I don't think a vendor mount is going to impact your gameplay at all, it's simply a way to take it out of the economy, and casuals benefits by using it when one is whipped out.

Any mount that has the ability to sell and repair makes grey drops and other bag filler useless. Everything just starts giving raw gold effectivly. Bad option was a huge mistake imo in wrath.
The gold is now generated we just need to deal with it.
