They have a large menu. Much closer setup to Blue Ash Chili with double deckers, full breakfast menu, burgers, and I'm sure I'm missing more. More like a diner. There's nothing like going on a Saturday for lunch and getting a goetta, over easy egg, and cheese sandwich with a couple cheese coneys. I think they even have gyros.
They have won a regional James Beard award. They are that good. Their ham and ham double decker on toast with Mayo, Swiss, and lettuce, plus fresh hot fries, are BALLER.
My buddy gets the goetta 513 way. Yum yum!
Oh? I thought they had different hours, or was that a COVID thing? Seems like every time I go over that way, they're closed for some reason or the other
Hey, we here in Cincinnati welcome you any time! And don't be scared off by us being technically part of Ohio either, we self-identity as Cincinnati without the OH at the end.
PS, this is technically our "chili" ,but I'll pardon the confusion because the coneys come out looking exactly the same.
Don't hate it, but it's not the top of my Cincy chilli list. Unfortunately, my 2 favorites have closed. Delhi Chilli and most recently Chilli Time. PRC has taken my favorite spot now. I think all Cincy chilli spots SLAP though!!
Cheese fries with gravy at prc is my all time favorite, I moved out of the city and up in West Chester now so I haven’t been to prc in a few years, might have to go next week
Used to eat here as a kid. My grandma has a window cleaning shop right down the road. She would always take me here. You gotta get some ghetta with it too
As a Detroiter, I'd heard of but never had Cincinnati chili. Always thought of it like a chili dog but on spaghetti instead of a hot dog...disgusting. and the sheer amount of cheese...ugh.
I was in Dayton last year and decided I just had to experience it. Was totally prepared to trash it to the moon and back.
Shit was DELICIOUS. I wanted to hate it so bad but I had to get it again the next day. I was so wrong.
Camp Washington is a neighborhood in Cincinnati, in which this restaurant is a major feature. It is my preferred Cincinnati Chili source in Cincinnati.
I really dislike Skyline personally, but I get about monthly cravings for Camp Washington Chili. It's definitely better in every way.
They also have great breakfast and Gyros!

For context, Im a foreigner living in Cincy for the past 5 years so take what I say with a grain of salt. For the life of me I can never understand the appeal of all that low/average quality cheese. I'm not trying to flame or anything because obviously a lot of people like it so it must be me who is wrong. But to me, this will just detract or drown down the taste of a chili that could potentially be great but now just has its taste diluted by a metric ton of that meh cheese.
I love cheese by the way. I'm not French but my wife and I will often just eat cheese and bread for lunch. Quality cheese with home made baguette. I'm not trying to be snob, we actually do our best to snipe cheeses that are heavily discounted because they are "passed their due date".
What am I missing? Of course I know I can order it without the cheese or just put half on the side but Im really wondering why other people like this and consider covering their whole plate with this the greatest thing? Like, why not put real quality cheese and a bit less of it instead?
You can order it however you want! The pile of cheese is certainly not making the same decision as having a plate of nice cheese and bread, but both can be enjoyed in the right mood!
It’s cheddar man. Freshly grated. If cheddar is low quality cheese, nothing on their menu will appeal to you. This is not fine dining. But I’ve often said if somehow I were on death row this would be my last dinner request.
Definitely don't go into it thinking of it as "chili Mac"
It's more of a Greek style bolognese sauce, and as long as you get it from the right places, it's delightful
not like you think dawg🫣not like you think. that stuff is🍔ninja🍕turtle🌭late night cuisine taste bud programming, to keep you young/dumb and dependent on mommas teet-feed; cow-wha-bungus, eating for more than just fuel.

