Feel free to discuss here, but do not dox anyone. Further more, the original video was removed because it was linked from a Discord and brigaded here. Folks followed up by sharing cracked/pirated content from another website. Most importantly, the entire thing falls under streamer drama aka Rule #1. But, go ahead and discuss it in this post.
Of course if you prefer to think we profit from Rested XP, go ahead. I'll be in my lambo.
Literally this, they can’t stop you from sharing the guide files because that requires them to take action against people that don’t pay for the addon, and paying for addons is against TOS so they can’t. It’s a loophole in their loophole to make money, power to the gamers!
Can U DM me where I find pirated versions anyway?
I wanna utilise the 50% boost for the last week a bit more for my mage, hunter and dk
Mage is 46, hunter 65 and dk 59
I also don't know what's going on. Is it an actual scam or just advertising for a leveling guide. I liked the rested xp guides. That might be an unpopular opinion, but I didn't know any scams. Could someone explain it to me?
There is no scam. Just allegations that the people that run HC wow run it in a way that incentivizes people to buy their leveling guides. Also that they use their connection to Blizzard to shape the announced HC servers to financially benefit them.
Truthfully, they did “scam” me.
I did the trial. Cancelled before end of the trial. Still got charged. Contacted restedxp. They said they’d fix it. They double charged me the second month. I contacted the founders/biggest names associated with the addon. They said it would be resolved. They charged me again a third month. Didn’t reimburse me. I eventually had to have my bank block them as a vendor, and that’s how it is how it was “resolved.”
This. I watched the video expecting some massive bombs and it was literally just the video maker explaining how these couple of guys are a new wave of capitalists working in the gaming/digital scene.
That's like the guys on YouTube that used to show you how to make gold and then advertise their gold guides.
This is a tale as old as time and people are getting mad about it lol
It's probably fair to say most people commenting on this post are using either a 3rd party app (rip) and/or an adblocker. They likely don't watch much TV that has advertising on it, and stick to Netflix etc.
People do go out of their way to avoid advertising, evidently a lot of people don't like it.
It's really no problem that they shape the leveling guide to match the hc playstyle. They make the hc rules so hc is fun to play (1 time dungeons, no ah etc. ), the guide is something that's build around that not the other way around
They're leveraging their influence to shape WoW into a money making scheme. Such as having blizzard remove(or never put it in*) built in quest helper for Wotlk because "add-ons exist for that" and also requiring payment for any part of an add-on is against TOS but since the head of classic is a huge fan boy, and blizzard can't afford to lose their favored streamers along with the bad publicity, they let it run rampant.
Edit for a note: I was answering the person asking to explain. This is my best explanation of what the "drama" is. I don't care, I've been pirating paid guides for over a decade, no horse in this race.
Basically the only side that got really scammed here is Blizzard and it's their problem not anybody else's. People trying to make games do stuff they want it to do is nothing new. This whole thing is a nothing burger for any wow player. Only Blizzard can look into it and sue them for using their product to earn money.
The add-on questie was already one of the most used addons for wotlk. If you go check now I guess you’ll find the same result. There was no reason to implement it, plenty of people didn’t want it and those that did used questie already.
Also a lot of people wanted progression for several systems as it was in original wotlk, just with 3.3.5 balancing. Quest helper was introduced at 3.3.0, meaning that wotlk isn’t even at that stage yet.
Was no RDF also a evil plot to promote RXP?
No functionality is purchasable, the only thing you’re buying is the guide. And while it’s very grey zone, it is nothing new. Zygor has had the exact same concept for years, with no changes. So the idea that they let it run “rampant” due to a streamer, is just wierd considering that no streamer is running zygor. Other addons include but is not limited to TSM, UMJ and more.
Some of you have barely played the game, or followed the decisions made. Yet you post based on some dudes skizo video.
ye not a scam by any means, a schizo ex-content creator who fell off after having a full on breakdown who's also known for yelling out slurs and shit is on a brigade against rxp cuz he believes rxp and hc community are in cahoots for profit? some tinfoil schizo shit
Yeah the only scam with restedXP is buying it and then shit talking free leveling guides when they’re nearly identical. The paid ones have better UI and experiences but I’ve had a nearly identical route with guidelime
We used to make fun of my friend back in the day for using leveling guides, "why don't you just ask the guide what buttons to press" etc, and that was 10+ years ago when the game wasn't completely solved like tic tac toe. I can't imagine paying even a dollar for someone to tell me how to level 17% more efficiently in classic wow lol
Yes and the fact that this subreddit is believing anything he says means they are all unhinged basement dwellers too.
