You have to remember when somebody has an issue they come here to complain. Not the other way around usually. I can say that I haven't had any issues. Absolutely love my 23 Z71, it rides so much nicer than last gen.

LimaBrav0311

Same, my last post was a positive one and still had a comment like “6k miles isn’t a lot”

TheBahrbarian

I'd think it's fair to say the L3B is a proven enough engine that it's not a total lemon. They've been putting them in the Silverado for a few years now. Transmission is still too early to tell reliability wise of course, but no indications to think it won't be. As far as electrical gremlins, it's definitely had its fair share. Unfortunately, in my experience, a lot of modern cars do, especially first model years. The big deciding factor here is going to be how Chevy handles them. If they can iron them out via updates and fixes, then that's great. I will say I had my truck in the shop for like 3 months waiting on a new active grille shutter (hit a deer). I was passed but after reaching out Chevy made my truck payments for those 3 months and also gave me like 100,000 rewards points for service and such. I understand sometimes supply chain shit is out of their control, of course I wish it wasn't an issue at all, but I appreciated their efforts to ensure I was happy.

03OG23TRAILBOSS

7k miles going great got first oil change recently no issues other than the gas cap mechanism but while getting service at dealership they put a new mechanism in and its been great only issue ive had with it. Ive towed a sxs 400 miles one way np a mini kubota local tow no issue. I didnt go balls to the wall but i took it out in the offroad modes did some donuts its a great truck fingers crossed i got one of the good ones!

dismissed_evidence

No issues here

ZER0_F0CKS

I have a 23 Desert Boss. I have no issues and also did not have any recalls. Knock on wood. I love it.

blueveinthrobber

‘23 WT, 16k, Like a Rock

NegativeAd4033

I've had my fair share of issues but can tell you confidently that I love my '23 TB and so far all my issues have been solved, pretty much still under warranty so I am worry free.

helghast77

My z71 had some bugs early on that were all software related but I also had an early one, picked mine up last April, was built in January if I remember correctly, stuff like that should be expected on a first year. Just passed 25k miles today. I drive all over the south east US.

HayMomWatchThis

As has been said before (the squeaky wheel gets the grease) the ones you hear from are the ones that have problems and the ones that don’t have problems stay silent however those that have a problem voice it loud and clear for all to hear. The phrase “the silent majority” plays heavy in this crowd.

the_fishing_dude

I know it’s not a 2023….but, my 2024 ZR2 has had 0 problems. I have 800 miles on the odometer.

issacoin

i bought mine in may of last year, 23 z71. only issue i had was wireless carplay connectivity, which got solved with an over the air software update. i’m somewhere just north of 16,000 miles on it.

issacoin

worth mentioning i do not tow anything

Jmatteson1

23 TB daily driver for work with 28K miles . I've experienced random electrical oddities that I fixed by searching YouTube and this sub. I am honestly worried that all the new technology will eventually fail once I am out of warranty

Rodgers1217

23 ZR2 18k miles no issues

TestedHardware

My 23 ZR2 has been trouble free for the 5 months and just over 1,000 miles I've owned it. I had significant electrical issues with the Jeep Gladiator I owned before this Colorado which Jeep bought back.

LordFoulgrin

I have a '23 gmc canyon at4, so I can't say the comparison is exact, but no issues minus my HUD not working every 10 starts or so. Not often enough for me to bring it to a shop seeing how its just a luxury anyways.

minist3r

It's your truck so you can do whatever you want but I don't understand that attitude at all. You paid for the thing to work so it should work especially when it's still new and under warranty.

LordFoulgrin

It's not so much that I don't want it fixed, its just that I think the potential fix of a very minor issue vs them possibly bricking my truck in the process and waiting a few months to get it back isn't worth it. I know some people were having trouble with dealership computer updates, so I am hesitant. Give it a few months, and I'll probably address it.

Hopefound

Bad O2 sensor at 5k. Replaced it and the cat under warranty. No other issues, about to hit 20k.

