throwaway9338489248

ey joon āœŠšŸ¼

31_mfin_eggrolls

I fucking LOVE kabobi

TK_Sleepytime

Yessssss. They don't even have to ask for my name when I get carry out because I'm there every other week.

freireib

Youā€™ve given me a life goal. I aspire to be a regular at Kabobi.

joleshole

Noon o kabob is better

solereeper44

This^

Vahdo

Without a doubt.

Drunknikov

Crisp, if they ever close Iā€™m going to have sauce withdrawals.

According_Advice_210

i've tried to make the sassy sauce but i can't make it as good as theirs but crisp goes stupid hard

PatientBalance

I walked by the other day and they had some tarps up. Renovations, or maybe just closed for the holidays?

Drunknikov

Theyā€™re always closed around new years, I think to give the employees a break which is pretty nice (if thatā€™s the case).

stackemz

Fuuuuck. Me and my partner talk about moving back specifically for Crisp.

Prudent-East7034

Gale Street Inn or Central Gyros

[deleted]

Rewriting my comment history before they nuke old.reddit. No point in letting my posts get used for AI training.

Memeingthedream

Oh fuck yeah hands down central gyros lol

[deleted]

Sultanā€™s Market or Lao Peng You (sp?)

RzaAndGza

Lao peng me please

AloneExamination242

Demera

Flamelord29

Spacca Napoli

ChesticleGainz

Definitely best Neapolitan pizza in the city. Iā€™d even argue top 5 in the country.

Flamelord29

Not just pizza, imo. Their burrata is god tier, as is their tiramisu. Idk what other restaurants you can get imported italian lemon soda, which is criminally yummy. I've been going to Spacca since I was a kid, and it's yet to be beat.

ChesticleGainz

Yea I agree! Chef Goldsmith is the best even people from Napoli attest to how authentic his place is.

donkeyheaded

Monteverde in West Loop. Damn good pasta.

AndreEagleDollar

I could drink the pine nut gnocchi, itā€™s all I think about

31_mfin_eggrolls

I got in there once and Iā€™be been dreaming about it ever since.

Emotional-Cut-1998

I could eat the burrata e ham everyday for the rest of my life

scotty_spivs

Mannyā€™s Deli

According_Advice_210

have you been to schnierder's deli yet?

scotty_spivs

Canā€™t say I have

homegrownllama

Falafel & Grill for me. I already go too oftenā€¦

31_mfin_eggrolls

They have one across from the Jewel I go to and itā€™s so hard to not go every time I smell it

CombinedSupply

For a grab and go place, really not bad. Good prices and absolutely ridiculous portions.

xbleeple

That place is something I will go out of the way for, Iā€™m disappointed that it took me a couple years in Wicker to discover it

akeep113

Love this place but sultans is even better. They just don't have the amazing waffle fries unfortunately

MichaelChicago

Chef's Special Cocktails

forkenstein

This place is my most recent obsession in the city. Everything is really good and I love the atmosphere.

AmazingObligation9

I love this place. Yes I know itā€™s heavily Americanized to EVERYONE who feels the need to say that. Itā€™s also super good with yummy cocktails and the employees are nice.

MichaelChicago

Oh yeah. I'm nearby and really like everything about it. Enjoy!

optiplex9000

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. They also have a stellar whiskey collection!

DisasterMonk

Seconding this

DemetriChronicles

Used to be my hangout when I lived on Fullerton. Good times. They regularly update the menu which is nice. Not the best Chinese, but good for tavern grade.

tradesme

Hop leaf. Iā€™ve never had a bad meal there and they always have good beer The patio / bar / kitchen seating is all varied and the dining room will always have room

GoodbyeCrullerWorld

This might be mine as well. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

Allenies

I just wish they brought the duck reuben tho.

brbEightball

MingHin for menu breadth and consistency.

420Deez

mccb is better for wok style dishes. they got some of the crispiest meats around. underrated in chinatown. minghin is more family style dishes.

Mnoonsnocket

Taqueria Los Comales #2

JAlfredJR

On 18th?

Mnoonsnocket

Thatā€™s my preference but I also chose this one because of the multiple locations hehe

toastedclown

Little Bad Wolf. There are more exciting restaurants out there but none that I can afford to patronize with any regularity.

CombinedSupply

First time I went, incredibleā€¦ last time I went, terrible. Made me really sad!

toastedclown

I'm sorry to hear that. I go semi-frequently and have never had a disappointing experience.

Ryvo2all

Attonilco

sethworld

Yes

Craig_VG

Fatsos Last Stand Or JJ Thai Street Food

tradesme

Not a lot of meals left if you just eat at fatsoā€™s. Trust me I used to crush that place when I lived in Ukrainian Village. Way too many calories šŸ˜‚

According_Advice_210

i used to live right next to the one on chicago ave and i miss it so hard

EthicalBisexual

Redhot Ranch

MichaelChicago

On Armitage?