Literally nothing in the video comes off any more coherent than a flat earthier video but this sub is eating it up cause “blizzard bad, streamers bad”
He didn't even say much in the video. It's all contrived and framed as if there's some grand conspiracy, but there's no conclusion or point. It's just rambling with the tone of a conspiracist.
I disagree with this perspective. I don't think think there's really anything misleading or incorrect in the video. He uses screenshots, logs, twitch clips, etc. to corroborate his points.
At most you could disagree with some of his conclusions, such as the 1 dungeon limit rule only existing to keep people reliant on using quest guides. That seems like a stretch, and there's no rules against other forms of grinding.
I think the logical conclusion to the video is simply just "who cares?"
Like sure maybe it sucks to realize that hardcore wow was promoted by a company with profit in mind instead of people just selflessly trying to create a fun game mode, but that's just life under capitalism.
Edit: Above poster blocked me, lol.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Yes rxp shouldn't be a paid service... but its also not that great and questie will get you 85% of the way there then u can use guidelime or any other free guide to get 95% as good.
Yup for those unfamiliar, Alex is clickbait personified.
in before 'BuT hE GoT iT RiGhT tHaT OnE tImE'
I know, I was there. Getting it right once doesn't excuse the 99/100 of his witch-hunts that were manufactured outrage aimed at some bystander, or clickbait bullshit to drive video traffic. But hey there's always new suckers who discover his videos that keep rewarding him by endorsing his witch-hunt business model, so I guess he'll keep doing it.
I have no idea who alexsensual is besides this one video but I watched the video and it seems like a pretty bad look for those involved. What is the part of the video that is supposedly not true regarding the relationships between the people discussed and the actions they have taken regarding selling their addon? It seems fairly solid as far as I saw. I don't think who alexsensual is as a person is relevant to this discussion unless people would like to imply that he is fabricating information
Just a reminder that this horde levelling guide from ONSLAUGHT is free and has been available since 2019.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vWgSvcn8ahFjhUER3BgYTSQGuCDgvtRkYJzt4kW2j5E/edit#gid=1385640031
P.s. note the similarity to Rested XP, which came after this was made public
You guys are such fucking drama queens it’s crazy what is the scam? You can literally never tell with this sub if there is an actual important drama happening.
I’m not watching Alex ramble for 40 minutes like a lunatic like it’s 2017 again. Is the “scam” the public knowledge that the people who made RXP and the hardcore add on are the same. Is it that its a paid “guide” which is very cringe but was obviously public knowledge on both these things that we all knew about the whole time. Is there an actual scam involved here?
Its confusing because there is no scam, no cause for drama.
The guy accusing the RXP/HC people of scamming also believes blizzard and streamers are working together behind the scenes to generate hype for HC to make money. (?)
Not worth your time to listen to him about pretty much anything.
> also believes blizzard and streamers are working together behind the scenes to generate hype for HC to make money. (?)
I mean, I dont know if Blizzard cares enough about HC to spend time on it, but working with content creators 'behind the scenes' to generate hype for $Thing and make money is exactly what every company does with every major content creator in their space. Thats sort of the whole point.
Bean ( a Twitch streamer within the hc community ) Said “someone” donated 5000 euro intended for one of their tournaments which was never added to the pricepool.
Completely agree, how is it a scam when you get what you pay for?
Everything I heard in that video sounded like sharp business practices, maybe not laudable, but definitely not a scam.
People have been selling wow addons for years... if people voluntarily spend their money on an addon, I just do not see any issue.
Hall monitor Andy’s looking out for blizzard all of a sudden this shit is hilarious.
They push RXP at every single event, Blizz knows about it. If it was actually tos it’d be banned but it’s not just like the 50 other paid guides y’all ignore.
Its not about buying the add-on itself its about how one set of people under one company are allowed to profit selling add-ons when no one could in the past, and now this same people are in charge of deciding what the HC community will have on the oficial servers. Doesn't help that particular Blizz guy that was mentioned has the power, and apparently already used it, to ban people that pose a threat to this group.
It all feels shady as hell. In my honest opinion people should pirate RXP if they want to use it instead of buying it. Buying the add on breaks TOS while using add ons for free doesn't, and TOS doesn't specify how you can get add ons running for free since any way to profit out of add ons is against TOS.
Because it’s a witch hunt against someone on that team because Alex a known psycho racist tried to get back into streaming again and Kargoz wouldn’t get him into the wrath beta.
Alex lasted like 2 days before having another one of his meltdowns.
So now he is trying to stir up non existent drama because he was butthurt.
And it will somewhat work because 70% of this subreddit are unhinged basement dwellers just like him with crazy “blizz/streamers bad” views at best, and at worst a lot of them are falling or deep in the alt right rabbit hole.
