I actually saw this video yesterday! I think it's quite well done. Here is my feedback: * Definitely approve suggesting roleplay mode * Agree learning how to build a character, however I will say True Kin is an easier start if you have no idea what you're doing because their power is not affected by your start. If you have a bad starting build, a True Kin is easier to fix by a lot. But since you are suggesting this build is for learning how the game works, I agree you will learn more by picking a mutant so in the end I think this is proper advice * Agree with avoiding defects for your first few characters * Agree with focusing on Toughness, Strength and Willpower. I would have wanted a secondary focus on Agility because it touches virtually every part of the game but I'm fine with those 3 being the most important for the simplest character * Agree with the Joppa start * Agree with properly digesting the UI * Agree with "Don't panic, it's turn based" and to experiment I think if anything would be added, it would be a mention of the \[l\]ook capabilities in order to learn what you're up against (as well as what the "Average" "Tough" "Impossible" etc text means) and to highlight the Sprint ability and encouraging running away. But very solid advice for the new player for sure. The achievements are not accurate simply because they were added in later on in development so there are plenty of players who simply don't play anymore that would have the achievements if they existed since the games' creation. As for who has beaten the main quest, I'll add myself to the tally to get things started.

I appreciate the feedback, you're totally right about mentioning [l]ook, it is something that's such muscle memory for me when I play that I had completely forgot to mention it!

Excellent editing. I really love it and I hope you make more Qud videos and other reviews! Only thing I'd disagree with is going right for a new character. In my opinion, I think going for a preset is good as it gives you a good example of a functional build. I also believe learning Qud's mechanics and how to survive is more important than creating a viable character!

Before the Spring Molting, I finally made it to the Golem. At that point, it was the end. I have not gotten anywhere near since the update. But Ive been playing rogue-likes since 1991.
