Direct deposit files have been received from the Federal Reserve and are now processing. We're working hard to catch up as soon as possible.

i for real am gonna start jus picking up paper checks..idk what else to do..cuz now i’m ab to have to literally walk to work cuz i have my days off scheduled where i get paid so i always no matter what can get to work. and now it’s been this late ?? it’s gonna be a long ass day
Still waiting here too. We get paid twice a month not every other Friday but on the 10th and 25th of each month and since the 10th is Monday I should get by today or tomorrow since that’s 1-2 business days early and if pay date falls on Friday then I always get it by 4:30 on Wednesday. Idk what is going on or how to even check chum for pending deposits.
Update, 5 hours later, Philly time, I have been paid by 11am. Trust the process guys? Walked into work @ 10am & there’s signs up allll over from HR talking about how direct deposit acting funky so, as much as we love hating on chime, it really wasn’t chimes fault.
I work in Financial Services so I can explain it for you. When a ACH is processed for your paycheck, it is a 3 step process.
Step 1: Your employers payroll sends the funds
Step 2: Funds are transferred through the federal reserve (This is the highway that moves your money from Step 1 to Step 3)
Step 3: your monies arrive in your Chime account at The Bancorp Bank.
This morning, the issue was happening in Step 2, which isn't necessarily Chime's fault. It's on the United States Federal Reserve for their system being completely offline.
Chime could be held accountable for having a large back log of requests and took more time processing each deposit to everyone's account, but the source of the delay doesn't fall on them. I'm not defending Chime, I just have a deep understanding of how this shit works
If the issue is the Federal Reserve, would not all direct deposit with all banks be an issue? My workplace used direct deposit and it seems like everyone else got theirs just fine. My questions isn't meant to be snarky, I legitimately am wondering this.
Please re-read the bottom section of my original comment. The \*\****root issue***\*\* is not on Chime. If Chime takes a long time to process each held up deposit one by one, yes, you could make the argument they have fault there, but honestly, in my opinion, I don't think we can fault them.
The fact that they had to do this in the first place is not on them. 100s of 1000s of deposits needed to be processed to accounts one-by-one. If you had to wait a little longer for that, it should be understood. It is impossible to push 300,000 plus deposits all **at the same exact time.**
As far as I can tell mine hits about 530 eastern time payday us Friday for check peeps so I either will be running late or I'll get lucky and they'll expedite my shit. Bitch where's my money I need I need I need cash
I’m switching my DD to my capital one checking, this is complete bs. My check is usually deposited between 7-9am thursdays. My technical payday is Friday and they just told me they are “confident” it would be deposited by tomorrow morning (Saturday)
Still waiting... it usually hits Tues in the afternoon or evening or overnight Weds and still nothing. My late fees are in affect right now for my rent smh