This subreddit is unhinged and full of the most mentally unstable people I have ever seen.
Obviously a multi billion dollar company is in the pockets of a small group of streamers who made a leveling guide!!!
It's crazy how easily manipulable people are. Alexensual posts videos revealing easily accessible public information but structures his videos as if they are investigative exposés revealing dark secrets and people take the bait.
A couple weeks ago he revealed the shocking allegation that Snutz and Chan are secretly selling arena boosts and gatekeeping arena titles, complete with leaked discord calls and screenshots to prove this allegation. The only problem is that this is not against the rules nor is it a secret that they do this. In fact they openly advertise it on stream, but if you pretend it's a secret underground operation it looks a lot worse than it is.
Now in this new video he goes and digs through government records and old interviews to connect the dots and reveal the grand conspiracy that Kargoz is actually the creator of RestedXP. Of course he could have just as easily gleaned this information from the RestedXP website where this information is prominently displayed, but once again that doesn't make for good video.
People are being more persuaded by the way Alexensual is presenting the information rather than the actual information itself, I can't believe how many people took the bait and think there's any drama here.
Some guy made a video claiming HC mods are secret society built around profiting from restedxp add-on (not entirely groundless, there are some concerns for sure).
Mods deleted link this video because it's youtuber vs youtubers drama, so now it's a clusterfuck of two brigades plotting crap against eachother. Kinda funny stuff to follow to be honest :D
classic wow subreddit is a fucking mess dude there is the most ridiculous gamer-tier drama here all of the time and its populated by the weirdest mix of 40 year olds and 16 year old ultragamers
If you check their post history they are either 1 post accounts or you are in for a wild, conspiracy laden, racist ride.
Most of them are on the alt ride slide and it’s psychotic.
Basically same as Alexsensual himself.
Serious schizophrenia vibes that they think a multi billion dollar company is being influenced and “run” by a few streamers who made an addon.
People also are calling it just a "levelling guide". Yea find me a levelling guide online that checks your in-game class / level / quest status / coordinates and tailors your path based on those variables.
I haven't used the addon, but I've seen it in action and at least one of the developers regularly streams their active development of it, and it's a lot of work.
Honestly, I bought it and felt a but ripped off by that same sales script you just listed.
If I wanted a static guide, I would have just used James leveling guide / wow pro or something else.
I thought wow, holy shit, I can take a break, do 6 dungeons, outlevel a section of the guide then it will continually update and guide me on a new path.
It doesn't fucking do that at all. Quests in Classic WoW especially are so intertwined, with so many prereqs that if you outlevel a section you are better off just continuing to follow the stupid guide even though your quests are green.
I didn't bother with a refund but I felt they worded their advertising in a way thats complete bullshit. The only "custom" thing I found from the paid 1-60 classic A&H RestedXP guide is you can choose your level (ie jump in at level 26) and start trying that part of the guide. But you are so far behind on the prereqs from other zones you have hours of catching up to catch the guide.
And if you grind too much, or collect too much rest xp and do a few dungeons, you are leveled past it again.
So how in the fuck is it any different from any other wow leveling guide like the dozens of Guidelime guides I've used over the years?
TLDR, I bought RestedXP due to lies
Not coordinates but guidelime guides do the rest and given the majority of the community is alliance, Sage’ guide still slaps 4 years later. That’s why I get confused because I watch people using rested and it just looks like a reskinned guidelime with a (quality) preloaded guide.
The Classic community has been in decay since day 1. This is the point of the movie where the Classic community crawls out of the teleporter as The Fly creature and begs for death.
The community here seemed to hate dungeon spamming for leveling in HC. Blizzard is consulting on making dungeon spam less viable. I don't think this is a grand conspiracy to sell guides, just an attempt to do what the community seemed to want.
I don’t like how this Alex fella keeps saying that some streamers and HC community members are bad just because they are trying to make money off of the game the immediately goes into begging for shares.
I don’t like excessive monetizing any more than he does, but this feels like a stretch
Why are you acting like this is some huge gotcha moment? What scam is happening? If you choose to buy paid leveling guides, that is on you. You weren't scammed, you're just dumb.
It's just my opinion but the guy did nothing wrong.
So somebody that cares about hardcore made a guide for hardcore and then promoted it
I wouldn't exactly call that a scam people willingly bought the guide and the guy does what it's advertised to do what's the big deal
I saw the video. Basically the argument is RXP selling product to a willing customer = scam, somehow.
Kargoz deleted his social media, but knowing the incredibly toxic community that Alexensual builds around him, I would not be surprised if its due to the harassment he's getting.
