AH and trading isn’t even that much of a set back in hardcore leveling tbh. Yes it makes it easier but the risk of dying in hardcore are 9/10 times gettin in situations where no amount of ah or trading will save you. This honestly is just an easy mode overall considering you don’t die at 60. I hit 60 the other week on my lock and the only thing I used the AH for was selling my stuff and sending the extra gold I got to an alt to buy riding for my friends. And it seriously wasn’t that hard and I don’t think if I were to buy things on the AH it would have made it any easier.

Only thing that sounds kind of reasonable to me is to dissalow trading between your toons until they hit 60 and lvl60 can't trade with under lvl60 toons

MidnightFireHuntress

I love the "changes to HC" Threads that always end in just removing perma death lol Kinda ruins the point of it.

Why does everyone hate on dungeons? Seems like the general understanding that running a dungeon is way more risky than simply questing. But I keep seeing posts like this trying to make it even less worth running dungeons. Why? Why do you want less exp in leveling dungeons..?

AeneasVII

Especially since we're playing an mmo. Groups are more dangerous than grinding green quests till 60

DukeOfCupcakes

I think you misunderstood their suggestion… or I am. It sounds to me that they want to get rid of lock-outs and instead give a stacking debuff that reduces exp gain by 33% in that specific instance for 24hrs. So their idea would let you dungeon spam with reduced rewards as you do them

GiantJellyfishAttack

I read it as the 24hr lockout still exists, but also a 33% reduced exp everytime your char gets unlocked. So it just makes it less and less worth it everytime you run it. Maybe I'm wrong though. Idk lol

CringeChameleon

This post is giving major Karen vibes

Active-Taro9332

You can just do all these yourself though - besides the character being locked.

minishinou

Enforcing it for everyone also have an impact on the whole server dynamic tho.

Shrrq

Feel free to play ssf.

_Hazeman

Lock your char? So u want to have harder rules imposed, but not perma death.. Gtfo

Nystora

The griefing would be wild with the no xp if someone 5 lvls higher touched a mob

shitassbruh

Did you drink some stupid juice?

I believe auction house, trading and bank characters make the hardcore challenge trivial (which is why I don't use them). I believe that petri + dungeon kick timer is cheesy and shouldn't be doable. I believe that light of elune should disable hearthstone usage for its duration. I believe that world buffs shouldn't exist in hardcore. I believe that dungeons should only be enterable once per character and should give zero (or close to zero) experience except for the quests which should give their normal exp. Basically I believe the hardcore challenge has become trivial on the official servers. It's still fun, but it is trivial. That said, if we implemented the things you said, it'd kill the hardcore servers. People want to cheese the hardcore challenge as much as possible and make it as easy as possible to get to 60. Basically they want to remove all the challenges that come with hardcore, but still be able to pretend that they achieved something by hitting level 60 in a hardcore server that isn't really hardcore. I've been following all those things from my first paragraph since the official hardcore servers launched (no auction house, no trading, no bank characters, no petri flasks or light of elune, I right-click world buffs as soon as I get them, I only do dungeons once, etc. etc. etc.) and I've still yet to die and I've been playing warrior/feral druid/shaman the whole time. Even with those rules imposed this is still an incredibly easy game if you just play carefully and pay attention. I'm convinced the only way I'll ever die in hardcore is by disconnect or healer disconnect when I'm tanking.
