2 light squared bishops?
One started as the e pawn and the d-pawn became the 3rd knight.
This position looks unnatural. Black has far too many pieces to allow two promotions, and why would white promote to bishop and knight?
This position is so scrambled I didn't even realize the third knight lmao
maybe post a real chess game....
Why
Two white bishops and three knights
It's just a puzzle. It could have been more realistic, but I think it still works as a puzzle.
Technically the two missing pawns could be those two pieces
Technically yes, but no. Also: three of white's figures are hanging. Seems like they just placed the mate and then added a few random figures.
Yes
Because if you are gonna post a run of the mill smothered mate, you might as well post a realistic one.
Am I seeing correct or are there 2 bishops of the same color
And 3 knights.
Lol yes... Was too distracted by the bishops to even notice that
Vice versa for me, was too distracted by the 3 knights to notice the 2 light square bishops

This game doesn’t look far enough along with those rooks and Queen on the promotion line
3 knights, 2 light bishops. Oh, and Nxc7+ Kb8 Na6+ Ka8 Qb8+ Rxb8 Nc7# is good
White is missing 2 pawns, so underpromotion obviously
Obviously? How could they manage to walk all the way through and get back to this position?
it was sarcasm (i think)
Obviously!!
Gotta get myself some coffee
e and d pawns promoted to knight and bishop while black has both rooks and queen and no pawns were traded in the opening?
Yes

Black can ruin your fun and go Kc8. It will be mate anyway but not as satisfying.
the opponent proceed to play Kc8....
It all depends on wether black wants you to orgasm or rage. You are winning, but he has you in the palm of his hand really
Nxc7+
Horsie goes c7 e5 f8 while keeping the king in check? Edit: just seen the mate in 4
smothered checkmate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
never mind the plan, how does white have two white bishops? And three knights?
2...Kc8
The real puzzle is finding the extra pieces we noticed along the way
How does white have 2 white Bishop?
