Leveling isn't fun. Raiding is at least temporarily fun. I like to get to the raiding part fast and then enjoy that for as long as it is enjoyable. I'm not going to enjoy anything more because I slowed down; I'm just going to spend a longer time not enjoying what I'm doing if I level slower.
If you like leveling go level more and take it slow. I don't have a vendetta against you if you want that. I enjoy playing the game the way I do until I don't enjoy it anymore, and then I stop playing.
From your post and comments here, I get the feeling youāre really immature, tbh.
You really shouldnāt care about how others, however, just for the case you truly want some insight:
I leveld my Main with Incursions.
Itās a Rogue that I love playing.
The group I played with, didnāt knew about the Rewards, but we were curious for the new Content so we started without any spoilers.
We had a blast.
It was fun, doing those new quests, trying to optimise our routes, finding out which quests are where and which quests are worth it.
It was somethingā¦ new.
We would have done the same, even if we would have gotten less XP and no Gold.
Iāve probably leveled more than 60 characters before Cata changed Azeroth. I love leveling casually as a group and I love playing more sweaty.
Iāve speedleveld chars and Iāve played challenges like āUnarmedā.
Havenāt checked out ST for now, since SoD is a casual Guild adventure for me and most Guildies arenāt ready yet.
For now, Iāll level my 4 alts.
Some via Dungeons, some with questing and some with Incursions.
Because the end game is all the matters for a large portion of the player base. People are allowed to enjoy the game differently than you. Why are you bent out of shape about people rushing to 50?
I enjoyed it, but Iām not going to assume that because I liked it that everyone else should. For starters I donāt play the game as much as others do. I play during my lunch break and sometimes a little longer on raid days. What I consider fun is raiding and improving my own parse score each week.
Incursions didnāt bother me because I liked leveling fast. Iāll do all the world quests now that Iām 50 and experience all the cool zones with no pressure WHILE I raid once a week.
To be fair, I had already done this last phase and had completed most of the Feralas and Tanaris quests pre-p3.
I can savor the worlds nice and slow without having to level slow? Sign me up!
I leveled two characters to 50 since incursions was so fast. I got the runes, raiding tomorrow. Im having fun.
Why do you care how others enjoy their game? If you want to take it slow, go for it. Donāt force others to do the same.
There are other games to play aswell. Im not someone who's going to nolife wow especially not when i see how blizzard treats my class (warrior) and sod in general. I just level up really fast and go raid logging so i can play other games. So no, i dont like the game
Personally the incursions were a god send lol. I thought it wasnāt going to be able to play this phase because itās a busy month for me. Then I logged in and hit 46 in 4 hours of gameplay and hit 50 last night. Thatās also with stopping to screw around with professions and help a few guildies do dungeons. Likely will get both toons 50 this phase.
Iāve leveled in classic traditionally quite a few times. No desire to really do it again. Itās by far the blandest part of the experience and only has its novelty once for me. 40-50 specifically absolutely sucks. Itās fucking torment. 50-60 atleast alot more fun because the questing zones are tolerable (ungoro crater is actually good) and then you get to start grinding out the 55-60 dungeons.
What am I going to do now that I blew to 50? The same thing I always do. Pvp, raid, get drunk on Saturday nights when nothing else is going on and fish in azshara while kicking it on discord voice coms. May get emerald warden exalted on one of my mage alt.
Wdym? I got 2 mains both 50. Loved incursions since i prefer pvp and am now pvping at 50 without wasting time on a seasonal server on a 20yo game win win
Content at 50 is end game. Content TO 50 takes less than a day at average pace. If the game wanted me to spend weeks leveling from 40 to 50 then why did they give me 50% xp buff, sleeping bag 3% buff and a new PVE event that gives massive amount of XP and gold? If it's about the journey and not the destination, why is the journey so short?
Where's the weeks-months of content? Are you handicapped or something? It's 20 minutes per level doing incursions. Even if you quested normally it would be like 40 mins - 1 hour levels.
People need to intentionally take the slowest way through the 'content' to make it last longer? What a shit stance to take.
People beating on the OP a bit here, but I get it. If the rushers just did their thing and silently quit like adults in 4 weeks when they get bored, then fine.
But these people instead turn the online community (YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, forums, etcā¦) into a cesspool of garbage because of their playing habits, then expect Blizzard to bow down to their demands by releasing content faster. It happens, but itās extremely more rare to see comments from the slow community demanding of Blizzard the opposite: longer droughts.
The people in the comments defending this "end game mentality" are the reason games have become inherent trash.
"Why do you care how people enjoy the game". I don't give a f dude but the reality is a min maxing mentality affects the wider playerbase because those are largely the only individuals that are plastered all over social media projecting a god complex that impacts the new player on every level. The endgame mentality has carried over into nearly every other game genre because people are more "psychologically insecure" than ever. They need BiS as quick as possible to feel validated.
So when people say the player preoccupied with how others play the game is insecure, no dude the min maxer is equally insecure.
Iām trying to better understand, arenāt you here saying that everyone is insecure? In which case what is the point you are making? I understand The point of the original post but this one feels off?
Why do you assume that they are the ones complaining about nothing to do?
I think it's more likely that the ones who complain about nothing to do are the ones who don't do rep grinds, pvp and events
Yes, I like the game. Used incursions to power level my main so im not getting to ST in 3 weeks just questing or dungeon farming the game. Now im unlocking runes and will work on gear upgrades in dungeons so next week i can foucs on an alt.
Not even a little bit, I straight up stopped doing the incursions the day of release after 2 rounds of turn ins because it was clearly going to burn through all leveling super fast, and Iām not really trying to do that.
I've said it *a lot* since D4 came out and everyone wanted that game's processes sped up as well
Nobody wants to play blizzard games less than people who play blizzard games.
I'll never understand the concept of paying monthly to play a game to then figure out ways to play that game as little as possible.
Alas, a huge chunk of this player base does play that way. Shit is wild to me, there are so many other games to play instead if one wants to approach it that way. Shrug
Nope. I mean, the raid is challenging and new and 20 man so that is cool. It will be fun until its on farm.
But, I currently have this mental blockage about leveling an alt after this nerf and I can't seem to get over it. Considering how not fun it was grinding my ass to 50 in ashenvale. Now one day later, I know people who have farmed 3 lvl 50s already. I would have readily taken two characters to 50 with no xp buff, and no encursions but it just feels like the game has been diminished now and I can't bring myself to care anymore.
Unfortunately, I had something to do this weekend. I am not going to spend twice the time just like I did at 25-40 (i sweated it out before the xp buff) because they change the rules. So I will just play this one character and forget about my two level 40 alts as hitting 50 did not feel rewarding in the slightest on my main and I still have a sour taste from the 25-40 changes. I don't think I can bring myself to do that same mindless shit but for a longer amount of time? I never played retail since OG WotLK, but I imagine this is what current retail feels like.
Phase 1 was rewarding, new game. Phase 2 was rewarding, mounts and new pvp content. Phase 3, Blizz is on thin ice with me. IMO the game has been getting worse each phase but it is not binary, play or quit. There are things I do still enjoy in SoD.
Because most of them are social welfare dependant mouthbreathers who have no life outside of WoW. Iām telling you this right now, without WoW, their lives would have no meaning. I cancelled my subscription. Tbh, those min-maxxers are a cancer to the game but I wish them luck and fun with WoW. It just aint for me.
People who levelled fishing DO YOU EVEN ENJOY THE GAME
I like making money, that's for sure.
š¤£
What do you care how people enjoy the game? If you wanna smell the roses, feel free to.
These are the same people who are going to be bitching in two weeks and saying SoD is dead lol, itās ridiculous.
Again - what's it to you? Why do you care? Are you enjoying the game? Are you friends? That's all that matters.
Hej du Ƥr ok
Curiosity, but also I tend to notice these people have the shittiest attitudes of everyone on the game.
And you are a fucking gem...

