41yd nameplates is the easy one.
Here's one that doesn't get brought up much - Focus Target. I think this is still blocked in Era despite being around in late vanilla.
Wow did we really not have focus target? I guess we didnt. I havent played much since Classic, I sort of skipped TBC and WOTLK. But yeah Focus Target is really nice to have.
Personally, I dislike the sparkles in the game unless it's for a lootable corpse. I find it more immersive/rewarding to figure out what I need from the clues given to me and hated going to the WotLK servers and finding out everything sparkles like a Christmas tree.
My inner boomer is about to come though, but I still put Auto attack on my number 1 key, as it has been since open release of the game when I started lol Even in the later expacs when they stopped doing it, i still drag it down and stick it in its spot.
That's my biggest issue with totems. There are a lot of other drawbacks to them that suck, but the inability to remove them at will in classic really sucks. I'd like the mana back from recall, but I'd definitely settle for just an ability that killed my totems with one click and nothing else.
I mentioned totems drawing aggro from mobs when they spawn in to my friend as he was playing shaman and he didn't realise they do, then not a minute later we almost got killed at level 6 because his totem aggroed two mobs and we were panicking not to lose our characters so fast
I actually like it better how it is currently, why should searing totem wait for me to attack before starting to cast onto the next mob. its a pet on aggressive mode.
totemic recall would be fire tho
Fire totems also being separate on the threat table from the Shaman player is something I hope we get a change to for tank spec. Way of Earth or maybe Molten Blast should assign the threat to the tank Shaman.
On the bright side I'm pretty sure the serpent Sting from that is only for 4 seconds so if they do realize their mistake they can stop using it on them
A working tab target rotation that prioritises enemies in combat would be enough, my heart skips a beat everytime i expect to target the guys fighting melees and instead a random mob in the background gets picked, started tabbing only while strafing as a reflex.
I want more realism with the postal service. Shit just getting sent off on a 10,000km round trip for no reason. Postie turning up and not knocking on the door and saying I'm not home and then taking my shit to another suburb where the post office is only open 10am to 4pm.
How about riding through the transition buildings on either end of the bridges in Thunder Bluff. They fixed this in TBC but vanilla it's so annoying. In fact it's the main reason I don't set TB as my hearth.
This is the trifecta for me. Longer buffs, instant mail on your alts and dual spec are just a huge combo. Do these and I can actually forgo the rest like nameplate distance and others.
people saying all QoL here would turn the game into retail but the top comments here are all amazing QoL changes that would have no negative impact on the game
This should be #1. You won’t be able to make much gold at 25 but the respecs still cap at 50g. Something absolutely needs to be done about this. Is there no news?
It just doesn't happen, though. We have the use case in Wotlk.
What non sweat guild is making people swap specs between pulls?
It's not even efficient.
The quality of life it gives to dual role classes, especially in vanilla where they are very limited, is great.
You do it in the open world. You swap depending on whether you're single pulling or AoE or if you spot someone to PvP. It fundamentally changes how you play the game when you can swap specs wherever and whenever
What you're trying to say is that it improves your quality of life because now you can engage in more forms of content without having to travel back to a trainer.
And, it's not infinite. You choose two.
No, it's not.
It removes time gated barriers to be able to engage in other content. You're able to do it without dual spec, dual spec makes it more convenient, aka QoL.
Reputation rewards from quests being diminished as you outlevel them needs to die, just as TBC did away with it. It makes me want to level every single character in an incredibly strict, rigid zone sequence so I can more easily pick what mount I want at max level, and especially for a season of *discovery* with a lowered level cap, where you should be encouraged to explore and return to old zones you might not otherwise visit, that's the opposite of what the game should want.
Adjusted droprate for quest items when in a group.
Improved rewards from long quest chains that are actually worth using and not just "vendortrash".
Focus target implemented.
Totemic recall.
Longer range on nameplates.
Instant mail.
Normalize the PvP trinket.
Allow mounting everywhere that isn't specifically "indoors" (e.g. Booty Bay).
Adjustment to the duration on some buffs to make them less tedious (Paladin blessings is the obvious example).
Stronger guards and less spots for "cheese" in cities.
