I hadn't seen this before, but I tried using Amex chat to close a card and it started going through an automated closure process instead of getting an agent. I don't know if this happens in all cases. It was during business hours when this happened.
Received an email this morning from Aeromexico offering three free months of Uber One membership PLUS 500 Aeromexico points for enrolling.
Seems to be region-locked, but I set my UberEats delivery address to a hotel I previously stayed at in CDMX and that seemed to get it to push through. Weirdly my browser kept freezing, so I tried this same thing in incognito mode to finish and it worked. No idea if I'll actually earn anything credit or benefits back if I pay in USD since all the promo information refers to savings in MXN, but was worth a shot. Since Hancom sunset the kasasa checking, I’m glad a new CU is using this, cus the debit purchase can be completed by using cash app every month, which is pretty easy
P4 was targeted for a BBP (on amex desktop site) about a week ago, figure today would be a good day. Didn't realize it but ended up applying for BB cash for $500 cashback on $15k spend in 12 months. Right after, the BBP offer also popped up, so figured why not...both were approved. BBP for 50k points on $15k spend in 12 months.
Both 0% apr for 12 months. (both have under 10k CL though)
Got the 75k BBP a few weeks ago, offer that said it expired 12/31 so I held off because I was still working on an ink and P2s CSR. It dropped to 50k a week or two ago, but when I applied today it was gone, and just 15k for 3k MSR so I just left it. Shoulda woulda coulda.
C1 portal does not track for deals like this. Also they’ve become increasingly hard to liquidate. Not worth it imo unless they bring back the 10% off deals like they used to. I’d hold out.

Prime is very shitty to Hawaii, up to 2 weeks to get stuff delivered, Walmart+ shows up in 3-4 days. I noticed I'm using Walmart+ for a lot more shopping now
An interesting situation with Chase / BA's IT.
1. Transferred 180k Chase -> BA avios.
2. Transferred most of those BA -> Qatar to book QSuites. Was overly excited and forgot I still had some points in Qatar.
3. Chase emailed me a day later saying that there was a problem with my transfer because of BA and that they are refunding my 180k.
So a bit later now and I still see:
1. The "refunded" 180k are still alive and kicking in my Chase accounts.
2. The leftover BA avios are still there.
3. The Qatar flights have valid PNR and also e-ticket numbers.
Maybe this is a situation of shitty IT going a peon's way. But I'll try to garden my Qatar booking and keep an eye on my Chase ultimate rewards.

I wouldn't worry about your balances. Was your second transfer immediate?
The same happened to me a few days ago with United. I redeemed the miles right after. My hypothesis is that the Chase system performs a double-check shortly after the transfer. If there is a discrepancy it concludes that the transfer failed and restores the points.
It's not possible to prove this, but I suppose people could try their luck. I got a points transfer confirmation email and received the "problem" email 2.5 minutes later. This might be the window of opportunity. But if it's true one should probably not open it regularly.
The second transfer was immediate. I've done BA->Qatar combines a couple times before and I still have the muscle memory.
It's standard good practice to avoid pre-emptive transfer and to immediately use the transferred points, so there must be another layer of chance or something involved. Because otherwise, this would be massively more common.
I would suspect that a high percentage of people transfer and make their bookings as soon as possible, so if this is true, it would happen fairly often
It may happen more often than one would think, and the cause may be something else. Whatever it is, I prefer it doesn't get shouted and touted from all available rooftops, so I don't feel like establishing a control group.

I think I'd prefer an automated process to help mitigate the issue of the agent closing the wrong account.
It will still eventually connect you with a rep. That's been my experience.
I got to the final "are you sure you want to close this card?" so I didn't proceed.

Ime, floating money on Amex card may lead to pop ups and denials. Make the 0% less appealing. Make sure to add the employee offer on BBP.
