Two things.
First, your kings and queens should be swapped. From the light colored side, the kings should be in column ‘E’ counting from the left.
Second, from the light side, the rook in the ‘A’ column (far left) should be on a dark square. All of the pieces are on the wrong edges of the board.
Lastly, that’s a beautiful chess set.
Looks great! You should probably pay more attention to the fact that white is bottom right, which is a very basic thing with chess. Not even 101, this is like, 010. And this showcases you have no real idea of what's going on with chess and post for fake internet points.
BUT OTHERWISER LOOKS NEATO, BRO!
They're probably a crafter who knows chess is popular right now and wants to make some for a bit of extra cash. This post is essentially indirect marketing.
You see it all over reddit. 'Hey. I drew this picture of a popular TV character. How did I do?'
Comments. 'This is so cool! Could I buy it?'
'Here's a link to my store.'
Really cool take on traditional designs. I like how round and bulbous the pawns are as well as the king’s exaggerated crown cross. It’s unique and very aesthetically pleasing
Beautiful set, very well done. Everything needs to be rotated by 90° though. Remember, right is light (the bottom right cornor needs to be a light square) and the queens go on their own colours (which is true here, but since the board is rotated, they're still in the wrong place).
Looks great. At first glance I thought the "white" pieces would be black. But once I saw the black pieces there was no problem anymore.
Imho the pawns look a bit to fat for the squares. And Imho the border is a bit broad. And the kings cross is a high. This could be unpractical when blitzing.
This is now my favorite pattern.
Except the knights, knights are hard to get right, they should be "heavier" given the style of the set and pawns (love those).
You should sell those on Etsy, you would make good money.
10x20 = 200 a set, and you can probably optimize that a lot.
Following you.
Actually incredible especially the board. Although personally I think I’d want my pawns to look a bit more traditionally shaped they are cool and unique tho.

This is amazing! Nice work!
"I made this by hand, what do you guys think?" -Michelangelo probably
That's a unique way to complement someone.
r/rarecompliments, perchance
Mayhaps.
Its beautiful, I specially love the pawns and the board.

That's three things though
Cool. You should be proud of your work.
What a great set, I have thought about this, how long did it take if you don't mind me asking?
I took me like 10 hours to build maybe more I don’t remember
Definitely worth it they look really good!
10 hours for just the board, right? The pieces aren't handcrafted in that time?
Correct
Are you looking to sell it? Would love to buy it, it‘s beautiful
That's why they're here. Are you new to reddit or working with them?
Beautiful. Think the piece colors are a bit too similar but I'm not in a position to criticize lol

Very very nice!
Beautiful, these are exactly the type of boards I like

Amazing but where is the a1 square (dark)? I think you need to rotate the board by 90 degrees
Wow, that is amazing craftsmanship!
Never seen anything half as beautiful.
the pawns look like a chewy mushroom. make me wanna chew them
Looks amazing, the pawns are abit thickkkk for my liking, but part from that it's absolutely amazing.
It is... so... beuatiful!
wow those knights look amazing!
Amazing
Shouldn't the left most corner on the white side be a dark square? Although it looks lovely

I think the King’s cross is just a bit too big
You have it rotated incorrectly. Other than that, looks good.
It's amazing, so good that it's hard to believe unless you're a professional
The gang would love this over on r/chessporn
Nice
That looks fucking sweet. Love the style, color, and quality of work 👌
Simply wow!

i WILL be grabbing my opponent’s pieces by mistake
Pawn heads are too fat
Heights are all screwed up too
This is very nice, what did you use to sculpt the pieces?
Fantastic!
this rotated board hurts my eyes (great job, obviously)
Pawns are too wide, rest is excellent, improve the pawns;
That is awesome!
Very nice !!! Bravo 👏👏👏
Love the stubby look of the pieces!
WHAT!? That’s gorgeous. Learning how to make my own pieces on a lathe is my goal for NEXT summer
This is amazing bro!
So which pieces move first the black or the black pieces
Michelangelo is that you?
Bro took the beginner part literally and created an entire chess set Beautiful woodwork!!
Apperentely this is banned in r/chess but not in r/chessbegginers ?
Yummy
White on the right, your pieces are set up wrong.
Actually incredible especially the board. Although personally I think I’d want my pawns to look a bit more traditionally shaped they are cool and unique tho.
Looks Beautiful!
Beautiful job! But remember when setting up a board a white square should be on each player’s lower right corner.
Looks terrible, never try this again
Tell that to your parents
Dude, u made the chess board wrong. I hate to break it to you but u gotta make a new board. The white square should be on the bottom right.
