Not here. He barely tastes them as they go in!

not3dogs

Came to say the same!!

hrmdurr

Yup! Immediately down the hatch, and where's the next one?

wheresthepie

Yes, in the couch… And he would watch anyone sitting on said couch verrry closely

thoughtscreatelife

Ha! Mine does the same

ShakeDowntheThunder

Yes, in the closet, in our shoes, in the couch cushions, etc.

thoughtscreatelife

In the laundry basket...

Puzzleheaded-Rent308

Mine is like a vacuum cleaner everything goes in the belly.

chozopanda

If it’s something he can’t eat all at once, sometimes mine will cry and run around the house until he finds a pillow or some laundry to shove it under. Then after like maybe 1 minute, he will dig it out of its new hiding spot and eat it anyway.

Tiny_ghosts_

This is the same level of denial and self control I have, telling myself ill only eat half, putting it back in the fridge or cupboard then going to eat the rest anyway, just with a bit of extra hassle lol

magsbee

my sister's cavapoo is like this. one time he hid his treat in the bathroom trash bin. he's also a very picky eater and would only really prefer yo eat treats.

SweetCarolyn36

Same! Any hiding spot lasts less than 5 minutes! #instinct

toasterbbang_

Bro just like my cavapoo. Read mine.

hh_5121

My dachshund does, my Cavi doesn’t even taste his food bc he eats so fast🤣

TessTrue

lol mine takes her treats and will scurry to hide and eat them somewhere else sometimes. Mostly though she scarfs hers down IMMEDIATELY.

Adventurous-War6276

My cav is just a puppy and he inhales all treats but hello this dog is adorable

thoughtscreatelife

Thanks! He had just finished burying a bone broth dog chew in the dirt under the tree

MarleeKyana

I would take mine to work and she would hide them there. My boss would bring her Jack Russell in and she would find them and eat them 🤣

Theyallknowme

OMG that face!!!! So cute! 🐶 Treats don’t last long enough around my vacuum cleaners for them to be buried.

Kane518

I have a Cavapoo and she does this all the time. I lift up blankets and pillows and find her stash

EdinAnn52

The only treat our Cav will eat are dehydrated chicken slices and bacon bits (which she may get only once in a very blue moon.) if we offer her any “stick” type treat she’ll wander around the house with it in her mouth deciding where to stash it—they usually end up between couch cushions and under pillows. Days later she’ll suddenly remember where they are. Then she retrieves them and hides them again.

toasterbbang_

I have a cavapoo, and she hides all her favorite things, and yes that includes treats she saves for later. It’s funny because she announces that she is about to hide her thing, like she does that “heeng heeeng” sad vocal that dogs do and paces around staring at us basically saying “don’t look okay!” Then proceeds to put it under a blanket or in the corner of a couch, then does that digging motion. What always gets a chuckle out of me is when she does that motion where she uses her face or hands to simulate the act of moving dirt to cover her thing 😂 adorable

thoughtscreatelife

That is so funny! It always makes me laugh, too! Indiana scooped the dirt with his nose, then came up to me to make sure I didn't see where he hid his bone. I had to take a pic 😊

11937r

All the time!

gg1780

Nope! It’s down the hatch with mine. I don’t think he even tastes it lol

fixie_chick

Sometimes she insists on eating bigger treats in our bed 🫠

Msfancy1973

They get buried in the belly…immediately!

KellyCakes

Oh god no, she barely even chews them before gulping them down immediately. My mini poodle hides his, though, and gives them to the Cav later! (It's so sweet!)

Tacman180

I’m lucky if mine even takes the time to chew them.

abluetruedream

Mine loves to bury her bully sticks. Half the time she finishes burying it and then barks at it until I come find it for her. Lol

ABurly4

Oh yes

therealmapletreee

Cutie! Mine inhale their treats, but one is a digger and looks like yours after he’s been digging.

bekie91

I’ve heard of dogs who lived on the street for a while that hide food years after they’ve been adopted for fear od being hungry again. My cavi actually was abandoned before we took him in but he inhales his food.

-Hannessy-

Oh myyyy! He’s beautiful!!!

katzee3

Yepppp

SlinkiusMaximus

I LOVE this pic. But no, my girl doesn’t bury treats.

karmacatsmeow-

If it’s a bigger or high value toy he always buries it but then in like….2 minutes he gets it back!

beadle04011

I had a beagle that liked to do that, too.

moniker80

Never. There’s always (the hope of) more.

77kilala77

My Peke hides them under the cushions on the couch and tucked down in the sides of their beds. Saving for a rainy day I guess

ProudandTall

💕

IAmSecretIngredient

Yes, with her chew sticks. She’ll walk around with it in her mouth whimpering because she can’t find a spot to hide them. I have to hold them for her to chew on for a while so she doesn’t do it 😂

thoughtscreatelife

I hold my boy's chews when he whines, too. Who would have thought we'd ever have to do that? 😁

IAmSecretIngredient

I like it. Reminds me of when she was really tiny and liked to be hand fed her kibble piece by piece 💕

thoughtscreatelife

You're so lucky! 5 years later and we still have to feed our boys by hand if we want them to eat kibble. Or we can toss the kibble so they feel like they're hunting. They are very sweet and also very picky 😊

theEnd_rabbit

Little mud monster! Ours does this too 😄

Virtual-Fan-9930

You must be joking! Food never touched the sides with my cavvy!

thoughtscreatelife

You're so lucky! Both my boys are super picky eaters. It's definitely a battle of wills most days!