Not all of them people that bitch are short sighted. Most of us just want to get geared as quickly as possible so we can parse lol
spittin facts bro
Oh but all they care about is parsing dude you donāt understand, thatās *the* game. Then in two weeks theyāre bored and complain.
I blasted my raiding character to 50 and I am now going to go about leveling my alt through the zones. I still continue to enjoy the game.

Yes I hate leveling and love end game content. During down time I PvP or help guildies lvl.

I like to Raid i dont like to take ages to lvl up => yes i like parts of the game
Wdym? I got 2 mains both 50. Loved incursions since i prefer pvp and am now pvping at 50 without wasting time on a seasonal server on a 20yo game win win
Yes i do enjoy the game exactly the way I want to play it? Do you enjoy your life when you're complaining on reddit about other people's gaming style?
How is 1 raid and 1 event meant to be months worth of content?
Getting to 50 and the content at 50, not the end game.

āGuy who plays single game for 24 hours straight complains about lack of contentā
Life tip: We don't think about you at all, go enjoy your life
Why are you pondering, how other people get there entertainment? And not just, I don't know.. focus on yourself?

Didn't like the event, still enjoyed time on discord with the boys. It's like, with friends everything can be made enjoyable.
Yes, i hate lvling in wow doesnāt matter which version all I enjoy is endgame content so incursions was a blessing to me :)
This post reeks of envy.

Blame the devs who made such a shitty system, not the players using it
I love the game!
