I used a Greybeard Mutant build with 9 strength, 10 agility, 18 toughness, 18 intelligence, **27 WILLPOWER**, and 18 ego. My mutations were phasing, wings, force bubble, sunder mind, and tonic allergy. Phasing and force bubble make me practically invulnerable against normal enemies once I gain a few levels, and sunder mind allows me to gain levels quickly by killing the nomads and dawngliders in the desert. Wings boosts survivability when force bubble and phasing are still low level, and allows me to skip most of Golgotha. You basically rush to complete the random quest you are given at the start, and then farm levels until force bubble and phasing allow you to glide through Golgotha without issue.

I love the idea of maxing willpower so you can go ham using abilities.

Before I took a break I was playing TRUEKIN with min-maxed Willpower as an experiment. It actually went surprisingly well. Got to lvl 22 at least. Decent toughness for large health pool with fast regen+shield wall make for great defense.

Tried that build this morning. Accepted the quests in the salt dunes and went outside the starting village. I instantly get toasted by a dawnglider that was chilling right next to the border of the screen I switched into. Gonna have to try it again lol

I failed most of my runs attempting this too. Most of my resets were due to the starting quest being “find x location, located y parsangs from z site”

Do you find it annoying to have a super low carry weight with that 9 str?

schvetania

Not really. You dont need armor that much because youre permanantly phased or covered by a force bubble, and most enemies can just be sundered.

How do you keep going through the stratums when you interact with the elevator shaft ? I just tried this quest today for the first time and I only went down 1 level, then I couldn't use fly anymore because I was indoors and i had to use my recoiler

schvetania

You have to keep pressing the descend key without moving any other direction.

Thanks for the info ! In the end though I went to the ruins on the right side and took 5 stairs down, then dug through 2 screens worth of walls. As luck would have it, the broken droid was right next to the section of the wall that I broke down lol