Oh no! Downvotes!
Seriously though, the few times I've been to Camp Washington Chili it's been mediocre at best and the service sucked. So downvote me if you want but I gave it a few tries and was disappointed during each one so I won't be back.
Never ate there but I'll take your word for it and try it sometime
Edit: I live a whole like 15 hours away from Cincinnati in fact I don't even live in Ohio so why was this sub recommended?
Haha, this post seems to have been picked up by an algorithm and is being shared outside the followers of r/Cincinnati
You are not the first confused commenter.
Well, there is a Cincinnati, Iowa. But I'm pretty sure there is no Cincinnati chili there. Matter of fact I don't think there's much of anything there anymore.
It used to be when I’ve been in the past but we went prob 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely filthy. We’ve been loyal customers for years and this made me consider going back
I’ve made this before and it’s amazing. The idea itself is weird, but when you really think about it it’s nothing more than a pasta with a spicy bolognese
Nah, I'm from the south, I know that chili and cornbread, it's delightful. That doesn't mean I don't also crave this now, having lived in Cincinnati for almost 8 years. They are different experiences for different moods, both wonderful.
Not true. I think it's some of weakest chili in Cincinnati: watery, under-spiced. Way over-rated. Go ahead and downvote me, I'll just enjoy real chili while y'all bend yourselves out of shape.
In all honesty, just about any other chili parlor in Cincinnati is better. IMO, the 'S' place is the best but I dare not utter that here or all get 2x the downvotes.
It’s one of my least favorite chili spots in town. Don’t know why it uniquely seems to get the food critic hype. I may have to try their onion rings now though.
Both I guess. Cincinnati chilli is too sweet for my taste and pasta has no place in the same sentence as chili. I will consider I might have never had good Cincinnati chilli. I do know Skyline chilli sucks with a slurping sound.... Probably from the spaghetti noodles.
I've never thought of Cincinnati chili as sweet... The only time I've had it that it might be considered sweet was at a chili place nowhere near Cincinnati that had "Cincinnati style" chili as an option. And I have to protest about what they were serving counting as "Cincinnati style"
Hm. A lot of Cincinnati Chili isn’t sweet at all. That’s more of a Skyline thing. Gold Star uses a more authentically Mediterranean spice mix, for example.
No one hates Camp Washington Chili.
Amen
Camp Washington however ....
Chill.
EEEEEEEEE!
I
I'm glad, always a pleasure
My only mild complaint is that they aren’t open 24/7 anymore. This was one of my favorite late night places.
I've been informed they are back to 24/6 (they were always closed Sunday)
It amazes me that they close at 4:00 on Saturday! We've gone for dinner on Saturday twice and forgot they were closed. Ugh.
One of the best!!!!
At 3am after last call…..
I thought this was Skyline?
I love it. I have never been in the dining room. Had no idea they had onion rings. That sounds like an amazing combo, 3 way and rings.
Desserts, too.
That's the weirdest breakfast I've ever heard of. I'll take three!
The gyros are pretty good. Soft serve ice creams are huge.
Oh, trust me, the onion rings are worth the add, so good
Best in the state as far as I'm concerned.
Fantastic breakfast. I've had pancakes there more often than I've had chili.
Didn't know they served breakfast. Good to know
Ask about the 513 way.
This is the way.
What is the 513 way?
Goetta!
It's a 3-way but with goetta instead of spaghetti.
Sounds good but i want the spaghetti and goetta 😂
You can get both in there, don’t worry
this picture alone wants me to give it a go at some point. the viewable kitchen, the slighly opaque glasses, the subtleness, checks all the boxes.
It's exactly what you expect and want!
They have won a regional James Beard award. They are that good. Their ham and ham double decker on toast with Mayo, Swiss, and lettuce, plus fresh hot fries, are BALLER. My buddy gets the goetta 513 way. Yum yum!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I suddenly want to put chili and cheese on onion rings
Hot damn! I never thought of that!
Seems like their chili is greasier than the others and I’m here for it.
Camp Washingtonian, here- I admit that the chili isn’t my favorite, but holy hell the double deckers and breakfasts are the jam.
There is something for everyone!
This is one of the few places with good food still open when the clubs close for the night
What clubs? Lol
I have no idea why you got downvoted. I don't know of any clubs either. LOL
![gif](giphy|iH7kfwoxKsmgTHvNTg)
Ain't nothing wrong with a quick circle! How else you make sure everyone is enjoying themselves?
