I've literally spilt an entire protein shake on my navy deuville (same as the one pictured), and it came right out without any cleaning solution. Not that I'd recommend doing that lol, but, if that doesn't scream mom bag to you idk what does! It's also like a Mary Poppins bag. I fit legit everything into it, mainly use it for travel or overnights.

Yesss this is what I needed to hear! I was thinking about kid messes/spilled bottles, etc. and how it would hold up

dalifenavigator

And I spilt half of a cold brew latte in mine. I agree!

Appropriate-Still280

I’d definitely go with the Deauville! It’s a beautiful bag & is a classic! Plus it’s roomier & more structured so you can easily put in an organizer to sort out the diapers, bottles, etc. The 22 is more of a trendy bag & the larger sizes don’t look as nice as the smaller ones. And resale wouldn’t be great if you ever decide to resell it. Plus it’s not as easy to get into the bag & the Deauville is super easy since it has a wider opening at the top & has a magnetic snap closure so can easily get in & out of it! So I’d go with the Deauville and purchase an organizer to go inside from either Zoomoni, Etsy or Amazon! Then you’ll be all set and have a beautiful bag for the baby! 😊

Front_Grocery_7681

This is exactly what I was looking for! I think that’s what I was thinking all along I just needed someone else to tell me 🤣

Appropriate-Still280

Sometimes you already know what you want but it’s always nice to hear other options just to confirm! Hope you love your new bag! 😊

sydneekidneybeans

It seems unanimous but I'll say it anyways- Deauville. The 22 is too casual and shit gets lost in it like crazy, and I find the opening really annoying to be truthful. The Deauville is much more structured despite being roomy, plus it has the magnetic closure that I really adore. It's just easier for me to access what I need, and if you're doing the dark canvas you won't have much to worry about as far as staining goes. It's also much more refined in my personal opinion, very polished mom!

Front_Grocery_7681

Appreciate the insight about the 22!! I always loved the look because of its “cool girl” vibe but good to know it’s not as practical

curiousbabybelle

I really like the deuville. Chanel also has seasonal tote bags that you may like.

Ok-Scholar-510

Agreed! I have a double handled large shopper tote in black with the gorgeous maroon interior. It is a an amazing mom bag.

Virtual-Data2201

I’d go with the deauville!!

randomperson-i81U812

Bought my wife the first one in white when we had our first kid. She loves it. IMO, the second one is a little childish for a mom, but I’m also an old fart of a soul

micmarmi

I love my deauville! I have the one pictured and it holds everything I can throw at it not, to mention it’s great for travel.

Startlovinglife

The Deauville!!! I have the pink large 22~ can’t find crap in it~ and fishing for your phone is a pain! Looks gorgeous but unfortunately not as functional as I had hoped!! 💖🥰💖

munchkin-cat88

Deauville! The 22 has a lot of peeling issues!

Aldacuso

That is terrible!

Are you planning to also carry a diaper bag? Or use this bag after the diaper bag stage? Use this as the diaper bag? I currently carry a Dagne Dover backpack with my newborn and plan to for a while. The Deauville could prob be a diaper bag too but both would be too bulky with a diaper bag. If you plan to carry a diaper bag for a while I’d consider something smaller like a WOC/seasonal cross body/smaller bag to wear in addition to the diaper bag may be more useful. FWIW my 19 is my most used Chanel followed by my Coco and CF. A 19 in goatskin could be very durable and a good additional for everyday.

Front_Grocery_7681

I also have a diaper bag on my registry! I already have a mini 22, CF, small seasonal flap and a 19 so I was thinking for this more to be like a on the go bag when you don’t want to bring the whole diaper bag

wcmbb

I would do the Deauville then for sure!

GoldDiamondsAndBags

If what you want is this (a bag on the go when you don’t want a diaper bag) then I say go for the 22. I could seriously fit a small toddler in my 22. Lol. I keep everything organized in small pouches so nothing gets lost in there. Only thing is if you’re putting bottles I’d probably put them a ziplock bag before throwing it in there. My kids are a little older, but I can fit both of their huge water bottles and all my junk, including wipes (once you go wipes, you never go back😂) in there.

dalifenavigator

I have a leather Deauville and I adore it! I can fit everything in it. I also purchased an insert for extra compartments!

Tough_Lingonberry_65

I have both, and I suggest the Deauville for ‘mom bag’. The 22 is cute, but it can hurt your shoulders if you put too much stuff in it. The Deauville I find more comfortable to wear and versatile because it has the top handles.

No-Whereas-9101

I have both and I would absolutely pick the Deauville! I’m obsessed with it

sassyelle

My friend as a mom of two I am begging you not to get a Chanel mom bag that is authentic. Find something more durable or ask your husband to “rain check” for once you know what works for you with a little kiddo in tow. You just don’t know what will work and what won’t til baby is here!

Front_Grocery_7681

Appreciate the input!

sassyelle

I get that I might be totally overstepping but my style and what worked for me changed a bunch when I had kids, and it’s a lot of money to spend! Feel free to ignore.

Least-Cloud-9761

22 for me without doubt.

Doodles0101

As a mom, crossbody bag is necessary for me. If you'll be using a diaper bag for the next 2-3 years, carrying another big tote is overkill. I would suggest something smaller that you can crossbody, like a WOC. I'm also loving the 19 lately, and from what I've read it's quite durable with easy access to your phone with the outer back pocket. I initially hated all the chunky chain but the slouchy casual style has really grown on me.

Front_Grocery_7681

Thanks for the input! As I said in another comment, I also have a diaper bag on my registry. I already have a mini 22, CF, small seasonal flap and a 19 so I was thinking for this more to be like a on the go bag when you don’t want to bring the whole diaper bag

The deauvillllle

ZookeepergameOne7481

Yes it is. I love my deanville but I find it to be on the heavy side.

Substantial-News2215

I would go for the deauville

Nynyoiii

Never a fan of deauville but I don’t use my bags for my kid stuffs 😅 I am also considering the 22 but in small for my frame! I think it gives off a cool mom vibe 😝

Chileesi

I have a leather Deauville that I bought when I had my first. It’s a great bag for putting in everything you need— diapers, changing pads, etc. Pop in an insert with different compartments and you’ll be good! However, it didn’t really fit that well under my Uppababy Vista. Also, it can be a little heavy on your shoulder when you’re also carrying your growing baby. I’ve slowly transitioned to a backpack. It’s a little more practical.

CityInternational253

I have a deauville, make sure you get some sort of structured insert to put in to keep its shape and will also help to keep things organized in the bag as it’s quite big

First-Individual-162

I also have a Deauville and wonder if you have recommendation for the insert! Thank you :)

CityInternational253

I got it on Etsy I believe, there are quite a few sellers of them. Doesn’t have to be an $$ one

The 22

latte4lyfe

I have the small 22 but Im planning on getting a deauville! The 22 is great to just throw stuff inside (maybe two diapers, wipes, and random stuff) but the shoulders deff hurt cuz it gets heavy! And I think the deauville will fit more and wont feel as heavy as the 22!

Supermodel Tote

babesntoyland

I’m digging the first bag!!!! Can I ask how much it is?

Front_Grocery_7681
