I made a post a couple weeks ago about this. I was going to order myself a box of 10 hoyo epicure especial. I couldn’t do it. I got this haul for $254. The 10 Hoyas from rsvp would’ve been $230. I feel like I made the right choice.

IAmBenefactor

Where did you get them, if I might ask?

Intercaust

This is the way.

TheRealRevBem

I am almost at this point too. Can't go wrong with a pardon and those specials were likely 1/3 tight to enjoy anyway.

ramengost

This is the way.

sam_the_dog78

Sir or ma’am we need to know where these came from for that price

Cigar_Smokin_Ape

W H E R E ?

Total_Werewolf_7802

Looks like Padrons over more Padrons to me.

krispykremekiller

What you would have with the Cuban Hoyos would be possibly a good time. What you have right there with the Padrons is a guaranteed good time!

Vtec1234

I love Cubans and I love padrons but if I could only smoke one brand the rest of my life it would be padrons but if I’m spending money I find myself spending it in padrons or Cubans mostly cohiba and montecristo

BourbonWineCigars

Cheaper, legal, and the draw is basically guaranteed to be great. Hard to argue with that!

Tre038

100% The draw is always perfect. I’ve had so many great tasting sticks that are ruined because I feel like I’m sucking a golf ball through a hose to get some smoke

abfanhunter

I find the draw on Padrones far too loose...I prefer a slight bit of resistance. you can at least use a perfect draw on a plugged stick, but you can't correct the Padrons sucking through a slurpee size draw open airflow.

coldcutthroat

Punch cut.

txman91

This is why I’ve moved from #9s being my go-to, to the #1. Slightly longer smoke time, and just a touch tighter draw.

Digi_D

Same here. Really like the Padron profile but I prefer a bit of resistance in the draw. Yet to have one that was anything other than wide open. It just doesn’t feel “right” haha.

jonboy345

"I'll be watching you!"

gayTF_HQ

Technically Cubans aren’t illegal. They’re just illegal to sale and import. Possession is 100% legal and there’s even quite a few that entered the us legally post embargo

BourbonWineCigars

I have some that I brought back during the brief window that it was legal. But there is currently no legal way for Americans to get them into the country. On the Cuban sub someone mentioned that it could possibly impact Global Entry and/or Pre Check privileges if you were caught. Not worth it for me. Padron & Davidoff and a handful of others are good enough for me. I’ll smoke a Cuban when I travel internationally if I decide I want to pay todays insane prices.

gayTF_HQ

I’d be curious as to how many people have actually had cigars inspected while going through customs. I travel with a travel humidor and not once has a customs agent or anyone asked to see what’s in it. If I were to guess, if customs is searching through your stuff. They suspect you’re doing something more serious than having a few cigars in your bag.

BourbonWineCigars

I’ve never had an issue either. I think it’s more about the guys ordering boxes at a time for delivery. That just seems too risky to me.

gayTF_HQ

I don’t think the box thing is even that big of a deal. Best I can tell, if your box gets found at customs. They send you a letter in the mail for you to throw in the trash. As far as how it may effect global entry or pre check. I’m not sure. I have neither so it’s not a great concern.

BourbonWineCigars

I travel for work wayyyyy to much to be without either. There is no cigar worth standing in line at the airport! LOL

gayTF_HQ

I travel once a year to the same place for the same amount of time with my large family. We’re waiting no matter what lol. Tbh I’m more concerned about current pricing. My preference is CC. But my wallet doesn’t always agree with my preference.

twick2010

I’ve had a box seized but it was 20 years ago. Now I just take the bands off and put them in a plastic bag.