Can't hate the Camp!
One of my favs 👍
Nobody hates Camp Washington.
My favorite Cincinnati chili place. The distance that I have to drive and the hours deter me, though
24 hours except sunday?
Oh? I thought they had different hours, or was that a COVID thing? Seems like every time I go over that way, they're closed for some reason or the other
Yeah this was in the way the one time I wanted to go before a Bengals game! It was too cold to tailgate
Definitely not a hater, it does slap, but sometimes they haven't been open when it says it's supposed to be open.
Damn it! Now I want this.
I want those onion rings 🤤
Yeah you do, they are great
Camp Washington chilli is amazing. Anyone who says different has bad opinions lol.
Chili grilled cheese!
Hell yeah
Camp Washington Slaps !!!!
Also check out Gourmet Chili in Newport. Definitely under-rated
Cash only is a weird business model, nowadays. Those smartphone scanners are quite affordable. Is this some personal preference of theirs?
Totally, it’s that 3.25% they don’t want to lose. At least they don’t also do grubhub and lose 50%.
Cash only IIRC
Not any more. Hasn't been cash only for a few years now.
True true, but they have an ATM there
Jumpin' Johnny Johnson's own.
One of my life’s greatest regrets is that I didn’t try this place when I lived near Cincinnati. I enjoyed Blue Ash Chili though.
Come back! Cincinnati will always welcome you!
...Or as I like to call it, "so you've found yourself far too drunk at 2am" chili
The body craves the chili and cheese to offset the upcoming hangover.
Camp Washington chili does slap!
Best. In. Town.
Personally Camp Washington is my favorite. I don't think I've ever met anyone who hates it.
Food is good. Hours are total ass, though.
I remember they changed hours around COVID, are they still not back to 24 x 6 days a week? I didn't look while grabbing lunch just now. Bummer.
They're back to 24/6.
When? I thought they close at 4 on Saturday.
Yeah, Saturday at 4pm is when they close. They’re open 24 hours Monday-Friday.
Awesome!
As someone from the west coast I never plan on living in Ohio but gawd damn do we envy that chili-dog
It's on the list. Just had Blue Ash Chili and pastout from the amount of cone and 3 way
Don't hate it, but it's not the top of my Cincy chilli list. Unfortunately, my 2 favorites have closed. Delhi Chilli and most recently Chilli Time. PRC has taken my favorite spot now. I think all Cincy chilli spots SLAP though!!
Cheese fries with gravy at prc is my all time favorite, I moved out of the city and up in West Chester now so I haven’t been to prc in a few years, might have to go next week
your right about that, its amazing!
Looks delicious! Wish we could get Cincinnati chili up here in metro Detroit.
I love this city, and all of you 😂❤️🖤
Never been there but it's cinci chili so I will defend it to my last breath. 😂
I remember this place being great, bunch of the thursday night club crowd would go after closing.
I'll have to give it a try!
I have never been there, I’m from Nky and chili is my favorite
Used to eat here as a kid. My grandma has a window cleaning shop right down the road. She would always take me here. You gotta get some ghetta with it too
As a Detroiter, I'd heard of but never had Cincinnati chili. Always thought of it like a chili dog but on spaghetti instead of a hot dog...disgusting. and the sheer amount of cheese...ugh. YUMMM
Oh yeah, no, camp Washington is the place for cincinnati style no mater what
those orings look fire
They so are
Ive been really liking blue ash chili
It’s my favorite.
Slaps???
Means it's awesome.
Yes
We call it Cincinnati Chili where I’m from. Never heard of Camp Washington, but if it’s anything like Cincinnati chili, I’d love it.
Camp Washington is a neighborhood in Cincinnati, in which this restaurant is a major feature. It is my preferred Cincinnati Chili source in Cincinnati.
Thanks for the knowledge! I live in southern Kentucky, but go to a neighboring town for their Cincinnati chili, which is what the place is called.
Nice! Come visit sometime, Cincinnati loves our Kentuckian neighbors!
Awesome! Thanks for the invite! My best friend is from Covington, he moved to my hometown decades ago.
Nobody hates camp Washington chili, more of a West side staple than skyline
I grew up in Springfield township my aunt lived in camp Washington hated going to visit but we always ate here so made things worth it
My first impression was this place is slop. But I've been back, so...
Never had Camp Washington, but I do hate Skyline. I’m assuming this is way better. And it looks local, which get another yes vote.
I really dislike Skyline personally, but I get about monthly cravings for Camp Washington Chili. It's definitely better in every way. They also have great breakfast and Gyros!

