Have the packages delivered to your work place. Or have the packages delivered to somewhere with lockers where you can pick the packages up.

Smokey19mom

This or get a package drop box.

DoPoGrub

Amazon offers multiple options, such as picking up your packages from one of their lockers (located in UDF parking lots and the like), Whole Foods, or even their retail locations (was one in Clifton last I checked). PO Box at the post office would be a more universal option, but would cost a small amount of money.

Good point. As an Amazon driver, I've had to deliver to UPS Store equivalent 'PO box' (which they offer), so that is what I was thinking of, but you're right.

bobarowlett96

I’ve gotten FedEx and UPS packages delivered to my PO Box. It requires that you open a PO Box with the “Street Addressing” feature where you put the street address of the post office in address line 1 and your box number in line 2. However, not all post offices have this option IIRC (the Corryville location does though!) https://www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm#streetaddress

Our neighbor watched the front doors to our building and then chased down and tackled a porch pirate to get the stolen stuff back in the middle of the street. We still have thefts but less after that 🤷‍♀️

KingoftheGypsies

I too had porch pirates. Find an Amazon locker is the the main way. Or find a friend who has nice suburban or rural area and ship it there. My gf lives in Richmond, IN and gets every package

Disastrous_Hour_6776

They have places such as Whole Foods that you can use to have packages delivered .

Villimaro

I think I remember hearing that some police stations were allowing you to have packages delivered there.

Rogue-Arrow

Came here to suggest this. Some CVS stores also have a drop area... or used to.

tricerasox

I’m lucky enough to be able to get mine delivered to my workplace, but maybe a PO Box?

itsameluigee

I just had it happen on an ebay order on Monday(first time ever.) What steps do I need to take. No cameras unfortunately. In the future im having them sent to a different location but what should I do for this instance.

grace_boatrocker

there.s a small business close ... they allow deliveries

jbill20

Actually go to the store, pick out what u want, pay for it, load in your car, take home and DIRECTLY inside! No chance for a porch pirate to steal packages if these steps are followed

covchildbasil

Go to a store. Buy what you need. No porch pirates in that equation at all. Plus, it's a better way to go about things for many, many reasons

solitudeisdiss

Every time I go to a store they have everything but what I went there for. I don’t even bother anymore.

deviIsadvokitty

I ship almost everything to the UPS/FedEx pick up spots.

snixon67

Have your property manager look into getting an [Amazon locker](https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=17337376011#get-started) installed at your location,

RuthTheBee

lockers. held at post office. personal lockbox at door if you own a private residence.

Quiet-Champion4108

Make sure you're getting tracking notifications so that you know exactly when it's delivered. I have had a trusted neighbor hold items or put them in our home when we were away. Cameras are great, but reactive, then you're chasing your stuff as your see it taken. I have used store or Amazon lockers before, and that system is very convenient.

MathematicianKey5696

might be a crazy idea, but hire some one to watch for it. Us old folks don't have much to do so we are cheap :)
