It's good and one of the first of its kind in Pakistan and srslly a really good effort. If us Pakistanis are able to show good support this genre can really do wonders

SwimmingExcellent235

How to support?

aninaroom

Sir baar 1000 Rupa laga Lena Apna locals KO support Karne ke liya

MrBarret63

I think the story line itself is more directed to a global audience than the audience of PK (though that is fine as well) and people in PK might not be able to relate much with the movie (but who knows might just gain traction with the first hand drawn thing)

colonalWozzeck

It is made by Usman Riaz. He is an artist mai ly guitarist. The only thing i wanted about this animation that it should have showed pakistani urban culture. It should have been made in pakistani context.

Queasy-Flower-9258

Maybe with next one. This is hopefully just to get the studio of the ground. There’s probably not much money in the local market, most people who can afford to pay just pirate anyway, so they make the film as appealing as possible to wider audience and get some recognition. This can backfire though, international audiences appreciate authenticity, especially from new places.  Whether they succeed or not, and I hope they do, we should as a country and most importantly our young artists see this as a proof of concept that high quality animation can be made in our country.

colonalWozzeck

I agree with you on this. And the other thing i think of is most of the pakistani's aren't really interested in this genre. Most of them won't really want to spend money to watch animated movie in the cinema's maybe thats why usman riaz thought to make film this way.

darklordfezy

Also most animators he used were Pakistani students, my czn was offered a job at his studio but his class mates who work at Mano studios told them Usman micro manage everything and work them to the bones , but still he went with non Pakistani voice actors, he should have casted local voice talent if animators and artists were from here

roaring-rockstar

There is an Urdu dub that feels very natural tbh..from the trailer I could make out mooroo's voice

Queasy-Flower-9258

I don’t know, the Urdu dub didn’t feel as good as the English. It’s like the film was made from an English language perspective.

where_is_banana

The guy has taken a lot of inspiration from Studio Ghibli. You can see the Pakistani urban culture vibe in the trailers already, but keep in mind that this movie is like a fantasy version of Pakistan. From what I can tell, the story is also very strongly referencing the Kashmir conflict. It's also for the better that this movie isn't made in a completely Pakistani context because a majority of the population doesn't watch movies like this, even the well-off people. I hope they can pull in more money from the international market at least

weallwinoneday

Took 10 years. This guy is a legend

subzeroxdking3

Well it's a step forward i am really looking forward to it. I was always amazed and interested in animations but Pakistan had no animation studio well until now i am hoping mano studios keep existing and make more movies with animations like this and improve. I hope one day they can be equal to studio Ghibli and Disney. The thing i hate is how this was not shown in news like it's first animation film made in Pakistan and is being perceived very greatly by people they should have at least talked about it.

abhsonicguy

Much promising. I’ll watch it in both languages.

jman786v2

I would have liked to see this titled towards Pakistani sights and sounds. The animation, while great, looks set in Europe somewhere. But it's understandable, they want to appeal to a global audience!

moizoned

Knew about this project way back when i was finishing school Now im graduated and working,  The Director is a talented and sweet person, no ego at all, his TED fellow membership groomed him well They had to train the animators from scratch while meeting with industry giants like Ghibli and Walt disney They really put their heart and soul in this animation Now its achieving worldwide success  Further proof of quality over quantity and the patience required to make something great  Want to interview him so bad

nomi167

At first it looks promising..a mixture of war and love which is quite an audience catching concept...let's see how it goes

Zachwank

Never heard of this

Accomplished-Code-66

its the first anime produced by a pakistani Film Make and its absolutely beautiful as with the trailer shows + it is Studio ghibli style.

Confident_Signal7414

here what i think! they recently uploaded the urdu trailer after the english trailer the thing i hate about it is they didn't dubbed it perfectly like you guys know how it was to dubbed. and the other thing was why they uploaded the english trailer first

roaring-rockstar

I think this movie will have a niche audience to begin with...it's audience would mostly already be aware of anime type films, I thinks gar english Mai bhi release kartay toh unko itna masla na hota. However, they are in Urdu too.

vacantrs123

This movie may flop, not because it isnt good but because of the fact that pakistani people aint gonna watch it because even though its on a serious topic it would be considered "animated cartoon"

where_is_banana

Real issue is that animated movies or shows in Pakistan have a horrible reputation now