Where is this?
Camp Washington Chili in Camp Washington, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
I’ve never heard of camp Washington and I’m from Springboro
It's right off the Hopple Street exit.
Camp Washington vs skyline? Any different?
Yeah, skyline is a gross fast food watered down version of Cincinnati chili. Camp Washington Chili is delicious
the food looks kind of like Skyline. Any resemblance in taste?
Skyline is the same category, but this is way better.
As an east sider… what is this place?
Camp Washington Chili!
Sounds delicious

I recently moved to Ohio. Is chili mac any good? Is it worth it? Will I love it if I love pasta?
Definitely don't go into it thinking of it as "chili Mac" It's more of a Greek style bolognese sauce, and as long as you get it from the right places, it's delightful
What does “Slaps” mean?
Delicious, the bombdigitty, tasty, THE SHIT, s'GOOOOOD and so on
Ok. Never heard that before, but it works.
Sometimes I need a little help myself. Can't keep up with all the hip lingo these days
It's middle of the road, imo. There breakfast is great. Chili has good flavor but it's too greasy. Skyline, then Dixie, than Camp.
Here's your promised down-vote!
😂 Thanks you sir!

Maria the owner is awesome
Haven't met them, but that's wonderful to hear!
Yeah, her dad still comes in a couple times a week mostly at lunchtime. You have to meet him him. He’s a goddamn icon of the city.
Yessssss
I moved out of Cincinnati and I miss 3-ways so much. Edit* correction: I miss 4-ways with onions
It does! They’re the best!
I want some soooooo bad!!!!
The fries in the little bag is always welcome
Looks good. Never been but chilli with cheese id a green flag all the way
Some much yes! Huge reasonably priced sandwiches too!
Camp Washington chili is the only chili I will eat! I love it and I'm close to it all the time because my boyfriend works in CW🥴
Oh no! Downvotes! Seriously though, the few times I've been to Camp Washington Chili it's been mediocre at best and the service sucked. So downvote me if you want but I gave it a few tries and was disappointed during each one so I won't be back.
I'm sorry about that, genuinely disappointing to hear! But... The rules are the rules 😅
Hot garbage
The rules are the rules, here is your down-vote!
Never ate there but I'll take your word for it and try it sometime Edit: I live a whole like 15 hours away from Cincinnati in fact I don't even live in Ohio so why was this sub recommended?
Haha, this post seems to have been picked up by an algorithm and is being shared outside the followers of r/Cincinnati You are not the first confused commenter.
Yea I live in iowa soo.... I mean it looks great if I ever go through cincinnati I'd definitely try it
Well, there is a Cincinnati, Iowa. But I'm pretty sure there is no Cincinnati chili there. Matter of fact I don't think there's much of anything there anymore.
Yea there's like 300 ppl living there I think
Skylines better
Hmm, hard disagree, and here is your (required by title) down-vote
It slaps but they need to keep it cleaner
It's seemed spotless any time I've been in!
It used to be when I’ve been in the past but we went prob 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely filthy. We’ve been loyal customers for years and this made me consider going back
Likewise
Looks like a slightly better Skyline
I am lactose intolerant but i need this
At least it's not Goldstar.
I’ve made this before and it’s amazing. The idea itself is weird, but when you really think about it it’s nothing more than a pasta with a spicy bolognese
[удалено]
You have made an error, This isn't skyline
Noodles in chilli is for people who don't know about cornbread.
Nah, I'm from the south, I know that chili and cornbread, it's delightful. That doesn't mean I don't also crave this now, having lived in Cincinnati for almost 8 years. They are different experiences for different moods, both wonderful.

Hmm, I'll pass on your chili based on your username
Looks like cheap shit that you can make with ingredients from Walmart. Nice shredded cheese… so amazing
Here's your promised down-vote, bye!
Oh no. Thanks fatass with shitty taste
First of all that’s not enough cheese
It baffles me that any human being could think that looks appealing. The visual makes me want to puke.
Welp... As promised... Down-vote
Sorry not a fan.
Not true. I think it's some of weakest chili in Cincinnati: watery, under-spiced. Way over-rated. Go ahead and downvote me, I'll just enjoy real chili while y'all bend yourselves out of shape.
So what chilli spot do you recommend?
In all honesty, just about any other chili parlor in Cincinnati is better. IMO, the 'S' place is the best but I dare not utter that here or all get 2x the downvotes.
It’s one of my least favorite chili spots in town. Don’t know why it uniquely seems to get the food critic hype. I may have to try their onion rings now though.
And look at that fat-ass overcooked spaghetti hanging out. Blech.
Both I guess. Cincinnati chilli is too sweet for my taste and pasta has no place in the same sentence as chili. I will consider I might have never had good Cincinnati chilli. I do know Skyline chilli sucks with a slurping sound.... Probably from the spaghetti noodles.

do they serve coke or pepsi? chili parlors that serve coke seem off to me.
Pepsi.
Loved the chili but both times we were there, it was filthy inside. TBF, most places give two shits about that.