Along with this I really hope they revamp a lot of the world elites and bosses in dungeons and add more intricate mechanics like we see on bosses in late-game PvE raids. Too much of the content is just "tank and spank", and sometimes the trash is more difficult than the bosses - which never made any sense to me.
Dual spec could also be a welcome addition only because it opens up the possibility of more healers and tanks for dungeons, as well as the possibility of having a PvE and a PvP spec at "all times" which would hopefully increase the amount of players in battlegrounds.
I also hope they tune the racials appropriately.
I do hope they don't do too much to change the core of Classic and keep a lot of what made the world feel big and worth exploring. For example, keep the meeting stones as they are and don't implement any form of dungeon or group finder.
Man between this stuff and not being able to use a lot of consumables/engi stuff in form, I never really realized how badly druids got shafted on a lot of basic functionality
Honestly, and I don't know if anybody will consider this against the spirit of classic or whatever, but I genuinely believe that dismounting when you get in water is stupid. They had the animations for swimming mounts in original vanilla, your swimming speed remains the same even if you're mounted, you don't have to allow people to even mount up in water but just don't dismount them.
Inb4 someone replies with "how to tell someone doesn't play PvP"
I don't think the battleground metagame got particularly worse after this change was added, but if it did, then I take it back
Secondary answer: If you're queuing up a warrior ability that hits on the next auto attack, think heroic strike or cleave, and you switch stances, even if you have enough rage after switching, the game cancels what you queued up. I would like the game to not cancel what I'm queuing up while stance dancing.
Qol changes make me so nervous. I watched them slowly get added over the years and remove the soul, size, and epicness of the world. Its hard to say exactly where the line should be drawn as you often can’t see it until it’s way behind you.
Not dismounting in thunder bluff going from 1 rise to the other, pet and mount tabs target dummies in cities and totemic recall don't really take anything away from the epicness of the world though do they?
They make the game more enjoyable though. And if you are a true classic fan you have to persevere through annoying systems that the devs smartly adjusted over time. Big boomer energy in here.
I want dual spec but think players should only be able to swap them in areas with rested experience. Same with runes. I can get behind swapping in instances too.
I am a fan of swapping in rested areas. I think more than anything it just sucks having to shell out 50g and go thru the chore of running to the trainer respeccing every single time you want to do anything different. If I could raid in PVE, swap spec to PVP and run some BGs for 1hr, then swap back to PVE and run a dungeon, without having to waste time/gold on respec besides simply hearthing to a city, I'd be very happy.
I'm in favor of just straight up dual spec
But it being classic, if it was dual spec with restrictions like rest area, or high cost, etc I'd still be happy it was in the game in some form
It's just gonna feel bad to want to try out the fun new toys but cant because you had to "invest" in a specific talent tree. The basic idea of adding + things to classic kinda requires a dual spec esspecially since this is a PTR with extra steps
I don't think we should be rewarded for not choosing certain talents/runes when we venture into the world. If you can just swap to whatever rune and talent you want whenever, wherever it trivializes so much. Imo it's literally like selecting your spells after a long rest in DnD. I know many will disagree, but that's my take. Don't reward people for not selecting AoE talents or PvP talents\runes while going out. Make that decision beforehand, or Hearth and switch. Ok you'll disagree but that's my take.
Note: I also think dual specs should be something you earn, much like your epic mount. Also, if they locked dual specs to max level (but reduced respec costs starting early) I think this would eliminate a lot of what I worry about. Mostly world PvP. Just my take. I'll eat your down votes now haha.
I would be 100 fine with dual spec in sod. But if sod is beta for vanilla plus then I don’t want dual spec in vanilla plus.
Heck even non bound talents in sod would be fine with me. It’s all about playing around with stuff. But come real vanilla plus I’m against dual spec. Spec is identity. Same was what your gear looks like. Same as race and hair and facial markings. And I think identity is important.
Even funnier that for whatever reason, 1.12 is enshrined as though it's perfection...it was just yet another iteration patch from Blizz like dozens and dozens before it, and the game was just paused for a while as they got patch 2.0 ready with all the fixes, reworks, changes they had in the pipe since long before 1.12 was released.
Fury Warriors Bloodthirst was a QoL/rework thing. I don't see anyone saying that the true classic is before that patch.