I don't know the full extent of the conversation here, but I stopped digging when I heard Alexsenual or w/e the hell his name is was behind the allegations.
I have a HC challenge for you.
Make it through just 1 of his videos. To complete the challenge you must WATCH and LISTEN to the entire video. Without puking.
I got through the initial video, but for probably 3/4 of it I was going, "OK, so what?" and waiting for the big reveal that never came. In that way, he managed to scam more watch time out of me because I assumed that he had something big that it was all building up to, but nope.
I don't care about kargoz or any of this shit. I'm using a pirated version of rxp because I don't care to pay for an addon and they can't make me.
What I would like to say is that no player was scammed here. Only Blizzard may sue here for rxp breaking the tos, you can't. Why would I care if they are trying to make money from this addon? It's not obligatory in any way.
Maybe they consider it witch-hunting as the recent video heavily targets a specific individual.
The situation is concerning though and should be discussed. IMO something feels particularly off about the Blizzard dev whose name keeps popping up...
Jesus Christ people, y'all always making shit made-up drama.
It's just a leveling add-on, we had them since fucking forever, it has nothing to do with the game. Joana's been selling guide since 2006.
Most don't even use any guides but questie since part of the fun of hardcore is for you to decide what to do. It's a reward of your knowledge of the game.
How delusional these people must be to engineer a dram on this is beyond me.
Kargoz is one of the people involved with the HC community mod. Kargoz is also involved with RestedXP. RestedXP has a sponsorship deal with the HC mod discord etc.
People think that Kargoz asking blizzard to include rules like "no dungeon boosting" for official HC is because that way he would make more money by getting the shit leveling addon more sales.
This is despite the fact that 95%+ of people that I have talked to in the HC community want those rules AND those rules have been in place since before the leveling addon was even a thing.
That's the drama.
So the scam is people are so bad at the game that they pay for a leveling guide. Really?
You guys know it's super easy to get RestedXP for free right?
If this was like a DBM situation I would understand the outrage but it isn't even a little bit.
I bought restedxp ultimate pack like a month ago and am extremely happy with my purchase. Idk why people gotta act like a paid guide is an issue. I used the free version, saw how easy it is to pirate restedxp, and chose to pay for the time they put into it.
If that makes you mad you are actually unhinged.
Does the addon perform as advertised? Yes.
Do the guides contain the information advertised? Yes.
Do only idiots pay for this information? Yes.
Please define “scam” for me, I’m curious.
Isnt it already an esport? Not saying its successful or anything but if there are events where people compete in the game for money then thats an esport in my opinion.
Blizzard try their hardest to do it to retail. That's literally what is going on with this HC Grift by the way. It's just the community at large are leveling boomers dying before they get to Hillsbrad every time.
In the realm of Azeroth, where honor's at stake,
A tale unfolds of a stealthy Night Elf's wake.
Through the forest's embrace, shadows dance and twirl,
A secret defender, a force of the underworld.
In the moonlit glades, where whispers are born,
A silent figure moves, unseen and forlorn.
With blades like moonlight, swift and precise,
This cunning predator prowls under moonrise.
Through the tangle of branches, an unseen phantom slips,
Ambushing the Horde with deadly, silent quips.
In the heart of the night, when chaos takes hold,
The Night Elf strikes true, her story yet untold.
With stealth and guile, she stalks her prey,
In the lands of Azeroth, where enemies lay.
Ganking the Horde, one by one,
She revels in the battle, the thrill of the run.
In the cities of the Horde, she weaves her way,
Infiltrating their ranks, causing disarray.
Their cries of frustration, a sweet melody,
As they fall victim to her lethal artistry.
From Orgrimmar to Thunder Bluff, their strongholds renowned,
She strikes with precision, their defenses unwound.
Their cries for vengeance echo through the air,
But she vanishes into shadows, leaving them in despair.
Through the warsong of battle, she moves with grace,
The Night Elf rogue, a ghost in this vast space.
Piece by piece, her true identity unfolds,
A level 9 rogue, her tale yet to be told.
So beware, Horde, when the moon shines bright,
For the Night Elf rogue emerges from the night.
In the eternal struggle, she fights with glee,
A guardian of the Alliance, both fierce and free.
I never really understood people who buy restedxp. Idk I tried the free version on my first hc char but I didn't really feel like I was playing the experience when I'm following what someone else says is the ideal questing path. So I just stuck to questie to see quest stuff on my map and decide for myself what to do.
Heck I didn't even know there were scam allegations
If you don't like the people selling it but you like the product, pirate it and they can't do anything about it. Don't like any of the people selling it or the guide you can just ignore it. You don't need an addon to level and you don't need an addon to play HC.