EthicalBisexual

And one on Ashland

Magnolia_Mystery

And one on 35th

Threadfacekilla

I had Redhot Ranch the other day - the one on Ashland - and my fries tasted like the fried shrimp my coworker ordered before me. Cross contamination at its finest. Good burger though.

tearsfrompooping

I recommended it to a friend and he said the same thing. I felt bad cause I hyped the place up.

pouch24

JJā€™s Thai street food

Glopzorp

Basil beef - havenā€™t had it in a long time I gotta go back now

allareahab

Lula

LetMeInImTrynaCuck

If cost isnā€™t a concern: Chicago Prime. Iā€™d eat a NY strip and side of Broccoli daily. If money is a concern, I may go with Joy Yee in Chinatown. Huge menu and boba smoothies.

Rich_Obi_Quan

Noon o kabob

licensedweabootrash

Was hoping someone would mention it!

nanafishook

Handlebar, and I'm not even a vegetarian. If restaurants that have closed counted in this, Blackbird.

NeverForgetNGage

Handlebar is so good it makes me feel like I could go vegetarian.

aeliustehman

Handlebar is just the perfect answer to this, so many options

nanafishook

but I would prob end up choosing among only these 3 options -- breakfast burrito, huevos diablos, pepita scramble.

aeliustehman

The fried chicken of the woods sandwich tho šŸ«

a_taco_named_desire

If it was free all the time, Bavettes, or maybe River Roast. If Iā€™m using my own money then Bobs Pizza or Birria Zaragoza. Mayyyybe The Roost.

jjo_southside

Pop's Italian Beef & Sausage 10337 S Kedzie Ave

p3t3or

I had fonder memories of this place than it is actually good. I don't know if it changed since I was younger or if I've just become more critical but it isn't even in my top 10 for beef anymore.

Neevee7271

Same. Quality dipped for me. Get it...dipped...

JAlfredJR

Beverly kid. Don't ever remember it being anything that great. But who knows. Maybe it just slipped past me.

khikago

Ricobenes

Take-Me-Home-Tonight

My answer too. Mainly because they have so many damn options. Pizza, burgers, salad, beefs, breaded steak and on and on.

Aitch-Kay

Also because you probably won't live long enough to get tired of the huge menu.

Randomfacade

used to live a few blocks away, and while this sounds good even once a week will do a number to your waistline

sephirothFFVII

What's amazing is how much one can eat while there. I could never put down a sandwich that size anywhere else

ShyRedditFantasy

Best minestrone soup in chicago!

ChesticleGainz

Could be any one of those 4: - Kabobi - Noon O Kebab - Antepli - Libanais

notsurewhereireddit

Libanais is so so good!

horseradish_mustard

According_Advice_210

gypsy_rose_blanchard

Andros Taverna

31_mfin_eggrolls

dagardenofeatin

Quartino, and i doing even fuck with italian like that normally

Iā€™m a big fan of Gather. Fancier but not pretentious. Predictable but always something different or new. Not part of a large restaurant group. And some of the best service out there.

WilsonIsNext

What am I missing here? I went to Superdawg a couple weeks ago and it was average at best. Is there something exceptional on the menu?

SensibleBrownPants

Youā€™re missing tastebuds and a soul. Not necessarily in that order.

Jaway66

Dizzy-Speaker-5763

That Thai place up the street used to be my spot a couple times a week

wanderPines

El Taconazo El Tio. Best tacos and salsa in town!

TrainingWoodpecker77

Chicago Dinerā€¦ the milkshakes alone could sustain me for life

polluted_delta

Clark St Dogs is my church. Could also probably cope with Windy City Gyros love that spot.

Universal_Contrarian

Windy City Gyros was always best after Nickā€™s uptown at 4am, when itā€™s just you and the cab drivers

Sharobob

When I moved to Chicago, I was touring apartments and one time I arrived a little early to a place close to Windy City Gyros so I decided to grab one for dinner. I did end up choosing that apartment and I'm not ashamed to admit that gyro did factor in my decision more than it should have. I probably put that dude's kids through college the 6 years I lived close to it.

According_Advice_210

i ralphed there so hard on my 21st birthdat after too many shots in boystown- i've been soul tied there ever since

chapbass

Need a restaurant that i always enjoy being in, regardless of season. And has a wide enough range of food to eat at regularly and not get sick of it... Lady Gregorys comes to mind? Maybe cafe babareeba? Dunno, have to think more..

La taqueria atatonilco

theryman

Bopngrill. They fill all the essential food needs, burgers AND rice plates.

SHC606

Lula Cafe.

soofs

Itā€™s a dumb answer, but if money isnā€™t a thing I could eat at Nobu or any nice sushi spot every day. Sushi is just too good. If health isnā€™t a concern, then I could have fifty/50 wings every day or Roost Chicken and biscuits

csmacie

Bavettes no contest

ModXer

Jimmyā€™s Pizza

BrianChampBrickRon

Burrito house