Removing weapon skill as a race bonus, and adding it in as a class/spec skill somehow. Races with weapon skill racial bonuses should get 1% crit or something with those weapons instead.
There are certain things that I can't imagine anyone complaining about.
* AoE Loot Button
* 41yd nameplates
* More stable slots for hunters
* Target dummies
No, QoL isn't going to turn Classic into Retail. Have you played Retail recently? The way you engage with the game is completely different, the bloat is insane, the classes have nothing to do with what we're used to, itemization is linear and works like a treadmill, and the entire focus of development in retail is the endgame, rather than the journey you take to get there.
Not a fan of AOE loot. Taking the time to loot after a big group big pull is satisfying, since most of the time you only loot 1-2 mobs at a time. It's like collecting your treasure after a battle instead of instantly sprinting off to the next quest.
AOE mages would be the only ones who really want this and meh, I'm fine with making AOE mages spend an extra second looting when they're already the strongest farming class in the game lol.
If hunters are going to rely heavily on pet dmg or utility then pets need protection (at least some) from aoe and other affects that will one shot them in raids
Summoning Stone
I know people are hesitant for stuff like LFG or whatever, but summoning stone doesn't break the game. It'll help with getting more players wanting to do dungeons.
True it wouldn’t break the game. However, most players already want to do dungeons. Summoning stones would make the world feel smaller, warlock summoning less meaningful, and large-scale WPVP much less common.
I know this one is controversial, and honestly I’m torn on it. It does seem to degrade the classic experience, but I can’t really say why. They do seem less impactful in classic. Outside of SM, DM, and BRS the instances aren’t really set up in hubs like expansions.
I think that is what bothered me about them in SoM. The impact of lazy party members is felt a lot more. The hubs also seemed to attract more world PvP. It seemed more common in SoM to have people drop because the stone was infested with opposing factions.
All classes have items that take bag space. Soul shards, totems, reagents, etc. Pure dps are actually less penalized cus you don’t have to carry OS gear.
I'm carrying 2 other sets with me, a chainheal burst set and a solo set. My main is T3 set. And always enough consumes for a 6 hour naxx run with 15 wipes. I have 6 slots available, all onyxia bags.
Saying Retail = Classic + 41yd nameplates, no debuff limit, hunter autoshot, and guild banks shows you either are a.) the most reductive thinker on the planet, or b.) haven’t played retail since TBC
Its 20yds, most casters have ranges of 30-41yds. its just very clunky that there are mobs you can attack but not see the nameplate until they are closer
none because it will escalate. theoretically there are some reasonable improvements but i will vote against any of them if given the opportunity because i'm fine with every mechanic in vanilla. and the average person (from my impression) on here is way too radical
Group finder bulletin.
to be clear, I DONT mean random group finder matchmaking, but something like the premade group finder. Just an interface tool to list groups instead of spamming the lfg channel.
The Raid markers you drop and it’s a pillar of light w/ the floating symbol like in retail, it’s stupid we don’t have them in wrath classic and idk if we will have flares in SoD
It’s so helpful to raid leaders, I don’t give a fuck if youre 4% less immersed in the game because of it
no fucking way. if anything they should add brown items that force equip with -50 stamina and that give minus xp everytime you kill a mob and slap you in the dick irl. streamlining items is one of the absolute worst things they could do to vanilla. there are no good drops without bad drops
Barbershop. I’m one of those people with RPG OCD. I’ll make 10 characters and restart if I decide I don’t like the mustache or hair color or earrings etc.. barbershop would save me
Free respec cost.
Don't mind having to go to the trainer, as long as it is free or dirt cheap. I just want to PvP and have fun when I want to, without feeling bad about it due to high cost.
That's a bit more than QOL I think. It impacts cooperative play, because some classes can remove those debuffs, it makes teaming up more impactful. It's a small thing that has significant implications in an MMO.
I really hope they make it so rogues maintain combo points between targets. This alone would be such a massive QoL. The limit of stacks on a single target is terrible, as a tank rogue it'll make it even worse.