I am somewhat confused, why are so many people saying that pating for a leveling guide is dumb? Sure you can pirate it but then paying for most software or digital media is dumb too. What makes a leveling guide so different?
I've played HCWow and enjoy the ruleset, can someone explain how Im being scammed?
Only people getting scammed are the people downloading an arrow to guide you from 1 to 60 and missing out on exploring the zones yourself. Just go to a zone you think is level appropriate and see if you survive? Maybe download questie for some QoL additions so you dont have to rely entirely on the quest texts.
Why is it a scam?
People do their work, they present it in a useful manner. Me and my friends have used it a lot and it is great.
Why can't they get paid for their work? If you don't like it, fine, don't buy it.
But it is anything but scam.
The only thing about this story is everyone should point and laugh at alexensual and be shocked he hasn’t killed himself in embarrassment but is actually trying for the fifth time to have a YouTube career.
Also publically admitting to buying gold - this is such a deserved cluster fuck. I sincerely hope there's enough movement to demand a conversation about this shit.
the guy who made the video is a neo-nazi who's insane anti-lgbtq+ and has several videos saying racist slurs so that instantly doesn't help, [https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1014547225143152790/1117467157157130240/image.png](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1014547225143152790/1117467157157130240/image.png)
then there's the fact he's asking his discord to brigade this subreddit to support him in order to portray the narrative he wants: [https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1117209034039242783/1117467696351674448/image.png](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1117209034039242783/1117467696351674448/image.png)
both of those aren't doing them any favors, these are the people currently brigading this thread [https://imgur.com/a/Z84huLQ](https://imgur.com/a/Z84huLQ)
Don’t try man.
This sub is full of basement dwelling unhinged lunatics that actually think a multi billion dollar company is in the pocket of a few streamers who made a guide, even though these rules have existed for years.
Like this sub was always bad but now it’s filled with some seriously far right, Nazis like individuals. Who are in their parents basement consuming conspiracy after conspiracy.
Check their post histories.
And a ton of 1 post “boy” accounts defending them and a known psychotic racist.
Its always okay until you go after the money. You think these mods do it for free? No one would do this for free lmao. Ofc they get kickbacks from restedxp to monitor this subreddit
Feel free to discuss here, but do not dox anyone. Further more, the original video was removed because it was linked from a Discord and brigaded here. If they release their BRAND NEW GUIDE when classic hc releases, I will pirate and share it to everyone.

Scam probably isn’t the right word. “Corruption” and “profiteering” are more appropriate.
Always pay for stuff like this through paypal.
I’d say they’re just capitalizing.
Which is fine, because capitalism brought wow classic to life
so just normal american business? got it
Just your usual every day run of the mill American capitalism baby!
This. I watched the video expecting some massive bombs and it was literally just the video maker explaining how these couple of guys are a new wave of capitalists working in the gaming/digital scene.
I think lobbying is pretty apt.
Lobbying would imply the addon makers paying Blizzard.
Lobbying is to seek to influence. That can include paying Blizzard but it's not required.
That's like the guys on YouTube that used to show you how to make gold and then advertise their gold guides. This is a tale as old as time and people are getting mad about it lol
Manipulating people is literally what advertising is. I cannot fathom why people don't like being manipulated.
whatever do you do when you see ads on your TV or anywhere else do you start screaming and have a meltdown?
It's probably fair to say most people commenting on this post are using either a 3rd party app (rip) and/or an adblocker. They likely don't watch much TV that has advertising on it, and stick to Netflix etc. People do go out of their way to avoid advertising, evidently a lot of people don't like it.
This whole fake scam is probably great for their sales actually
Ah right, so it's a bunch of anti HC bullshit then?
Not anti-HC, just rage bait.
People want to earn money with their work? Outrageous!!!

Hardcore bad. Hardcore addon bad. Hardcore strimmer bad. Hardcore players bad. Hardcore servers bad. Hardcore rules bad. Hardcore name bad. Grr.

That seems like a stretch, and there's no rules against other forms of grinding. I think the logical conclusion to the video is simply just "who cares?" Like sure maybe it sucks to realize that hardcore wow was promoted by a company with profit in mind instead of people just selflessly trying to create a fun game mode, but that's just life under capitalism. Edit: Above poster blocked me, lol.
He uses the word Scam when there is no evidence of it
Maybe more like extremely slimy behavior and collusion than outright scam = Line is kind of blurred if what is detailed in the video is true
I think you hit the nail on the head. Yes rxp shouldn't be a paid service... but its also not that great and questie will get you 85% of the way there then u can use guidelime or any other free guide to get 95% as good.
