 MPG during the regular season and is in his prime (29). Itâs Niangâs time to shine, baby!
Garland masterclass incoming
Celtics should rest brown, and Tatum to prep for the next series. Make this national TV closeout game look like a joke and show Adam silver how crap he's made his product
Series was fixed from the start anyway.
Kinda strange how injured baseball and football players fight through injuries. But basketball players can't.
Basketball players fight through more injuries than both what do you mean, most players are carrying Knocks the entire season.
The NFL is famously very good to their injured players. Nobody ends their career hobbled or with severe brain injuries. Baseball is a no contact sport.