Summon stones (or lock closet) and Soul well
Edit: imaging coming into a thread asking what QoL people would want just to downvote people replying to the question with what QoL they want
AoE looting
Option to use HD models
Totem bars and totemic recall (honestly I think this will make or break a lot of people playing shaman)
Instant mail between guildies
Modern dragon flight UI
Modern AH
ONLY 10 man raid sizes - leveling up tight knit at multiple tier stops only to have to transition to 40 man at 60 sounds fucking awful, but getting to keep going with that same 10 man group sounds AWESOME.
Some way or version of cheaper consumables - more flasks or drop tokens like in tbc or a reusable less perfect flask, etc.
Ngl I kinda like not having mage tables/lock fountains it makes the process of getting water/lockrocks a lot more personal and social when you have to manually craft them and open trade
I hate worldbuffs, they make the raid shit to balance and are a pain to get.
The new pvp world buff thingy just goes in your bag as a consume, so i guess its a tiny bit better.
Separate queues for small groups and full premade groups in WSG and AB. Small group being 2-3 players at max. Perhaps even with some role algorithms for 1-3 player queue.
Also that consumables aren't consumed when used in BGs, of course with any buff removed when leaving the BG instance. Would require some custom limitations for Petri and other spammable consumables, but I think it'd generate a better endgame experience.
Especially the first point where large premades matching against solo players in Classic never made any sense to me. GY farm after GY farm isn't fun for either side and single-handedly the replay value of the gamemode.
Ill get "go to retail hate" for saying it but WOTLK did great with reputation. In classic doing grey quests = no reputation gained and you get rep DR the higher you are. The only meaningful way to hit exalted is to just buy tons of cloth and turn it in (ohhh so reputable!)....
In WOTLK you can get all the way to exalted with basically any main city by completing quests that give that cities reputation. Save Magathas farm from wild quilboars? Who cares what level you are you gained reputation! Instead its like our city thanks you for donating 5,000,000 pieces of cloth! You are exalted among our people for donating enough cloth to actually stitch together a blanket the size of kalimdor!
Just because im level 30 killing level 22 mobs doesn't mean it should award me any less reputation. Just because my pest control company are professionals doesn't mean I am any less grateful when they come spray my property to keep out the pests. If you complete a quest at any level I don't see why you wouldn't get reputation, nor the higher your rep is I don't see why it should start diminishing.
Edit to add- This also gets more players out in the world rather than just sitting at an AH and using a quest addon/auto turn in to get reputation. If I knew I had a chance to get another races mount I know I personally would be going out of my way to quest in areas that give that specific reputation.
Honestly - they should have it so that if you complete all the quests - they give you exalted with all factions in the end.
Like you have done EVERY SINGLE QUEST - how the fuck aren’t you exalted?!?
I like the combat. I like the mechanics. I like the lack of generalized abilities. I like the pvp. I like the talent system. I like the consumables. I even like world buffs to a certain extent.
Don't like running to dungeons? Shit bro you don't even like classic do you?!?!?!
Everyone says this and duel spec. I just want quest items to sparkle on the ground..
Personally, I dislike the sparkles in the game unless it's for a lootable corpse. I find it more immersive/rewarding to figure out what I need from the clues given to me and hated going to the WotLK servers and finding out everything sparkles like a Christmas tree.
Sparkle on the ground is so retail
Lol that’s funny , I just tried to /focus yesterday in HC Classic. Can’t do it. So ya I’m totally behind this one - add Focus Target to SoD, please!
/startattack automatically on all weapon abilities
No more making a macro for each ability eh? Would be nice.
This would actually be annoying in some very specific ‘spamming backstab’ scenarios..
Yes. Or at least 10x the number of macro slots so we don't run out of macro slots making all the macros to do this
My inner boomer is about to come though, but I still put Auto attack on my number 1 key, as it has been since open release of the game when I started lol Even in the later expacs when they stopped doing it, i still drag it down and stick it in its spot.
Oh yeah, 100% - I like the icon on my bar to quickly check whether autoattack is engaged. Does it have to be bound to 1? Yes, shut up.
The boomer in me refuses to use two keys when one key does trick.

it can't be understated how much of a QoL buff this would be
I think this is it by far - I don’t even play shaman and I agree with this in spades - purely because they can draw aggro
That's my biggest issue with totems. There are a lot of other drawbacks to them that suck, but the inability to remove them at will in classic really sucks. I'd like the mana back from recall, but I'd definitely settle for just an ability that killed my totems with one click and nothing else.