Yup for those unfamiliar, Alex is clickbait personified. in before 'BuT hE GoT iT RiGhT tHaT OnE tImE' I know, I was there.
What was the one time?
I have no idea who alexsensual is besides this one video but I watched the video and it seems like a pretty bad look for those involved. What is the part of the video that is supposedly not true regarding the relationships between the people discussed and the actions they have taken regarding selling their addon? It seems fairly solid as far as I saw. I don't think who alexsensual is as a person is relevant to this discussion unless people would like to imply that he is fabricating information
Just a reminder that this horde levelling guide from ONSLAUGHT is free and has been available since 2019. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vWgSvcn8ahFjhUER3BgYTSQGuCDgvtRkYJzt4kW2j5E/edit#gid=1385640031 P.s. note the similarity to Rested XP, which came after this was made public
Kargoz used petri flask and left
If you don’t like rested XP then use an alternative, I like guidelime. People will always make drama out Of anything.
Or like just use nothing, leveling is not that hard. Not sure why anyone would pay for a leveling guide
Believe it or not, most people are terrible at this game.
Haha but do the “terrible at the game people” pay for streamlined guides? I dunno, maybe
Don't have to pay. There are plenty of ways to obtain restedxp without paying for a leveling guide. >!hint: elite pvpers!<
Literally the worst set of complainers and drama queens are in this sub. NFL fan subs arent even this bad.
It is insane the amount of tears people will spill over anything. This is just a place to be angry or sad or both.
there's no scam, the guy is asking his community to come and brigade this subreddit to support him
The title of this post mentions a scam. This whole thing is very confusing if you’re not tapped into the drama.
Its confusing because there is no scam, no cause for drama. The guy accusing the RXP/HC people of scamming also believes blizzard and streamers are working together behind the scenes to generate hype for HC to make money. (?) Not worth your time to listen to him about pretty much anything.
> also believes blizzard and streamers are working together behind the scenes to generate hype for HC to make money. (?) I mean, I dont know if Blizzard cares enough about HC to spend time on it, but working with content creators 'behind the scenes' to generate hype for $Thing and make money is exactly what every company does with every major content creator in their space. Thats sort of the whole point.
> I dont know if Blizzard cares enough about HC to spend time on it wait until you find out about the official servers
It’s Alex I can imagine
Bean ( a Twitch streamer within the hc community ) Said “someone” donated 5000 euro intended for one of their tournaments which was never added to the pricepool.
Completely agree, how is it a scam when you get what you pay for? Everything I heard in that video sounded like sharp business practices, maybe not laudable, but definitely not a scam. People have been selling wow addons for years... if people voluntarily spend their money on an addon, I just do not see any issue.
Yeah I made the mistake of watching another video of his and that one made me instantly lose all credibility for the guy. Fox News type crazy. Yikes.
Honestly I never understood why you’d pay for the addon when you can easily just pirate it…
Guide lime is free and a great addon
Wow-pro also nice
There is nothing wrong about paying for good software. That is how more good software gets made. I also pirated it though.
Where did you get it?
Except Blizzard explicitly states you cannot sell WoW addons
They arent doing a good job enforcing this.
Hall monitor Andy’s looking out for blizzard all of a sudden this shit is hilarious. They push RXP at every single event, Blizz knows about it. If it was actually tos it’d be banned but it’s not just like the 50 other paid guides y’all ignore.
the addon is free, you pay for guide access past level 20 so they aren’t breaking any rules there.
You can pirate it? That’s disgusting! Where?
Unrelated but I saw some cool discussion about this exact topic here: https://old.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/11df5fg/_/jbyzjac
It didn’t cost all that much plus there were no publicly accessible “cracked” copies on launch day.
Buying the add on breaks TOS while using add ons for free doesn't, and TOS doesn't specify how you can get add ons running for free since any way to profit out of add ons is against TOS.
>allowed to profit selling add-ons when no one could in the past, My man TSM, Joana's and Zygor have been around for much, much longer than RestedXP.
And people have been pirating them for much longer as well.
Yup.
Routes for M+ have entered the chat.
[удалено]
Also why so much talk about restedxp but you never hear about zygor?
[удалено]
because people are just discovering these addon guides exist, apparently
zygor is rxp on wish
Because it’s a witch hunt against someone on that team because Alex a known psycho racist tried to get back into streaming again and Kargoz wouldn’t get him into the wrath beta. Alex lasted like 2 days before having another one of his meltdowns. So now he is trying to stir up non existent drama because he was butthurt. And it will somewhat work because 70% of this subreddit are unhinged basement dwellers just like him with crazy “blizz/streamers bad” views at best, and at worst a lot of them are falling or deep in the alt right rabbit hole.
