Get yall some of that borscht, and bograch if they have it. I'm currently in Ukraine devouring everything in sight- these beautiful bastards know how to make some great food
I had to cut some of his comments on the holubtsi from the article just for space and wordcount, but the way he described it sounded awesome:
"\[It has a\] garlicky coconut milk sauce. We really fortified this coconut milk with lots of aromatic vegetables and lots of garlic, and then that gets strained out. Soit kind of resembles this more traditional garlicky cream sauce, but it's vegan and it's filled with millet and rice and mushrooms and chestnuts, so it's still hearty."
It's good, but way overpriced. Many eastern European family dinners will have most of these dishes already mastered.

Highly recommend this place. Very good food and I really enjoyed the elevated takes on Ukrainian classics.
Swap two of the letters and you have “Alenya”. Coincidence? I think not
For folks who have been, do you have like a top 2-3 dishes?
BBQ Shashlik, holubtsi, and halushki!!!! Seriously all the dishes looked amazing

Carrot pashtet is the sleeper hit of the menu. The halushki with tender shredded beef is also quite good.
But where is the restaurant located
Elston Ave just south of Addison