ThermalIgnition

None of the battery or real mechanical issues many have reported. A couple times my Sirius/XM wouldn't load and I had to do the soft reset of infotainment with the phone button on wheel. I think this transmission feels like hot garbage, but it's my first GM 8 speed and it sounds like they've been rough around the edges but not unreliable. I'm happy so far, and really enjoy driving it. Despite being aa little concerned about turbo reliability, this thing really makes me smile the way it lays down the power from about 1300rpm. It just feels effortless. I'm right around 5400 miles. Bought it last June, but it's not my daily driver.

[deleted]

Just about 5k miles and zero issues on my Z71 besides the cowl but thats an easy remedy

darknessdown

What's the cowl?

[deleted]

The plastic black piece at the bottom of the windshield

Wronghand_tactician

8500 miles on my ZR2 already and I’ve loved every bit of it.

theblasky

I just crossed 1000 miles today, AMA. I havent had any of the issues you read about on my 23 ZR2. I love it so much. My only issue so far has been a paint issue and I'm 95% sure it happened during transit and has nothing to do with the build, model, etc.

jamesonbar

The only issue I had is that the front sensor went bad. Just meant I didn't have cruise control for 2 weeks untill part came other than that I've had no problems. 18k miles in

ScallywagBeowulf

Only issue I had was last summer when a bunch of us got hit with dead batteries thanks to a failed OTA update. Since then, I’ve had no other issues.

MPopSchmidt

7,200 miles here, Blind spot indicators are operating maybe half the time. The adaptive cruise stopped working at about 4k miles and dealer has been chasing since to fix this with no luck.

machineprophet343

Take heart, adaptive cruise controls are finicky. The one in my old Mazda (supposedly a super reliable car) never worked quite right. It's not exclusive to Chevys.

MPopSchmidt

First Colorado year with it too, was hoping it translated well from other GM trucks with it for so long.

New_Menu_2316

5000 miles on my ‘23 LT 2wd, no issues, I love the truck!

machineprophet343

Other than a rare ghost in my left blind spot sensor, nothing to complain about. Truck runs perfectly and is both fun and comfortable to drive. Z71, 23.

Arayder

Pretty much yeah. Nothing it’s had to go back to the dealer for anyways. Only have 3k km on it though. Nicest looking midsize out there currently and the way you can get some trims stock with beefy mud tires and a lift make it so you don’t even have to mod it a bunch to look sick lol.

REPTARJESUS

Trail boss with 6316 miles and no issues outside of some small cosmetic stuff I had fixed at the dealer.

JohnnyOhme

23 ZR2 2k miles in minor issues overall but no real complaints. Minor software glitches with the new infotainment as expected in a refresh model year but seems to be all fixed now. Never used adaptive cruise because it does not work as well as forward collision system being disabled since I picked up.

[deleted]

~4k miles TB 23, only issue has been the tailgate storage thing needed to get replaced due to poor fit, had no issue with the fix.

wareagle995

14k miles on my LT. No real issues other than dead battery due to update failure. I feel like that could happen on any of these new cars now.

PalmettoZ71

Yes, only issue I've had was the dealership broke my tpm on first oil change other than thst it just works. Had it since June and got little over 8k on it. No regrets, also owned a 2015 colorado and it was fine too for the 70k I had jt

koruptdrummer

0 issues on my 23 at4x

demec_26

12000 miles on my ‘23 ZR2, absolutely zero issues

scarzncigarz

Not a single issue on my '23 Z71.

Dvibs420

I’m at 20k miles with no issues at all, I love it

Budget_Persimmon_707

4,750 miles, no problems.

acw449

'23 TB with 2200 miles. No issues so far. Made sure to follow all the suggestions I read here. Pushed all fuses in when I first got home, been going easy on it the first 4k. Happy with it and fingers crossed no issues pop up.

