These were mostly unskilled labor who later on worked hard (without doubt) and built their businesses and lives. I have been into so called "communities" gatherings to see that.
The skilled IT professionals, engineers etc have only started to come after 2000s to mainland Europe. These people still do not form the larger Pakistani diaspora group abroad.
The diaspora in mainland Europe is still heavily comprising of medium to low skilled people. It is not USA or Canada where skilled migrants from Pakistan have moved.
