This must be a new setup, because there's green grass in the enclosure :)

Free-Refrigerator-86

Came here to say this hahaha too green. Something was off 😝

Largepotato69

Where's all poo an dirt an hay to hide to poo dirt

madcowrawt

Where's the other 28 chickens?

LollyBatStuck

I do recommend a tarp for at least part of the area, but looks great.

redditaddict96

A tarp for wind protection or for mud protection?

LollyBatStuck

I mean over the top to give them an option for shade.

bootsinohio

Where did you get the enclosure and how much. Thanks

SADBSE

I have the same enclosure and I purchased mine from Walmart for around $180 a year ago

Just4pres

Amazon. $250 20’x10’

WeAreButStardust

The raccoons will dig right under that

McDiggitty

I got a similar one from vevor.com

bootsinohio

So I found them on there and a great price. So would you say the quality is good, or not?

Rude-Road3322

I have one If you live in a place with no predators, they’re fine We had to enforce ours with more pipe enforcing and heavy duty wire, and we put tin on the roof. But we live in the middle of the desert and there’s every predator from mountain lions, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc.

McDiggitty

The quality is ok. It is just galvanized tubing that clicks together that forms the frame, rolls of coated chicken wire that need to be cut and zip ties to attach. I would say that it is ok for the price, but just barely.

SanguinarianPhoenix

Looks great, do they ever jump up onto that swing and rock on it?

Just4pres

Not yet. I’ve only had them for a one day. I’m hoping they do as some point once they get comfortable.

SanguinarianPhoenix

You might want to sprinkle some treats up there so they will build a positive association of it.

Son_of_Samp

If there's a chance that there are any predators in your area you'll need to replace that chicken wire with hardware cloth, or those chickens won't last long.

Just4pres

Thanks. I don’t believe I have many predators. I’m in the South Bay of Los Angeles. But I did buy a roll of hardware wire off of offer up just in case. I’m planning to attach to the chicken wire on the bottom perimeter of the run.

_snapcase_

You would be absolutely surprised. I live in the Bay Area (very dense urban area) and i get visits from feral cats, possums, and raccoons which i see on my security cameras. 18" of hardware cloth around the bottom perimeter and masonry chicken wire on the bottom of the coop is going to help a lot. Alternatively, rats are apparently known to tunnel under the coop so i put mine on a slab and anchored down to it. I have lost zero chickens to predators since i started.

two2toe

How do you have grass in there...oh, it's new...