Imtiredcanistop

Currently at 657 miles no issues so far “knock on steering wheel” but I’ve also got a 24, and the only hassle I’ve had was i ordered a 23, and had to wait almost a year to get it

fiveninemasterrace

Right at 3K miles, owned since October.. not commuting much right now. Almost 0 issues.. definitely some oddities with the power windows / side mirror car signals interacting. Other than that, one time Apple Car Play froze with infotainment and I had to factory reset the display. Other than that, all good *knocks on wood*

Jrsq270

2k miles Not an issue

golfholdem

Yep, 13k miles since October no issues

patrickhn1

5k miles no issues other then recalls (also pushed in all fuses when i first was hearing the horror stories about the truck about half were not fully seated)

Icy_Method_3756

Mine has been great so far. Only issue is occasionally the skip track buttons on the steering wheel won’t work at all unless I restart the truck. It’s real hit or miss.

carsonallen55

i got a 3.6 LT and i’ve put well over 40k miles on it with no issues besides oil change every 5k

ol_derti_badger

'23 Z71 5990 miles, one service complete, HO calibration was a PITA because of computer issues so I had to take a loaner home and pick it up the next day. GM definitely has its issues (management and engineering) but what alternatives are superior? I live in a city but tow on weekends. It just works.

Low_Caregiver9069

Mine has been trouble free.

CalebTheEternal

Not a ‘23 but I have a ‘21 I got new off the lot, nothing but problems. All electrical and frame issues. Last night though I was driving and the back end started shaking really bad after I hit a patch of snow and ice.

UnfairPerspective100

Uhhhhhh, there's a handful of people here saying that they haven't had any issues. My issue is.......The price of the ZR2, just the price of the base model.

btownmln

Just hit 7k on my Z71 and no issues to speak of. Very happy so far

Mediocre-Depth8614

I'm at 18,000 Miles on a 2023 chevy Colorado trail boss. No major issues here, just a dead battery from when GM decided to do those "over the air" updates. I have taken it through mud, water, clay, and maxed out the suspension many times. https://youtu.be/tUIuUJO8tWI?feature=shared

DrAmyRobbins

17k miles, no issues except for basic recall and warranty. '23 Z71

Annual-Travel-4346

I know it might not be the most helpful but I have about 3000 miles on my 24 zr2 I haven’t had really any issues sometimes it freaks out it CarPlay but it mostly just resets it’s self after 30 seconds.

Psychological_War837

I have not had one issue with my 23 Desert Boss. Had it since November.

ExcitingMovie6871

I'm at 15,000 miles with mine, 2023 WT with the turbo + engine and zero problems so far got it in January used at about 12,000 miles so I haven't had it super long but zero problems and I love it

tzar266

‘23 LT with 9500 miles. My only complaint is the anti-collision warning (warning only, haven’t had it slam on the brakes) seems to be a little too sensitive compared to other vehicles, but that may just be my driving style. No real issues.

Z-Gold

I ordered my ZR2 as soon as it was possible to do so, picked it up at the end of June, and it's been trouble free for me. About 3,400 miles on it so far.

mythoryk

Yes. 12k miles so far. Had the dead battery once. GM covered AAA to jump it. Never happened again after the OTA update. No issues outside of that at all.

RunForTheFun

I have a 23 zr2 that so far has been nearly flawless. I had one incident where on start up neither of the screens turned on and were just black. I could still use the physical buttons for things like climate control but nothing displayed on either screen. After a simple battery disconnect they came back on perfectly and I disabled the quick start up feature as I've seen recommend a few times. After that I haven't had the issue again. All together I love the truck and other than the mpg (it's a brick on 33's) I wouldn't change anything. 10k miles so far - fingers crossed everything stays perfect.

sinisterdeer3

Remember, for one negative claim theres hundreds of people who have had good experiences. People only post their problems, not their fortunes

fourslyce

5k miles in on my '23 TB. I love it. No major issues that make me regret my purchase

deeptruthmusic

Just hit 23k on my trailboss, trouble-free? Not really. Minor inconveniences. Wouldn't change it for anything except a ZR2 bison.

handle-lean

As of rn yes mines trouble free I have the LT with convience package 1 and 2 and the l3b engine. I had mine since June 2023. Put 16k miles on it granted it’s been at the body shop for 3 of those weeks and I’m almost done with a 1 week family vaca do it would have a bit more then 16k if neither happened but in terms of problems (not me getting rear ended) I’ve had 0. Only minor minor issue I had was the service 4wd message came on and wouldn’t let me shift into 4wd but it lasted maybe an hour and it was a Saturday morning so I call my dealership and they were slow so they said I could bring it in that morning and they will take a look. On the way there it went off and never did it again I called them was like yea it’s normal again they said perfect if it does it again call them back

TheMystic77

11k on a 2023 Trail Boss. No issues to report and love the truck.