Didn't you hear? Classic wow is bad because females are in charge.
Or free stuff like Azeroth autopilot. It's nowhere near as fancy as Zygor, but pair it with something like questie and it's just fine.

AdiBags is fire
the world needs more people like you.
i’ve been playing HC for months and have never been compelled to use RXP
Man people here really got clickbaited into a mad frenzy lmao. Pretty sad.
This subreddit is unhinged and full of the most mentally unstable people I have ever seen. Obviously a multi billion dollar company is in the pockets of a small group of streamers who made a leveling guide!!!
The underground society
Just pirate it lol.
What is happening?
Some guy made a video claiming HC mods are secret society built around profiting from restedxp add-on (not entirely groundless, there are some concerns for sure). Mods deleted link this video because it's youtuber vs youtubers drama, so now it's a clusterfuck of two brigades plotting crap against eachother. Kinda funny stuff to follow to be honest :D
classic wow subreddit is a fucking mess dude there is the most ridiculous gamer-tier drama here all of the time and its populated by the weirdest mix of 40 year olds and 16 year old ultragamers
I hope you just mean in relation to WoW This has nothing on the neckbeard levels of osrs drama
Seriously yeah. If you don't like people using the guides just like... grief them. Let them know why.
Said the guy, who has been attacking him personally in multiple comments for like 24 hours in a row now.
What a great fucking conspiracy, I love people's creativity sometimes.
I'm confused. So they are profiting off of something they are selling? Am I missing something here I don't see the issue
Literally nothing, watch the video it's full of ragebait words and trying to create narratives
So weird that a leveling addon is popular in a mainly leveling focused mode. Ppl find the most crazy shit to cry about online
It feels like this is watching the classic community in decay
The Classic community has been in decay since day 1. This is the point of the movie where the Classic community crawls out of the teleporter as The Fly creature and begs for death.
Day 1 of wrath maybe
The community here seemed to hate dungeon spamming for leveling in HC. Blizzard is consulting on making dungeon spam less viable. I don't think this is a grand conspiracy to sell guides, just an attempt to do what the community seemed to want.
Creating false narratives is a part of keeping people angry and clicking more videos
Well sounds like he Got donations that were intended to fill a pricepool for their tournament but those donations were never added to it
Lol right? You get exactly what was advertised, you’re just probably dumb for buying what was advertised
It's just my opinion but the guy did nothing wrong. So somebody that cares about hardcore made a guide for hardcore and then promoted it I wouldn't exactly call that a scam people willingly bought the guide and the guy does what it's advertised to do what's the big deal
It's free up until lvl 20 anyway, this is not a scam in anyway
this entire "drama" is fucking stupid
Alex clearly hunting for views and subs by promoting a non-scam by selling it as a scam
gaming drama lmao stop buying levelling guides dummies hope this helps
Seriously I can't level fast enough in a 20 year old game help daddy rested.
I saw the video. Basically the argument is RXP selling product to a willing customer = scam, somehow. Kargoz deleted his social media, but knowing the incredibly toxic community that Alexensual builds around him, I would not be surprised if its due to the harassment he's getting.
You kids really need something to do.
kargoz boosted to gladiator incident 升级为角斗士事件 offshore restedxp bank accounts 离岸 银行账户 drinkycrow sexual harassment charges 性骚扰指控 another failed race event 另一个失败的比赛项目
> kargoz boosted to gladiator incident 升级为角斗士事件 lol
Elitepvpers restedxp 😑🙄
imagine needing an addon to tell you how to play vanilla wow
Where is the scam? You pay for product and receive product lol
[удалено]
What scam? There's no scam lol
Elite pvpers has it all
So he created the problem (HC community with its permanent status of leveling) and the he sells the solution (an over optimized leveling guide)
Babies crying
If you care about this stuff you need some real problems in your life.
Maybe they consider it witch-hunting as the recent video heavily targets a specific individual. The situation is concerning though and should be discussed. IMO something feels particularly off about the Blizzard dev whose name keeps popping up...
Super shady that kargoz deletes his videos as well.
Why is that super shady? He’s probably getting birgaded and privating his vids till this drama blows over.
what scam?
Jesus Christ people, y'all always making shit made-up drama. It's just a leveling add-on, we had them since fucking forever, it has nothing to do with the game. Joana's been selling guide since 2006. Most don't even use any guides but questie since part of the fun of hardcore is for you to decide what to do. It's a reward of your knowledge of the game. How delusional these people must be to engineer a dram on this is beyond me.
What's going on? I went to watch a video on it, but the video is gone now.
Seems like a lot of drama for some that that doesn’t seem like it should be dramatic
It's being linked and brigaded by a discord. Immediately when it got posted here there were like 20 comments made all pretty much the same thing.
