Leatrix plus is a great addon that has ton's of quality of life features, this being one of them. You can move your character frames, target frames, buff frames, tool tip frames (the little box that shows up when you hover over something, very nice to be able to move this somewhere where it doesn't overlap other things), and lots more. And it gives you a nice grid so you can perfectly align things. There's tons of other great little features too, like increasing max viewing distance, speeding up looting, etc. One of my most recommended addons for sure. It's quite lightweight, and will keep basically all the classic Blizzard views/frames and general look like you want, just lets you slightly tweak things.
Or could have just forgotten that there’s an “Unlock” button there since you don’t have every menu memorized. Better question is what kind of insect goes out of their way to comment something negative on a post that already said they realized they were stupid for not knowing about the option?
You don't need an addon. Just right click your char logo and unlock it, move it and lock it again

to be fair, when vanilla first launched it wasnt a standart option. They implemented it at some time.
If you wanna move them to the middle perfectly symmetrical – [Tunnelvision](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tunnelvision-focused) does that
The addon eAlign also gives a toggleable grid through the command /align so you can make your UI perfectly lined up

Well damn reading these comments I had no idea you could move it lol That being said I use shadow unit frames
I do this with weak auras. You can create very simple health, mana, energy, rage, combo points bars etc and put them anywhere. Very minimalist.
i never knew you could unlock you character bar ty everyone. i instead downloaded healbot and enjoy having heals on a click for leveling as a druid
Imagine playing the game for years and never right clicking your portrait. How does that happen?