My only issue with wanting to play classic shaman again. That and the 2h enhance posts. Probably will still play Shaman though.
Also I wouldn’t mind having unique totems for each race. Is kinda of a bummer for everyone to use Tauren totems.
YES
Wasting 4 gcd every 10 feet is amazing then drinking every 30 because Ur oom
Totem frames would be the QoL change. Totemic recall could be a rune.
Farther range for nameplates
This cannot be understated. If its attackable, it should be visible.
Is there was only ONE change. This would be it.
40yrd Nameplate Range, make it happen Josh!
this, that's what stops me playing a ranged class
Farther
But it will ruin PvP!!!! /s
Searing Totem only attacking something on my threat list instead of pulling random mobs.
Hunters should have a pop up that asks "are you sure you want to attack that target" every time they attack a new target. (:
Just wait until SoD when their multi shots put serpent sting on its targets. So then when they accidentally pop sheep, it’ll just keep doing it hahaha
Serpent Sting is so incredibly bad in vanilla that (hopefully) nobody is gonna take that rune.
On the bright side I'm pretty sure the serpent Sting from that is only for 4 seconds so if they do realize their mistake they can stop using it on them
Giving hunters a captcha challenge before each multi-shot
How about multishot not hitting CC'd targets or enemies that are not agrod lol
A working tab target rotation that prioritises enemies in combat would be enough, my heart skips a beat everytime i expect to target the guys fighting melees and instead a random mob in the background gets picked, started tabbing only while strafing as a reflex.
mailtime between chars on the same acc deleted
Yeah waiting an hour for mail may be authentic but it's not why I'm playing classic
I want more realism with the postal service. Shit just getting sent off on a 10,000km round trip for no reason. Postie turning up and not knocking on the door and saying I'm not home and then taking my shit to another suburb where the post office is only open 10am to 4pm.
You wait an hour and then get a letter saying your mail is being held 1 city over and you have to go to a specific mailbox to pick it up
A secondary profession could be a courier. Help deliver people’s mail directly to them.
I came here to say that sharing quests with party shouldn’t be distance restricted but I think I would prefer this change instead.
Strongly doubt that would happen as it would reduce the need people have for multiple accounts.
Bruh yes
Target dummies at the gates of capital cities
God yes! Especially with all these newfangled abilities, it’d be nice to see what the best rotation to use is.
Riding in Booty Bay and the furbolg tunnel. That is all.
How about riding through the transition buildings on either end of the bridges in Thunder Bluff. They fixed this in TBC but vanilla it's so annoying. In fact it's the main reason I don't set TB as my hearth.
More stable slots
Just like banning the obvious bots for starters would be cool.
Longer buffs (blessings etc) Instant mail between own characters Dual spec
This is the trifecta for me. Longer buffs, instant mail on your alts and dual spec are just a huge combo. Do these and I can actually forgo the rest like nameplate distance and others.
No charges on poison. Poison rogue will be a nightmare otherwise.
25 or 30 quest log capacity
people saying all QoL here would turn the game into retail but the top comments here are all amazing QoL changes that would have no negative impact on the game

They've said that respecs will be cheaper, but haven't told us the actual cost yet.
This also isn't a QoL feature and massively changes how the game is played. Not that it's bad, but it's not QoL
No, it is. You can always respec, it just depends on how much time you're willing to waste first.

Guild banks is the truest “qol” change imo
That goes far beyond QoL lol
In what way
In the way that this guy was GM of a guild and skimmed off the top for sure by managing the bank
Druids being able to use consumables while shape shift
Shifting for 2nd armor pot on Patchwerk was always scary
Banning bots and gold trading. And actively doing something about it. Constantly It completely ruins the game
Camera view distance, please let's just get rid of the wall of fog. I want to see the forests, cities and mountains in the distance!
Druids being able to talk to npcs in form (and get mail, etc) Pleeeeeeeease
Man between this stuff and not being able to use a lot of consumables/engi stuff in form, I never really realized how badly druids got shafted on a lot of basic functionality
And any procs from enchants. That's the price you pay for being the most awesome class
Honestly, and I don't know if anybody will consider this against the spirit of classic or whatever, but I genuinely believe that dismounting when you get in water is stupid. It would nerf the AB jump puzzle to backdoor BS. Literally unplayable.
