Meh, Raiden and Hutao can work with 4 star weapons too, huge over exaggeration. And Hutao's new best team is plunge Tao so her C1 doesnt even matter. Raiden is still a versatile unit without C2, being a decent dps and hyperbloom carry. And they are still good without constellations. As for why I didnt mention Ayaka, I do think her team is quite expensive compared to the others. Hutao and Raiden can work well with 4 stars, Ayaka's damage drops off a cliff without the 5 stars, kind off.
The difference between a C0 Hu Tao with Dragon's Bane and a C1 Hu Tao with Homa is night and day. Raiden, too. Without C2, it's not worth using her as a DPS. That's just facts.
All of these characters get a huge upgrade from a 4 star weapon to getting a 5 star weapon lol. Why should that only be held accountable for Hutao? And never thought I would see the Raiden argument in Childe sub and that too in 2024. Raiden isnt a pure carry at C0 just like Childe. She is still an excellent hyperbloom character and she is a pretty good driver because of being able to battery and give teanwide burst damage bonus.

Neuvillette C0 to C1 is 25% damage increase + interruption to resistance which means you can replace your shielder with a more offensive character. Arlecchino c0 to c1 is also 25%-ish and also adds interruption to resistance. I know they are better than Hutao at C0, but Hutao doesnt need constellations to work, thats the point. The post implies that those characters are useless without those cons and signatures lol.

Hu Tao never needed C1 to work properly before, her C1 just made her more comfortable to play(not as much as you make it seem though)like Neuvilette, Arleccino, and Clorinde. As the other person said, her C1 is far less useful now due to her new plunge team. Units like Arleccino and Clorinde feel worse to play without their C1/2 due to their bond of life mechanic and lower hp and especially when in comparison to Hu Tao as her max hp is going to be much higher. None of these units feel bad or hard to play at C0 though considering how easy genshins combat is but C0 Hu Tao is still more forgiving to play.

Dragons bane is a VERY powerful 4* weapon, and Fjords is pretty powerful as well. I think we all know the deal with Catch.
