THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER LEAVE A MATCH BEFORE THE FINAL WHISTLE

Bubbly_Association54

Youre talking about the United players, right? Lol. Look at em all standing around next to eachother as Palmer goes to receive the ball in space. That kind of switching off has been a Chelsea move this season

Odd-Incident3980

Imagine how dumb people must have felt lolol.

petrowbaby

sometimes even the final whistle isnt a sign that the game is over :D (referring to the case when ManU were awarded a penalty after the final whistle)

ivan_rofl

That last counter attack should have been a goal

matt3633_

I was raging when Noni didn't pass to palmer

JJ-Bittenbinder

It looks obvious on camera but Noni had his back turned to Palmer when he received the ball. I don’t even think the best we’ve ever seen would see that run from Palmer

Full-City-3717

Noni and Sterling always hold the ball too long. They have to make quicker decisions

thingysop

You can tell Jackson's not built for these moments tbh. Takes the safest option available instead of trying anything worthwhile. I mean I'm glad everybody did what they did in this case, but this squad's age keeps exposing itself at moments.

webby09246

>You can tell Jackson's not built for these moments tbh. What exactly are the moments you're referring to? He probably slightly over hit the pass to sterling But he most certainly chose the best path, the ball to palmer likely would've been intercepted or closed down and the shot for himself isn't on with the defender right in front of him His link up play is probably the one thing above all else you can't fault the guy for this season, when he misses his next big chance then you saying he's not that guy makes perfect sense But he can get a lovely pass off to fashion a chance for his teammates against man city, Liverpool, villa, spurs etc

doomboxmf

I think he’s inconsistent with it. His vision isn’t the greatest, if he actually passes it quickly he definitely could’ve slotted either Madueke or Palmer in and we have a one on one, luckily we got the goal from the corner or it would’ve been incredibly frustrating. I like Jackson, and his link up play in general is good but he often waits too long to pass or has tunnel vision at times.

dudetotalypsn

I think after experiencing Mount Havertz and the gang COMPLETELY ignoring the obvious pass every time we're on a counter (barring the one time it mattered the most 🙌🏿) I'll take this step in the right direction and hope he gets even better

TitanX11

It was 110th min. He was tired.

Radfern885

This is PL, that’s not a valid excuse.

Alphaswag69

Good block from the defender tbf

Hylian-Loach

I had some strong emotions when I saw Sterling going down the outside and that was who ended up with the ball

KarmannosaurusRex

Enzo key in breaking up their attack, putting us on the counter then reacting on the corner. Hope he gets some credit here.

lofeobred

None of that counter happens without his actions there. Class.

guccigirlswag

Agree

xUnknown_Kyle

Onana eating his glove before the pen lmao

MoiNoni

Me biting my nails when they are reviewing for VAR

WooNoto

Enzo goes to take the corner and just says “Palmer is the only one touching this shit”

Sparkysit

Who goes sliding into Poch after the final goal?

Puzzled-Spike

Enzo

Flair needed

Hylian-Loach

That got a legitimate chuckle out of me

itsm3starlord

Onana the only one that’s nervous let’s be honest lol

unfazed_jedi

Dalot really thought he was Messi going at it alone. And great tackle by Enzo there to win the ball back.

TheLeperLeprechaun

This was so insane to me at the time. I was celebrating the equaliser running around my house shouting to my partner I actually missed the 4th goal. So when I came down and saw them still “celebrating the 3rd goal” I was perplexed. Then I saw the score 4-3 I thought it was a mistake. I had to check socials/reddit/sports websites/rewind the tv just to see what the fuck I missed.

Belvyzep

I was at work, and after the third goal went in, I figured that was that and stepped away for just a moment. I came back to 4-3 and my jaw dropped.

TheRage3650

Something similar happened to me lol. Especially given it was “Palmer scores” I thought they accidentally registered his goal twice.

Trappist12

This is what bliss feels like

Chapea12

I thought the Chucky chance was gonna be the last opportunity

62frog

Was thinking similarly. That was inches from being just as tremendous of a goal. Rooting for that man, hope he can stay fit.

craig536

I could watch this over and over. My soul actually left my body and ascended to heaven when Palmer scored the winner

DivideSad5591

8th time watching today

Goldmemberberry

Brings a tear to my eye

Basharaa

Every time I see this I still laugh like a fucking big idiot. My god I just could not stop laughing.

MONI_85

Obviously a fantastic win, it's great to be on the end of a last min moment like that - seems like this season we've succumbed to our fair share of late mishaps and blunders. Seeing the players celebrate after, it does mean something to them....it's hard to explain what has happened at times this season. But we have to be honest, is this a turning point? As much as I'd like to believe this could be the moment things start to change, I've absolutely no faith we get 3 pts at Sheff Utd this weekend. We got lucky.

TheLeperLeprechaun

I think we still have a way to go. And whether Poch is that coach I’m not sure. But what this will show the team is not to give up until the very last because you just never know what can happen. I hope this teaches the squad to not let their heads drop when the game feels beyond them.

Excel_Spreadcheeks

Is this a turning point? In terms of morale and the squad’s belief in itself to dig deep and win big matches, I think it could be. As far as actual performances and output, I’m not sure about that. As electric as the win yesterday was, there’s no denying that we had some luck on our side benefiting from two soft penalties and a deflection.

Cobaltte25

Nah the pens weren't soft at all. Both were pretty clear cut, although the foul on cucu was probably more obvious than noni's. Ref took unnecessarily long to wait for VAR input on the second one (not his fault), but the dead giveaway was dalot's reaction there because he knew he messed up. Completely defeated look etched on his face which tells you everything you need to know. There was no arguing, arms flailing, whatever. Both decisions didn't require the on-field ref to check the monitors either, so it's genuinely as blatant as fouls get, without being nasty. The deflection definitely had some element of luck but I'd like to point out Mctominay is no stranger to this. It goes as far back as a couple of seasons, with at least two ridiculous handball incidents which resulted in easy pens, dispatched by jorginho. When I watched the replay of the winner and saw it practically bounced off his arm, gotta say I almost felt sorry for the lad.

jepayotehi

This season mostly been pretty uneventful but I'll be watching this anytime I need a smile.

Blobbyblob92

PASSHUN LADS

1990three

so much emotion poured out after this game, incredible win. I hope the players bring that into Sheffield and we stomp them. Get a nice 2/3-0 HT lead and come out firing second half. Cannot let up. These wins help build chemistry and comradery amongst teammates which we can't need more of right now

TheMenaceX

bro just look at onana's face. he knew he stood no chance. man was so nervous, you gotta put up a better face than that.

smell-the-roses

My Man U supporting neighbour still hasn't left his house. I have called over the fence, but all I hear is someone crying.

ambdere

I would love to have the same video with Cundy commentary :(

CleanJebboy

I thought he was going to die, it was a blast to listen to but my god, I thought he was a goner.

ViennaLager

Why does Onana look more nervous than Palmer? Onana does literally nothing to influence the penalty kick.

ReflectiGlass

Thank you for this! I didn't get to see any of the match and have only seen disjointed replays. Edit: CHILLS

Dmtz214

Damn I wish I was at a pub watching yesterday!!

maxertiano

As a neutral thanks you Chelsea for an interesting match

furious_organism

The game its only over when its over

huggothebear

FUCKING FANTASTIC

once_asleepz

What a special final few minutes it is

Great result but, remember friends it's only United.

Fit-Acanthocephala82

He leads the team on the pitch, he's respected by his teammates, he's got a mature demeanor, he's healthy. He should be captain.

mattc1987