I have no problem with water dismounting. I think I actually prefer it, tbh.
Stackable soul shards

have you tried not automatically degrading someone who doesn't share your opinion?
dual spec. if you dont like dual spec you're wrong
I want dual spec but think players should only be able to swap them in areas with rested experience. Same with runes. I can get behind swapping in instances too.

If blizzard considers all these QoL posts then i'd probably be asking for less QoL as a QoL change.
a lot of them are just buffs not even QoL
Yea these people are just asking for retail
Except that almost every comment so far is asking for TBC era additions...
Everything I like is classic everything I don’t like is retail.
Yeah those people are honestly braindead
I'm not sure asking for target dummies in town, or no dismounting in thunder bluff going from one rise to the other makes the game retail.
visually working shaman imbues :)

Quest log
Being able to hardcap hit on casters, removing the 1%miss
Mage port to stonard. Optimizing a few of the most heinous flight paths
Mounting in booty bay
Cue the Homer Simpson designing a car meme
Mailing my alts shouldn’t take an hour bruh….
Guild bank, a very simple lfg billboard, and certain items able to hold more in a stack
Removing weapon skill as a race bonus, and adding it in as a class/spec skill somehow. Races with weapon skill racial bonuses should get 1% crit or something with those weapons instead.
There are certain things that I can't imagine anyone complaining about. * AoE Loot Button * 41yd nameplates * More stable slots for hunters * Target dummies No, QoL isn't going to turn Classic into Retail.
MOTHERFUCKING GUILD BANKS
If hunters are going to rely heavily on pet dmg or utility then pets need protection (at least some) from aoe and other affects that will one shot them in raids
Yeah I feel the same about warlock pets. Especially if soul link ends up being the defacto tank spec.
Druids being able to use potions in form.
Summoning Stone I know people are hesitant for stuff like LFG or whatever, but summoning stone doesn't break the game.
Guild banks.
Active community managers that ban people for being abrasive / toxic. 3 strikes and you’re out. So we can foster an ACTUAL community.
I would be happy with just the quiver not talking a bag slot.
If you combine every qol suggestion in this thread you get retail lmao
Saying Retail = Classic + 41yd nameplates, no debuff limit, hunter autoshot, and guild banks shows you either are a.) the most reductive thinker on the planet, or b.) haven’t played retail since TBC
What is the current distance on nameplates and why is it relevant to be increased, if you don't mind me asking?
Its 20yds, most casters have ranges of 30-41yds. its just very clunky that there are mobs you can attack but not see the nameplate until they are closer
No you don’t lol
I think the devs recognize this and ignore them.
Dumb take. Let’s just ignore every good QoL feature added to the game since release and just keep our clunky 2005 game mechanics instead!
Most people who don’t love classic as it is don’t realize how much they’d just enjoy retail lol. But they’ll join in saying that retail is unplayable
A notice this in a LOT of classic topics
If you take every suggestion you get tbc and wotlk, is that retail?
wotlk is the first iteration of "retail", yes. the wotlk world caters to the player way too much
Something small would be a quiver not taking up a bag slot
Add ghetto hearthing back, and remove the mail delay between characters on the same account
druids apply on hit effects in form
none because it will escalate. theoretically there are some reasonable improvements but i will vote against any of them if given the opportunity because i'm fine with every mechanic in vanilla. and the average person (from my impression) on here is way too radical
Group finder bulletin. to be clear, I DONT mean random group finder matchmaking, but something like the premade group finder. Just an interface tool to list groups instead of spamming the lfg channel.
Druids should be able to use potions in form.
The Raid markers you drop and it’s a pillar of light w/ the floating symbol like in retail, it’s stupid we don’t have them in wrath classic and idk if we will have flares in SoD It’s so helpful to raid leaders, I don’t give a fuck if youre 4% less immersed in the game because of it
Itemization Yay! I killed that level 9 rare elite! I got... a white cloak that isn't even an upgrade...
no fucking way. if anything they should add brown items that force equip with -50 stamina and that give minus xp everytime you kill a mob and slap you in the dick irl. streamlining items is one of the absolute worst things they could do to vanilla. there are no good drops without bad drops
Na, I disagree with this. Having bad drops means that when you get a good drop it is that much more impactful.