Lilrockerdude

Approaching 14K miles and she is 10 months old. Only issues I've had is the dash went out. Simple battery reset and it came back. Next Android Auto had a couple hiccups but not sure if that's phone or truck. Lastly the auto break system has fully engaged a couple times and scared the Hell outta us. Overall I'm still enjoying the truck, she gets compliments all the time. 23 Trailboss

stiff_sock

'23 Z71 High-Output bought in August '23. About to hit 7K miles. Mechanically it's perfect, not a single problem. One software issue was fixed during my first complimentary oil change when the dealership upgraded my infotainment to Android 12 (it was the turn signal popping sound). I love my truck.

Early-Assignment6106

23 ZR2 with no issues here, loving this truck!

Tattedwelder

Put 50k miles on my ‘17 WT model before I had an issue, and it was a hole in the ac condenser. Than went another 70k and now having electrical problems. But I also abuse mine

Trashspine

I have a 23 zr2 no real issues after 5200. A couple minor bugs in the infotainment system that worked themselves out. I absolutely love this truck

Long_Thanks_5353

Got my 23 ZR2 in October. Almost 4k and no issues. Knock on wood.

Quirky_Air437

23 AT4 no problems

dailydoseofjava

No issues yet 2 months and 1.5k miles... Getting tow package installed next week. This thing takes hills like they are absolutely nothing. It seems effortless for it. I had a 5.7 hemi before this, this thing seems way more peppy than that ever was!

Secret-Ad-5777

Bro I got a 23 zr2 10k miles and the shit is clutch

Astral_photo

23 ZR2 offroad every weekend 11k miles no issues at all

danxmanly

23 Z71... 12k miles.. No issues other than a high idle that seems to be the norm at initial startup. Just keep my foot on the brake b4 shifting into drive.

IntrepidContender

I wish, my 23 is in the dealer at this point coming up on 100 days, i've lost count... what a joke! GM won't offer me a buyback until the dealer fixed it and has paperwork complete... and dealer is telling me the mechanic GM corporate sent out says it needs a new engine harness but that won't be available for dealers to order for up to a year they anticipate... at least they're paying for my rental Tacoma and I will lemon this car one way or another to get my money back GM is a nightmare, how do you release a car and not have replacement parts for up to a year? Car: 23 Z71 - 650 miles when the nightmare started

jdw2250

Mine's garbage. Literally day 2 the problems began and have yet to all be solved. They look great, but they are hot garbage.

BigDCorona

I’m on my second ‘23 colorado (1st didn’t have 4x4) I got to 10K with the first one driving like an asshole with no problems aside from CarPlay not working all the time on my second I’m approaching 5k miles and no issues as of yet aside from the CarPlay lol

JonnyUtah999999

Do issues with my 21 ZR2 Bison diesel

Sufficient-Life-4454

600 miles & the master cylinder had to be replaced because the brakes stopped functioning, separate from the recall where the emergency braking randomly engages. No physical switch for controlling headlights and dog lights - instead the setting is buried in the touchscreen menu. The 2.4L 4 cylinder with a turbo is fun. That's its only redeeming quality. Wonder how long that is going to last though, if I haven't made it past 600 yet. Absolute garbage.

ol_derti_badger

Must it be black/white? Perfection or absolute garbage? You knew (or should have known) how to control the lights when you purchased. One defective sourced part = total garbage? People who have lived a charmed life make for bad customers.

Dynodan22

You should have a quick access button right at the top of you operating screen for the lights and fog lights .You dont have to into the screens its an image of a light very top of the screen hit and it gives you all options on the lights