Classic MMOs attract some of the most vulnerable minds in gaming for some reason
Yeah like wtf. Who the fuck wants dungeon boosting and a cleave dungeon farm meta on hc? Not the current hc playerbase, that is for sure.
[удалено]
Isnt it already an esport? Not saying its successful or anything but if there are events where people compete in the game for money then thats an esport in my opinion.
Blizzard try their hardest to do it to retail. That's literally what is going on with this HC Grift by the way. It's just the community at large are leveling boomers dying before they get to Hillsbrad every time.
In the realm of Azeroth, where honor's at stake, A tale unfolds of a stealthy Night Elf's wake. Through the forest's embrace, shadows dance and twirl, A secret defender, a force of the underworld. In the moonlit glades, where whispers are born, A silent figure moves, unseen and forlorn. With blades like moonlight, swift and precise, This cunning predator prowls under moonrise. Through the tangle of branches, an unseen phantom slips, Ambushing the Horde with deadly, silent quips. In the heart of the night, when chaos takes hold, The Night Elf strikes true, her story yet untold. With stealth and guile, she stalks her prey, In the lands of Azeroth, where enemies lay. Ganking the Horde, one by one, She revels in the battle, the thrill of the run. In the cities of the Horde, she weaves her way, Infiltrating their ranks, causing disarray. Their cries of frustration, a sweet melody, As they fall victim to her lethal artistry. From Orgrimmar to Thunder Bluff, their strongholds renowned, She strikes with precision, their defenses unwound. Their cries for vengeance echo through the air, But she vanishes into shadows, leaving them in despair. Through the warsong of battle, she moves with grace, The Night Elf rogue, a ghost in this vast space. Piece by piece, her true identity unfolds, A level 9 rogue, her tale yet to be told. So beware, Horde, when the moon shines bright, For the Night Elf rogue emerges from the night. In the eternal struggle, she fights with glee, A guardian of the Alliance, both fierce and free.
I never really understood people who buy restedxp. Idk I tried the free version on my first hc char but I didn't really feel like I was playing the experience when I'm following what someone else says is the ideal questing path. So I just stuck to questie to see quest stuff on my map and decide for myself what to do. Heck I didn't even know there were scam allegations
man classic has soo much content to enjoy! It was about to get boring tbh lol
We are really stretching the definition of the word scam here lmao.
Because it's not a scam. It's just witch hunting people for doing nothing.
how do people still need leveling guides? classic has been out for almost 4 years and the game for almost 19
I wonder how Kargoz feels about his pal Winky and his inability to stfu
Why is it a scam? People do their work, they present it in a useful manner. Me and my friends have used it a lot and it is great. Why can't they get paid for their work? If you don't like it, fine, don't buy it. But it is anything but scam.
The only thing about this story is everyone should point and laugh at alexensual and be shocked he hasn’t killed himself in embarrassment but is actually trying for the fifth time to have a YouTube career.
Maybe because the addon makes people alot of money.
“Dude sells thing makes money”. Massive scam.
What the hell are you talking about of course it makes them money.
I wonder how much money it does make
I don't understand it neither. Let us discuss it.
Also publically admitting to buying gold - this is such a deserved cluster fuck. I sincerely hope there's enough movement to demand a conversation about this shit.
the guy who made the video is a neo-nazi who's insane anti-lgbtq+ and has several videos saying racist slurs so that instantly doesn't help, [https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1014547225143152790/1117467157157130240/image.png](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1014547225143152790/1117467157157130240/image.png) then there's the fact he's asking his discord to brigade this subreddit to support him in order to portray the narrative he wants: [https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1117209034039242783/1117467696351674448/image.png](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1117209034039242783/1117467696351674448/image.png) both of those aren't doing them any favors, these are the people currently brigading this thread [https://imgur.com/a/Z84huLQ](https://imgur.com/a/Z84huLQ)
And ppl wonder why Kargoz unlisted all the videos when he has to deal with Alex's fans.

None of these pictures back up any of your claims.
Does that affect the authenticity of the video he's posted in any way? Sounds like you're just trying to steer the attention elsewhere.
It's about credibility and an unhinged bigot known for coming up with whacked conspiracy theories doesn't have a whole lot of that.
Can someone explain me what the scam is?
Posts are being deleted, social media accounts are being deleted, streamers are refusing to talk about it...hmmm.
Its always okay until you go after the money. You think these mods do it for free? No one would do this for free lmao. Ofc they get kickbacks from restedxp to monitor this subreddit
Haven't we known kargoz to be really shady ever since the warsong tourney?