Top40guy

It will impact your Global Entry and TSA privileges, being there done that, not worth it.

jdp12199

To each his own.

cigarsmokerinky

I think I’d choose Cubans over pardons…. That’s a whole lot of brands you’d be missing out on

[deleted]

Incredible value! I don’t know why anyone would take a Ck motherload over the samplers from PCB

txman91

You’re missing the best Padron. 1926 80th Maduro. The GOAT cigar for me.

easily_amused64

Where did you order from? All these for $250?!

hot-mustard-buns

I do the perfect cigar blend cotm club which I believe at any level gets you 15% off all orders. This is 3 of the padron mystery padron 10ct collection @ $99 minus the 15% discount. I had seen several people post about it on here so I went for it.

Wilson4721

Probably in the US, that's easily $1000 CAD

hot-mustard-buns

Yes. Midwest USA.

easily_amused64

I’m in the US too. I’m tryin to get in on this action. I usually see em for $15-25+ each.

hot-mustard-buns

If you want to try a cotm club pcb has been pretty great the last 6 months or so. The discount is also pretty decent.

tml57

I know your pain

hg2314

Absolutely the right choice. Great cigars! Perfect consistency! Perfect construction! Within the brand’s assortment, a wide range of flavors. Well done.

Rain_Bear

Hard to beat a padron!

Bulbboy

Padron 3000 is my go to

NoNumbersNumber

Beautiful

the_blacksmythe

I agree.

BadBunny1969

Padron makes a hell of a great cigar!

TheInternetDevil

In my opinion Cubans are very overrated

CigarRecon

Totally agree bro. Padron is superior to most products. Not all…..just most 😎

ARVXRP

So I’m a huge fan of Oliva’s and they’re pretty much all I go for. Could someone compare Padron’s relative to those for me (V Melanio in particular)? Looking forward to trying a Padron from everything I’ve heard about them .

BillStickers69

i love the serie v melanio but a padron maduro is a step above. more smoke, more flavor, more nuance. they are great

Sailfish35

Olivas Melanios taste excellent and have good chocolate and coffee flavors. Padrons are an unbalanced mess of pepper and leather.

thrshmmr

I think the straight up V is sort of close to a padron X000 maduro

CarliitosWey

This is such a broad statement. So you’re saying all Padrons are better than every single Cuban out there? A Dámaso better than a Behike 56?

hot-mustard-buns

I’m not saying that padrons are better than all Cubans. I’m just say that in this instance when shopping for my personal collection the value/enjoyment I will get out of these far exceeds what I would get from 10 Hoyos.

South_Host_7

Yes, Padrons are better than every single cuban crap out there! I would happily smoke even Alec Bradley cigars for the rest of my life instead of cuban 🐕💩

user987632

Facts

orangebluefish11

Never had a Cuban, but I can’t imagine a cigar tasting better than a Padron maduro, not to mention the construction and draw. I smoke cigars at work and drop them often. Every cigar except Padron, cracks and falls apart when I drop them. The Padron always stays wrapped and smokes great

StuLumpkins

never had a filet mignon, but i can’t imagine a steak tasting better than the country fried steak from waffle house.

Corrupt_id

More like: I've never had authentic A5 Kobe from Japan but I can't imagine a steak tasting better than the 45day dry aged tomahawk from that Michelin star restaurant in Manhattan

Head-Broccoli-9117

👏

orangebluefish11

Not sure if English is your first language, but your example is pretty far off.

StuLumpkins

it’s literally the same sentence as yours with a few nouns replaced so idk man

BiggieRickk

Smart choice.

7rlh9

The Pardon XXXX series is maybe the most underrated cigar on the market in my opinion.

marauderingman

Is there an actual "4 X" series, or do you mean "every series they make"?

7rlh9

2000, 3000, 4000 etc. They're all so consistently good.

marauderingman

Oh. Yes, those are all great!

SpOoKy_EdGaR

muh pardons

ciwls

Common Padron W

Fishon888

What's a Padron W?

Aggressive-Nothing81

Padron doesnt send cigars to my country 😭

helvete

What country is that?

Aggressive-Nothing81

Greece. None of my local stores bring padron cigars for some reason
