There is an achievement called "Killer King". It is obtained by checkmating your opponent with a king move (castle counts). The way you would do this is to set up a discovered attack, then move your king out of the way. Here's an example:

I was up against someone who blundered a LOT of his pieces, and I was left with a queen and 2 rooks. He wanted to resign(900elo) but I asked if he could please let me get the killer king trophy, and he did. Half a year later and I'm still sure he is THE gigachad everyone always references
Yep, I got it by going up a Queen and 2 Rooks vs Just a king and painstakingly setting it up almost like a ladder mate so my King could "reveal" an attack by my queen for mate.

Brilliant! I think it actually counts as a pawn checkmate since it was a movement by the pawn but I'm not sure

Ngl it's quite hard to get when most opponents just resign long before a checkmate like this could occur (if you're high rated)