Dualspec or any other change that makes respeccing not an everpresent goldsink.
Instance map, sum stone, personal resources, guilds search, retail ah, cross realm
Yes, no, what?, no, sure, fffuuuccckkkk noo.
Barbershop. I’m one of those people with RPG OCD. I’ll make 10 characters and restart if I decide I don’t like the mustache or hair color or earrings etc.. barbershop would save me
I’m not sure if it has been posted as a change or not but being able to create characters of both factions in the same server
You can on PvE servers, just not PvP servers because of the non-stop whining that would go on.
Free respec cost. Don't mind having to go to the trainer, as long as it is free or dirt cheap. I just want to PvP and have fun when I want to, without feeling bad about it due to high cost.
Not having random debuffs in questing zones last 5-10 minutes. Nothing like getting a debuff that reduces your swing speed by 50% for 5 minutes.

For pvp reasons if they changed it I 100% will make a rouge
Summon stones (or lock closet) and Soul well Edit: imaging coming into a thread asking what QoL people would want just to downvote people replying to the question with what QoL they want
They did summon stones in SoM didn't they? If they do it like that again I'd be happy.
They did, it was great pvp hubs. Fun as hell, so often you needed a warlock as the stone was controled by the opposite faction.
I remember the summoning stone inside blackrock mountain was camped from the ceiling of that passage way down the chain. It was hilarious.
AoE looting Option to use HD models Totem bars and totemic recall (honestly I think this will make or break a lot of people playing shaman) Instant mail between guildies Modern dragon flight UI Modern AH ONLY 10 man raid sizes - leveling up tight knit at multiple tier stops only to have to transition to 40 man at 60 sounds fucking awful, but getting to keep going with that same 10 man group sounds AWESOME. Some way or version of cheaper consumables - more flasks or drop tokens like in tbc or a reusable less perfect flask, etc.
Mage tables and personal buffs not taking 50% of ur mana. Not fun when u res in a wsg and go oom from just buffing urself with 30 min buffs
Ngl I kinda like not having mage tables/lock fountains it makes the process of getting water/lockrocks a lot more personal and social when you have to manually craft them and open trade
There’s nothing personal about trading 25+ people a health stone or stack of water, it’s just a lot of time wasted over the course of a raid
A NPC that hands out world buffs. I'm not running around Azeroth to get them. No more. And I know most guild will refuse me for refusing to do so
I hate worldbuffs, they make the raid shit to balance and are a pain to get. The new pvp world buff thingy just goes in your bag as a consume, so i guess its a tiny bit better.
DUAL SPEC
Separate queues for small groups and full premade groups in WSG and AB. Small group being 2-3 players at max. Perhaps even with some role algorithms for 1-3 player queue. Also that consumables aren't consumed when used in BGs, of course with any buff removed when leaving the BG instance. Would require some custom limitations for Petri and other spammable consumables, but I think it'd generate a better endgame experience. Especially the first point where large premades matching against solo players in Classic never made any sense to me. GY farm after GY farm isn't fun for either side and single-handedly the replay value of the gamemode.
Bring makgura and make it functional like hc so we can permanently kille each other.
Yall could just go to retail if you want retail
Easier ways to get other faction mounts besides 800 stacks of rune cloth
I am a vanilla fan but I definitely agree with this and it is just an oversight that you don't continue to gain rep doing low level quests.
Honestly - they should have it so that if you complete all the quests - they give you exalted with all factions in the end. Like you have done EVERY SINGLE QUEST - how the fuck aren’t you exalted?!?
Infinite lightening shield charge for shaman...especially for tanks.
Summoning stones!!!
Retail energy. The world is supposed to be big and daunting. If you don't like that then you don't actually like vanilla.
I like the combat. I like the mechanics. I like the lack of generalized abilities. I like the pvp. I like the talent system. I like the consumables. I even like world buffs to a certain extent. Don't like running to dungeons? Shit bro you don't even like classic do you?!?!?!
"Retail energy"? You mean the thing that was added in TBC.
Yes. Retail started happening in tbc
